post nasal drip

DD seems to have a bad case of post nasal drip that started about a week ago. I'm not really sure how it originated because she hasn't been sick or shown any sign of congestion. However, when she nurses, I can hear it and she struggles to breathe.

Any advice on how to help clear this up?

    At what age did you start giving Zyrtec? My son has allergies too and also takes it daily, but started this summer.

    I can't remember if it was this spring (maybe 10 months) or this summer (about 12 months).  She was sick nonstop until we got food allergies under control, and it's all a blur now.
