  My girls always had a 6oz difference and were born with that same difference. However, they never looked at it that way. It was always whether each baby was staying on their own growth curve (di/di). They pushed a couple of my scans up because baby A kept dropping, but she recovered by the last one before I had them. Sounds like your doctor is just being cautious as it was a sudden change. Hang in there!

  E had severe IUGR, but my MFM didn't catch it. I went to almost 38 weeks and who knows when she stopped growing. She was 3 pounds, 3 ounces at birth, 2 pounds & 11 ounces smaller than H. So I say it's a good thing to be in the hospital being monitored. I know it's scary, but it sounds like you're getting good care.

  I'm not sure what's happening, but, ask a nurse or doc to explain it to you again (blame it on not sleeping well in the hospital).  T&P for all 3 of you!!

  Sorry you are in this position! Just try to stay relaxed and ask all the questions you can think of, it is you body and your babies! Hopefully someone explains what's going on very soon. Good luck!

  That has to be very scary, but you are in the best place possible for your babies.  Keep asking questions until you are comfortable with the answers.  Also, having had two trips to L&D myself, I would suggest you take them up on a sleeping pill if they will allow you to have it.  My first two nights in L&D for monitoring I did not sleep and I was a basket case. My nurse finally convinced me to take an ambien and the next morning I was able to think about things more clearly and calmly.

  Thanks ladies... Babies are both doing well and we know are very confident we can keep them in another week. I'm not in preterm labor and baby's a is doing great on his twice daily NST. We won't know much until our scan on Thursday to check fluids and growth.
  
  They are having me up my protein mainly with meat Greek yogurt and cheese etc.. They are trying to find me a protein shake but I have a soy allergy and they mostly have soy. And of course making me drink tons of water!
  
  I did take the ambienaat night and slept better than I have in months!!
  
  I'm at a very good hospital with a level 3 NICU so I know this is the best place to be its just been very scary.

  Hey girl I was lurking and just wanted to say I'm thinking positive thoughts for you and the babies!! FX everything is ok.

  ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
  Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

  ((hugs)) I know it's scary and I'm sending T&Ps that all will be ok! I spent 2 weeks in the hospital in 2nd tri and this is when they discovered my baby B was very small compared to baby A. Of course as a precaution they told me every horrible outcome and ran tons of tests. Turns out she's just a peanut. Still in newborn clothes at 4 months, despite her brother being close to moving into 6 month clothes! FX he's just a smaller baby and is doing just fine. My babies were born at 33 weeks and baby B weighed 1lb 6oz less than A and she was healthier at birth! (Spent more time in NICU just to gain weight, though.) Anyway, I know there are a bunch of different possibilities that you have to consider, but I hope all turns out perfectly!
