TTC after 35

Newbie

Hello! I am 36 and my DH and I have been TTC. 4 yrs ago when we started dating we were wait and see, then a  year and a half ago I started Clomid, did that unregulated for 6 months then saw a specialist who though that I had endometriosis, had surgery last March and I did have it and 3 cysts, had all that removed or so we were told, the camera that they used during surgery took before pictures but they told my DH that it "ran our of film" or something to capture the after. After that surgery the dr said that our best bet was to do IUI bc I didn't have many eggs left. We've done 2 rounds of that with clomid, after the first round my AF didn't come for 40 days so they did an US and it showed a 5mm cyst which was bc of the clomid, the 2nd round I have 4 cysts in the left ovary and 3 in the right. I was put on BC to get the cysts to go away and to "calm down" the ovaries. Now I am having horrible cramps and think that I have my AF even tho the pack says it should be another week and a half!

My DH and I have an appt with an Infertility clinic at one of the specialty hospitals in our area. My insurance does not cover any infertility treatments once there has been a transfer procedure done, so it's $250.00 just to go talk to them. So I don't know if we will be able to keep that appt.

All I have ever wanted was to be a mom, my DH has a wonderful 6 yr old, who I love like my own but he isn't and his mom really keeps me aware of the.

"SA" is the acronym for sperm analysis. I agree with @meredithcarole's advice.

  • We've done that. His guys are good. Went US yesterday and the cysts are there but smaller. My DH and I decided that we are going to stop all the tests and meds, at least for a break. My stress level has been thru the roof.
  • I am sorry for your high stress :( I hope you find your break helps a bit, good luck!

I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.
