Stupidest topic ever, but anyone ever get ingrown (armpit) hairs?!

WTF?! I thought perhaps I was finally getting sore boobs, but noticed the pain was more in my arm pit.  I forgot about it until an article popped up on my Yahoo!News feed about a woman who was diagnosed with estrogen-fueled breast cancer at the age of 32 during pregnancy.  (SMH because this will now be my new stress...)  This got me to thinking of this soreness under my arm and when I looked I have a small lump under my arm where I shave.  I feel like it's probably a shaving-related thing, but I don't see an ingrown hair.  

Anyone ever have this issue?  Web MD lists some suggestions of things that are not pregnancy-safe.

Me: 27 DH: 27

October 2013: Endo erosion/ Clear HSG

March 2014: SA #1/  2%morph, borderline sperm count, decent motility

June 2014: SA#2/  2% morph, low sperm count, worse motility

Plan: "Quick Start IVF"/antagonist protocol with Follistim, Ganirelix, Ovidrel and progesterone suppositories (yay)

High AMH (11) and Low BMI= low doses of everything to prevent OHSS

July 27, 2014: Started Follistim injections for ten days

July 31, 2014: U/S= 20 follicles, 8.5 lining, E2 is good, Ganirelix for 4 days starting 8/2

August 4, 2014: 14 follicles on-track, good lining, Trigger 8/6

August 9, 2014: 9 ICSIed/ 5 embryos; aiming for a 5dt on 8/13

August 13, 2014: 5DT of 1 4BA almost-hatching blastocyst (Please hang in, Little Bug!)

August 14, 2014: We have 3 frosties! Hope they're having fun hanging out together. :)

August 23, 2014: Beta #1: 144 8/23/14: Beta #2: 374 Beta 8/25/14  Beta #3: 6,600 9/3/14

September 9, 2014: Ultrasound #1 115 heartbeats per minute

September 23, 2014: Ultrasound #2 182 heartbeats per minute

    Yes I had this a couple weeks ago and was concerned. It went away after a few days though so I assume it was just an ingrown hair. I get them very occasionally anyway so I was pretty certain it was that but of course was worried until it went away.

    Yup I have had ingrown armpit hair. Try holding a warm wet facecloth to it to get the pore to open. If it doesn't get better in a few days, see your primary care or a dermatologist

    Warm compresses and a product called tendskin from sephora work well for me.

    TTC since 3/2011 Adenomyosis, LPD, hypothyroidism. 
    BFP on 7/20/12 after 4 cycles Clomid + IUI 
    2 large subchorionic hematomas & no heartbeat at 7w6d   
    D&E 8/18/12 Sonohysterography found septum and necrotic tissue.   
    Hysteroscopy to remove both 10/5
    IUI #5-7 50mg Clomid + trigger = BFN

    If its not an ingrown hair, it could also be a lymph node. They can sometimes harden if they get plugged or if you're fighting something.

    Either way a warm, moist compress several times a day should help :)

    Sorry, I'm a PAIF grad and I was sort of lurking over here and saw this.  I had a lump in my right armpit for my entire pregnancy.  It wasn't red, there was no ingrown hair, it didn't really hurt, but got sore if I messed with it.  About 2 weeks after giving birth, it just disappeared.  My OB said it could just be one of those weird pregnancy things.  If it got worse, or lasted after I gave birth she was going to do an u/s of it.  But it's gone now.  Just thought I'd share.

    ^ This. Normally, pain is not an indicator of breast cancer (good news!) You probably have a harmless ingrown hair or simply a benign little lump. Try the warm compresses, then see your doc if it doesn't go away. Even if it doesn't go away, do your best to not stress. I've had this, had to go see a radiologist and worried myself sick. Babies hate the stress. Be kind and patient with yourself!

    BFP! Out of nowhere, I got KU the old fashioned way! POAS 1/26/14 - Positive! FDLM 12/30/13. Beta #1 16dpo= 373. Beta #2 18dpo= 801. EDD 10/6/14
    2/4/14 1st U/S revealed a 5wk2day sac but no fetal pole. Started 200mgs of progesterone suppositories daily
    2/11/14 2nd U/S revealed a perfect 6wk1day "diamond ring" embryo with a beating heart! 138bpm! Add 1mg folic acid and 40mg Lovenox
    2/25/14 3rd U/S: perfect 8w1d embryo, 178bpm. 3/6 start spotting. 3/11 10w1d U/S shows no heartbeat. Scheduling D&C. The Stork has forsaken me again.
    IVF #5.2: New in-state RE. Supplement priming for 1.5 cycles prior to start of cycle, including DHEA 50mg (stopped 5/15), CoQ10 200mg 2x/day, L-Arginine- 1000mg 2x/day (stopped 6/5 due to cold sore!), myo-inositol- 2g 2x/day, melatonin- 3mg, and Neevo (prenatal for MTHFR).
    5/16/14 Day 2 bw cycle prior: FSH- 12.22, E2- 38.37, Prog- 1.35, LH- 9.46. 6/2/14 Day 19 bw: Prog- 23
    6/12/14 Baseline: E2- 122.7, Prog- 0.4. 5 follicles in left, 4 follicles in right. Start stims: 375IU Follistim & 150IU Menopur. 6/19 Increase Follistim to 425IU, Menopur still 150IU. 6/18 add Ganirelix. 6/23 Ovidrel trigger SQ. 6/25 ER: 8R, 8M, 5F naturally. Start Medrol & Doxy. 6/26 Start Endometrin. 7/2 Start Lovenox.
    7/8/14 Beta= 137.4 BFP!!! (My first from IVF!) E2- 1109, Prog- >60. Stop CoQ10, myo-inositol, and melatonin. 7/9 2nd Beta= 281.4. TSH- 2.70. Increasing Synthroid to 100mcg daily. 7/24 6w3d u/s measured 6w3d, hb: 121bmp! 8/5 8w1d u/s measured 8w3d, hb: 164bpm! Graduated from RE to OB. Now I just need to find an OB!
    EDD 3/18/15!
