carrying low! Please help

ok so I am having a girl! I have 50 days left and I was hurting all day today and I had a church thing I had to go too and one of the lady's was talking to me and she said i looked like I had gotten bigger for the day before and my best friend that has 3 kids said it looked like I am carrying very low all of a sudden. What is that suppose to mean? Baby coming soon or nothing?

    I am sorry I didn't mean it like she has 3 kids so she knows more then u all! I just meant she has kids but she didn't go into detail about why she thought that. Sorry if I offended anyone.

    No one can tell from looking at you when you are due. It could've just been the shirt you were wearing. If you actually feel different and need some advice, go to your doctor.

    I've been carrying low this whole pregnancy. Baby never has gone up into my ribs much. I think with babies you either get ones that move up or all around & kick the crap out of your ribs. Or you have babies like mine who stay low, head down this whole pregnancy and punching the crap out of my bladder & cervix. But doc checked cervix yesterday (how very unpleasant) and it is still high & mostly closed! He said he would guess I have at least a few weeks to go yet! So my guess is you are A OK. But like other posters said check with doc if you are super concerned.

    Lol my grandma randomly said that to me too on Wednesday, I just took it as another one of those things people say to pregnant women.

    Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. I had one person tell me that I was carrying very low then the next day another tell me how high I was carrying. It was most likely they were just trying to start conversation. Bring it up with your OB, but unless you notice signs of labor, I wouldn't stress. :)

    I think I've shared this before, but when I was pregnant with #1 in the course of 30 minutes two seperate women came into the copyroom @ work and said "oh my goodness you are carrying to low you'll NEVER make it to May!!" And "wow, you're still carrying really high for being due in May!"

    Both of these women were totally serious and convinced they were right. People don't know shit.

    I carry super high so I get the opposite of "oh you aren't going to go into labor anytime soon" bc my boobs basically rest on my stomach.

    However I can tell you this means nothing. I went into labor "carrying high" with both of my girls.

    He actually wasn't my patient, I was helping another nurse by hanging his TPN and he decided this was an appropriate time to start talking abortion and statistics, as well as a birth defect one of his aborted siblings had.

    I told his nurse about it after, and she goes "oh yeah, he's schizophrenic." Apparently he also had shingles. Thanks miss 20-year pediatric nurse for sending the 8 months pregnant lady in.

    Oh I don't know, early 50's maybe. When that unit has low census on the peds side, the peds nurses take adult patients as well.

    Is it bad that I'm relieved that he was schizophrenic? At least you know he wasn't thinking all that well... still, they couldn't give you a little warning??

    @ColeyCannoli‌ - it definitely explained some things! There is one unit in particular where I just assume everyone is mental, but that wasn't the unit.
