@namcgee I can't stand when people call me Mrs. DH's last name. I kept my last name. So its weird to me to be called by his last name. I also hate when things are addressed to Mr and Mrs DHs full name. Last I checked I didn't merge into one person and I still have a first name.
Also someone in the Dr's office smells heavily of smoke.
@CuppyCakes721 I did change my name when I got married, so it's not that it's offensive to me, it's just...weird and makes me feel old? Living in my hometown where everybody knows my first name and only working jobs where I've either had to wear a name tag or signed all emails with my first name has made using Mrs Lastname very rare. I know she's just trying to be respectful and/or doesn't remember my first name even though I cheered with her daughter in high school.
And yuck, cigarette smoke. There is a little boy in the class that always smells so strongly of smoke, I feel bad for the little guy. He came running and hugged me yesterday when I dropped my son off, not sure why.
It's cold, I'm tired, and I really want one of these right now. First saw them when I was in Norway visiting my brother when he studied abroad. The snuggliest, fuzziest, adult size one piece pj's...but they're hella expensive! Oh well, a girl can dream. It's taking all my will power today not to crawl under my desk and pass out I-) .
I don't like one piece pajamas because when you have to pee...your whole upper body gets really cold!
I am letting DS watch Polar Express this morning because he loves it. Actually everyone in my family loves it but me. The people remind me of mannequins.
Well, went to my OB appointment and thanks to the fact that my blood sugars are all over the place and my BP is creeping up (today it was 145/88) I am now on weekly appointments. I also have to start taking glyburide to hopefully help control the sugar. I've been on the super fabulous GD diet for a week now and my fasting levels are still as high as 155.
I only have about 1 month of work left! Woohoooo! I decided to take some vacation time before baby comes... I think I will need it, especially before Christmas.
I get another ultrasound in the next week or two, they want to double check if she is head down or not. They think she is, but because her back is facing my back right now it is hard to get a good feel of what is down below. All the limbs are forward (fun but not ideal) :P

I have been on glyburide for two days now. Not really helping but we shall see.

@peggels24 That's a good point, I guess. Plus with the frequency that I'm peeing these days, maybe a one piece would be a bad idea. But it just looks so snuggly!
@bkmama I've been doing the exact same thing every week. So exciting to see babies who are the same size/age of my LO and doing well outside the womb!
@Disneygeek77 I thought I was the only person in the world who doesn't like Polar Express, so I'm glad to have company!
I'm glad that I'm a SAHM because it's acceptable to eat things like hotdogs wrapped in crescent rolls for lunch. Yeah, that's right, I just made them for the boys....
@bkmama, that is such a great idea! I never thought to google the babies born at that stage! genius! so much better than picturing them the size of a fruit or the pics that they provide of in utero on the bump
@cuppycakes721 and @namcgee, I use my married last name all the time because in my job I'm always signing my name...but when someone refers to me as Mrs. D... I'm like wait what? thats my mother in law lol. I received an invitation to a bridal shower a few weeks ago address to Mrs. John D.... ummmm its a shower for only women, I'm pretty sure I'm my own person not Mrs. Him.... it was one of the bridesmaids and I'm in the wedding, I didn't rsvp because thats not me. lol they obvioulsy know I'm going since I'm helping plan...but still! absurd!
this is kind of a confession rather than a random, but....The shirt that I'm wearing today is lower cut than I thought. I really should be wearing a tank underneath it. Oh well. I hope my co-workers enjoy the view, because I'm not doing anything to fix it.
I'm on day four of enjoying a Chestnut Prailine Latte from starbucks... I need to simmer the F down- but they are sooo good!! No more until next week!
Also, I think I just need to set up my office on the toilet. I go pee, and not even 10 minutes later, I have to pee again. I swear, LO kicked my bladder 5 minutes after I relieved myself this a.m. and I leaked I'm considering getting the new Always pads for urine leakage. My teeny tiny liners are making me self conscious.
@idontevenknow - I get the always that are either the yellow or the light green wrappers. They are thicker than pantiliners and are still comfortable. They hold some leakage (I know from experience, unfortunately).
I'm just not in the best of moods today. I want to strangle everything in my path.
Last night, DH came home to find I took the AC unit out of the window myself and then proceeded to get mad at me for doing so. Nevermind I've been asking him for over a month to do it himself. He then stays up until 2am watching random crap on TV, playing Clash of Clans.
Woke up to the cat attacking DH's foot because he wouldn't get out of bed to feed him. Fell back asleep only to wake up 30 minutes with an excruciating calf cramp that wouldn't go away.
Made coffee for DH before he went to work (our morning ritual), so I got a couple cups myself, which is a bonus. But then, DH asks me to recycle his beer cans for him because apparently I "need the exercise to the recycle bin". All the while, DH is complaining he's tired because he stayed up until 2am! Don't bitch to me, I don't want to hear it.
Now the cat won't leave me alone and thinks I'm the most comfy thing on the planet. He won't let me up to get more coffee!
I've resorted to eating fudge at 9am to comfort myself. I hate last night, I hate today. It's a "eat all the fudge" kind of day.

H brings me TP from home that I use in the hospital (with their permission) because theirs sucks in 400 ways. And I ran out. Now I have to use their scratchy brillo pad toilet paper until H gets out of work.

