Welcome!! This check in is for the ladies who are going to be May 2015 Momma's that have a high risk diagnosis. There are many different reasons a mom can be high risk, and all are welcome to join us.
This check in will be every other week for now but will increase to weekly as we get further along.
If you are new to our check in, please indicate why you are high risk.
I promised myself I'd make sure I got everyone who responded 2 weeks ago tagged in here with personal check ins to each of you but it's been a crazy week at my house as my FIL passed away suddenly last week, so forgive me this week and I promise in 2 weeks I will have you all in here

1. How far along are you now?
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
3. How are your symptoms?
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related)

Re: ~High Risk Check-in~ (11/12)
2) NT Scan is this Friday. A little nervous! Never had one before.
3) I'm still having all day sickness, but it's better on the weekends. The smells at work make me sick!
QOTD- I don't do Black Friday. I sit at home and eat Thanksgiving leftovers and take naps.
My BFP Chart
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? Tomorrow we see MFM, and the genetic specialist for the Harmony testing. I am incredibly nervous. Also, discuss starting progesterone shots.
3. How are your symptoms? I am not as nauseous anymore, just exhausted.
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related) We go to NC to visit my parents, and usually shop there. I am hoping to get some of my Christmas shopping done!

IT'S A GIRL
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? I had a run-of-the-mill midwife appointment last week. Thank goodness for boring appointments! The big thing right now is gearing up to start progesterone shots next week. I am currently working with my MFM's nurse to figure out what compounding pharmacy to use and who will give me the shots (leaning toward my H).
3. How are your symptoms? Fine. I have been extremely busy at work, so I am really tired, but that is about it. I had some debilitating heartburn on Tuesday, but thankfully that's not a regular thing.
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related) No way! If I try to get special deals, it's only online. I would never brave those crowds.
Daughter born at 34 weeks due to PPROM, July 2012
Expecting baby #2, May 8, 2015
May 2015 signature challenge for January: "You had ONE job!"
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? Had my colposcopy done yesterday and got put on bed rest( well as much as I can with 3 kids) because my cervix is really swollen. She put my on antibiotics, medicine for me to not throw up and on a stool softener so I don't put extra pressure on my cervix.
3. How are your symptoms? I feel pretty good at the moment.
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related) it's different every year. I might go if I find some good deals on something the kids want.

IT'S A BOY
And ohhhh leftovers, I.cant.wait.
1. How far along are you now?
14w5d (holy crap!)
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
I had my first appointment for this pregnancy with my diabetes nurse. I was so excited to see her this time, as I've worked really hard to get things under control, and so far no changes to meds. Hooray!
3. How are your symptoms?
Still, just really tired. And my boobs have started getting a bit uncomfortable.
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related)
Oh, hell no! I think this year we'll avoid town for the entire weekend and just run up to Vancouver to hang out for a few days.
12 long, hard years of TTC-
Miscarriages, losses, lots of treatments & drugs & IVF
Natural BFP (WTF?!) - 06/04/11 ~ lots of complication and drama, but sweet baby Adele born 02/07/12!
BFP #million -another girl for us! EDD - 05-08-15 (but will come early)
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? My NT scan went great and apparently I have the same risks as a 29 year-old (I'm 43.) My blood pressure seems to be holding steady right now with it a little higher than normal for me, but not in the range of being really worrisome so I'm hoping it stays that way. I just had my Lovenox levels checked and they are good. I have an appointment with my hematologist next week. On Monday I go for a cervical length check so just fingers crossed that it looks good and then I assume I'll be scheduling my anatomy scan.
3. How are your symptoms? Okay. I still feel sick off and on and every once in a while throw up but this is such a drastic change from my other pregnancies where I was sick all.the.time that I'm actually really pleased. The exhaustion is hard though. I'm falling asleep sometimes before I even get my older kids into bed.
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related) I don't really shop on Black Friday. Some years I'm working but even if I don't, I just don't like shopping in general, much less shopping in huge crowds of crazed people. I tend to buy most of my stuff online and this year I'm way ahead and have already bought and wrapped (!) all the kids gifts. I just need to figure out something for my parents and my husband.

2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? I'm going in today for our N/T Scan and an appointment. No more bleeding since last week. I'm so thankful. I can't wait to see our tiny baby! I'm thinking we will do our bloodwork today too.
3. How are your symptoms? I'm feeling so much better. m/s is basically gone. I'm still not pooping as much as I'd like but really, who is? I'm still tired but I'm hoping I'll get that second tri jolt of energy.
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related) I usually do BF shop. I love it. I've always gone with my mom, sister and Grammy. It's a tradition. Lately I've been meh about it. The crowds are much worse than they used to be and the stores open earlier and earlier. When I was working retail a few years ago I had to work Thanksgiving Day. Total bummer. That being said they are my favorite store at the moment. They have a killer deal on holiday ribbon and I use it on all my gifts. I'm obsessed and love stocking up. They usually have it at like 75% off!

@Igsdesigner NT scan is just a more in depth u/s think of it as a mini a/s. They just look around and take measurements. They have specific things they are looking for.
@emu0013 FX for great results from the Harmony.
@rels09 I do not envy you with the prog. shots. Hopefully your H has a nice bedside mannor and can give a shot easily. I know lots of gals who just give up and do it themselves.
@T1green I bet the pump makes your life so much easier. I have an old hs friend who was diabetic. She just had her first baby and she really struggled. Hopefully things go easier for you! I really felt for her. She's never cared much about her health before so being on top of it was not her strong point.
@Redcherry1109 hopefully bedrest helps and you can get back to regular life soon! That must be so hard.
@EntropicEpona so glad you like your nurse! It makes such a huge different when you have a good team!
@itsmkevb it sounds like things are good on your end! That's awesome that your risk is so low. That must have been really encouraging to hear!

2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? I have an appointment tomorrow because I had to cancel my appointment last week, so much for every other week appointments. This makes me have weekly appointments
3. How are your symptoms? Much better, except I have been having moments of feeling like I am going to pass out, usually in the morning, usually if I haven't eaten enough, things have been crazy, so I need to just be better about focusing on myself and this baby.
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related) Heck yes, I black friday shop. I love it, I stay up all night with my sisters and we go to every store we can possibly think of. This year I will be traveling to visit family so I will have to make a strategic plan for getting things back home
1. How far along are you now? 15 weeks, today!
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
3. How are your symptoms? Still really tired but other then that, doing great!
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related) I used to get every year but the last few years it hasn't been worth it. If I find some great deals on nursery furniture then I might go after that.
Hope yours are okay, I know sometimes they can pinch or sting.

2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? My liver biopsy came back as choleostasis - though not choleostasis of pregnancy and possibly choleostasis of sepsis? Right now, my levels are on the downward trend so that is good. I'm still getting used to the handful of pills everyday and Lovenox injections for the lupus. I feel like I get something new each week. I'm looking forward to my 16 wk appt next week! Can they tell the gender with the MFM ultrasound?
GTKY: Do you Black Friday shop? If so where is your favorite place to go, what's on your must get list this year? (Doesn't have to be baby related) Never.
2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?
Right now my doctor is just keeping a close eye on the baby to make sure it's growing the way it should be. I'm also running some genetic tests to make sure the brain formed correctly in the early days because I was super sick.
3. How are your symptoms?
I'm super sick all the time. I've lost seven pounds since I got pregnant, so, we're just focusing on making sure I maintain the my healthy weight. This is the longest I've gone without extreme weight loss since high school.
