My nesting urges this time around have mostly been about diapers (no surprises there) and food, and I've actually run out of room to store my own freezer meals. We actually have so much food that I only had to meal plan for three days this week. So instead of getting just the stuff that we needed, today I went out and bought a huge box full of food to donate in preparation for this holiday season.
I felt really weird and judged, because they immediately followed me to have a second cashier help ring up my stuff. I would tell myself that it's because I am pregnant with a toddler and overflowing cart, except they NEVER do that with me when I am buying an overflowing cart of just our normal (fresh) ingredients. I think they saw all my stuff and assumed I was going to be presenting them with like 800 coupons and wanted to get me out of there quickly. Especially after reading the FFFC today about people judging the contents of shopping carts (and who am I kidding, I've done it too) I was very self conscious. Also, I still have more that I need to buy, so I'm not looking forward to that.

I have entertained the idea of posting a newbie thread- something like...intro, new to CD, or stash critique. Just to see if anyone would recognize me and call me out. Or if I would get legit responses.

If you post an intro you're not likely to get ANY responses. Lol.

Intros always get responses- from other newbies. They're all: "hey, me too!" I find this very odd.

the talk of pumpkin pie reminded me of a question. A former student/ girl from youth group was saying that she never had pumpkin pie because she could never find one without nutmeg and she is allergic to nuts. I have never heard of anyone who is allergic to nuts having to avoid nutmeg as it's a seed, but I don't argue with people who have allergies. Has anyone ever heard of nutmeg allergies?
Now I'm going to have to try maples pumpkin pie and share with this girl as it is nutmeg free. I'm looking forward to it, even though I love the recipe I have.
My craft room doubles as our guest room, and a lot of times I've had A nap in here on the bed while I work on whatever projects. Right now she's falling asleep on the floor, but I know that if I try to get her to go into the bed she'll freak out at me. So I guess I'm gonna let my kid nap on the floor.

@joyfultrex I did extensive research on the nutmeg thing bc PJ is sensitive to nuts, and kept having massive reactions after I had made the pumpkin syrup and some pumpkin muffins. Research shows that nutmeg is NOT a nut and is perfectly safe for those with nut allergies. (Turned out P was reacting to a splash of Worcestershire sauce in the roast bc it has soy.) That being said, I actually much prefer pumpkin pie with cinnamon/ginger/cloves and no nutmeg.

I am going to have to try pumpkin pie this way since I never had it. I really didn't think that she couldn't have nutmeg, but I'm not going to be the one to say "it's fine, eat this" and then have her react to it. It was rather comical as we were arguing about it being a nut or not. I was saying no, she was saying it is. She kept saying it says NUT in the name. Then a 3rd person who is in the coast guard, originally from CT, but stationed here said I'm from the nutmeg state. It's a nut. Then brings up the fact that I went to UConn and I should be ashamed I didn't know it was a nut. They all ganged up on me and I totally lost the argument and had to go home and look it up to be sure I was right.
OMG, my BWI friends are torturing me. I now wish Cade liked being wrapped and that I had money. Risaroo is doing a preorder for the Harry Potter wrap I've been coveting.
This morning I really thought that today was THE day. Between contractions I've only slept for like three or four hours, but they ended up tapering out in the late morning.
I am so not complaining. During each one, I would think to Katniss 'Hey it's ok if you're choosing today to be born as long as you're ready, but I'd also appreciate the extra time.' She decided to listen, I think, so I've been busting my butt all afternoon getting stuff done.
Side note: if you are in a standoff with your husband, thinking that you are going into genuine labor is a good way to settle the argument. Car seat is installed, and my bag still isn't packed. #iwin

Oh yeah, I have pneumonia. It's super fun. And the trip to the emergency room was even more fun.
Done complaining now. Back to watch the Packers kick some butt.
Boo. I hope you get better quickly.

Oh pray for me! And for P! The nanny called in, and the ILs are going To watch the girls. They have never kept P. Ever. They've never even changed her diaper. But I'm in back to back meetings till noon. This is literally the only day this month that I couldn't take off. Please don't let them break my baby! Oh, and it doesn't help that she didn't sleep last night and now she's all off schedule.