I haaaaate being called Mrs. HusbandFirstName LastName. I did change my last name, but not my first name, dammit! I am still my own person - that didn't stop just because I got married.
When do docs switch you over to 2 week visits from 4 weeks?
@peggels24-- I go every 4 until 32 weeks, then have a 35 week appt, 37w, then 38w, 39w, 40w. I'm pretty sure my last OB it was every 2 at 30 weeks, though, then 36w, 37w, etc.
Well, went to my OB appointment and thanks to the fact that my blood sugars are all over the place and my BP is creeping up (today it was 145/88) I am now on weekly appointments. Well he told me to expect some adjustments on dosage over the next few weeks and not to be surprised if it doesn't make a huge impact in the first week. We'll see.
Hunting season starts soon, so I am dreading all the dead deer pictures on my Facebook Feed. I have no problem with hunting whatsoever, I just don't need to see pictures of the dead animal on social media. I don't get it.
Our washing machine flooded our laundry room, kitchen, and master bedroom yesterday. So far $7,000+ in damages, thank goodness for insurance!!! The people that clean up the water and stuff said the fans have to run for 72 hours, so it sounds like there is a jet in our house. I almost cried when they started ripping up my beautiful wood floors. Of course DH and DD leave in the morning for 10 days so it looks like I'll be stuck taking care of ths mess by myself! I kinda wanna get a hotel to stay in because my house is just too depressing right now.
PS. I don't know if it's stress related, but the contrtactions are getting a little too regular for my liking.
Good morning everyone! @mdm159 how exciting, enjoy your last couple days!
Today is my last day of work for the week, and then we go to Omaha tomorrow! I can't wait. It is going to be a busy day, hopefully it goes by quickly.
@ExcitedMama2 - what are ya coming to Omaha for?? You're prepared for it to be cold as f**k when you get here, right? (probably not much colder than any place else, but it was seriously in the 50's this weekend & now it's 1 below with the wind chill.) @-)
Myles was so pumped about the baby . . . until he figured out he'd have to share all his toys!!! >
I've been told I'm too laid back, but I am about to just go apeshit on today. Luckily, he's at work and I'm going to play ESO all day to cool down. Nothing like killing things online to really cheer a girl up.
I'll see how is attitude is when he gets home this evening.

@bkmama I feel the same way! I'm so excited to meet Little Man, but it's actually kind of terrifying that someone is going to call me "mom" for forever and ever. Totally crazy.
@robs baby girl I think a hotel is justified. Some construction, jet plane fans, pregnant lady... Sounds like a good time to take a mini-vacation and sleep on a bed you don't have to change the sheets on.
@Firefly3911 It's just starting to get annoying. He can't put it down for more than 10 minutes without checking his base, or seeing who's fighting in the clan war. I don't have an account, I refuse to play such an addicting game. Been binge watching The Walking Dead (to catch up) on Netflix and I'm just tired of "What did he say?", "I missed that, what happened?", or "Who said that?". Put the damn phone down and WATCH! Grr...
It doesn't help the new expansion for WoW drops tomorrow, and he and his friend already have their weekend planned out playing that. If it isn't one game I lose him to, there's always another for him to fall back on.
I guess this is what I get for marrying a computer geek.

If your house isn't livable, a hotel is covered under your insurance. May I ask what brand washer you had? As an adjuster, I swear every single flooded house from a washer was caused by a GE unit. Let me know if you have any questions about the insurance process!
Having a bit of a rough day today. Didn't sleep well at all and just generally feeling very uncomfortable. I don't think it's going to et any better any time soon either. My one friend mentioned to me that when baby is finally born to take advantage of family members who come to the house to stay and help (my mom and mother in law) and not to feel like I have to stay up and socialize with them. I think I'm going to definitely take this advice. I feel like I won't be able to catch up on sleep for another year or so...
It's also FREEZING out - I'm going to buy a maternity winter coat this weekend. I feel like I'm going to get myself sick if I walk around like I am now with my winter coat on but belly fully exposed.
@bkmama that video made me cry like a baby. Some for what our LO looks like, but also because it made me excited to see H be a cute dad like that too. ::sigh::
I need some T&P for a friend of mine. She is due Jan 13th (doesn't bump though) and her husband is donating his kidney for him mom tomorrow. Please keep them in your thoughts!
Glad to hear a lot of you had good follow up appointments/news!
Yesterday was 70 degrees. Right now we're at 67. Not a brag, I hate it. I'm sweating like a cow.
Where the hell is my brisk fall weather? I feel like we have 2 seasons, summer and winter.
This was me last week! It was still in the 70s and I was not loving it. I was so over being sweaty! This week the high is in the 50s where I am in Texas all week and I am in love. We left for work this morning and it was in the 30s. DH was freezing on the ride over and I had on a short sleeve shirt and cardigan and felt glorious! I've been sleeping better at night too. Hope you get your cold weather soon!

I wish I could put all the blame on my washer, the drain hose came out of the wall so it just drained it's load all over the floor. My house is livable, just undesirable at this moment. But that is good to know about insurance covering a hotel room. If they have to start cutting into sheetrock, then I'm out of there. I can't handle all that added dust on top of this cold.

I have my first formal evaluation EVER tomorrow and I'm trying really hard not to freak out. My vice principal is my evaluator this year. She's nice and very helpful but I'm still nervous. She's observed me informally before and she gave me useful feedback. I just hope my pregnancy hormones won't get in the way when she gives me constructive criticism. I just have to remind myself over and over that she is trying to HELP me become a better teacher.
