@musicfanatic Awww so cute that you're excited for snow. This funny account has been around since I was a kid. You have to read the whole thing-- it's made up journal entries that go from December 8 through Jan 8 of someone's first experiences with snow.
Another bad sleep to add to the list of ladies. I forgot to take my meds/supplements at dinner and suffered. The 1/2 bag of Doritos probably didn't help...
Also, it's a full moon and the kids at school are nutso.
Coworkers had a baby shower last night for my friend and I (we are due a week apart). It was a ton of fun and I am so thankful to work with such great people!

I'm no stranger to snow.. I might have grown up in Hawaii, but at 13 I moved to upstate NY. And we averaged 65" a year! (yep) .. I'm wondering how Canada will compare, because we got a ton back in NY. I think the temps may average colder here, but I don't think the snow will shock me. I got that out of my system at 13.. and boy was I shocked. But I really do love snow, I think it's gorgeous.

I miss snow SO much. I think I was the only adult in GA that was positively giddy that we had two snowpocalypses last winter
Well I hope you get more!
I mean sure, it can be annoying and cold. But gosh, it's just sooooo magical to me and beautiful. Especially the first snow fall and if it happens in the early evening as it starts to get dark? LOVE!!!!!!! The only thing I hated in NY was the crazy big 12" snow storms.. and then you get no break and 5 days later you get 6" more... and there's no room on the streets and people seem to forget how to drive? I hate that. I don't like ice, either. Otherwise, you wo't hear me whine about the snow.

I just ordered some of the Christmas presents for J's daughters. They always want to play outside at our apt, but we don't have any "outside" toys. I got them one of those super frisbees (the one that's like a ring instead of a plate), a football (they've been asking for one for a while), double dutch jump rumps WITH a book a jump rope rhymes and a book of street rhymes (Miss Mary Mack, anyone?), and, the thing I am most excited about, a SKIP IT!! I freaking LOVED mine when I was a kid and I didn't have anyone to compete against! I really hope they love everything.
I LOVED my skip it! I told my husband the other day I wanted to get my 8 year old one because he was trying to use a rope the other day jumping over it like be would a skip it. We went to toys r us and didn't have any!
I feel like utter crap today. Cant shake this headache, nausea and dizzyness. Luckily im in good company today and little miss Millie keeps coming and checking on me... And im paid to watch her... Whos watching who here

@MusicFanatic, don't wish more snow on GA! Two inches of snow is enough to literally shut down interstates because our drivers and cities don't have the equipment or experience to be able to handle it.
Ok, fine, it can happen, but just not when I'm trying to drive to the hospital. I don't want to be one of those moms giving birth in a snowstorm on the side of the highway.
I totally want to veg out in front of hallmark channel and watch Christmas movies in my pj's. Sooo tired. But it try to keep the tv off mostly for my 2.5 yr old. So I will just sit on the back porch while he runs himself tired.
Loved the skip it! I kind of remember the jingle from the commercial too!
I want to curl up at home with tea and a movie tonight. But I have book club. I usually get excited for book club but honestly, I'm freaking tired! And I have bad heartburn again today. I hope I make it more than an hour without passing out on my friend's couch
I loved the skip it, too! That would be a fun post, to see what toys you had you want your kids to have, too. I also loved my pogo ball (that doesn't look right when I type it!) and my roller racer. And my scooter. But the scooter had real tires and hand brakes.
We had snow here (about an inch, and it melted by the next day) and it completely shut everything down. People were buying bread and water like a hurricane was coming. But it was so pretty and nice to see.
Yay, just got a call from my doctor that I passed my second 1-hour! Even though I was supposed to get the 3-hour and fasted beforehand and everything! I just barely passed with a 129, though, so I am a little bit worried that I do have some slight issue.
SKIP IT FTW!!! you are awesome, @ladyamanuet! i had three when i was a kid. i started with one pink one, but the head went flying off at the playground one day, lol. then my mom and my dad (divorced) each bought me another (one each yellow and blue), while my stepdad fixed the broken pink one.
re: snow. it's awesome, as long as i don't have to shovel it or run errands in it. and i'm usually sick of it by early-february (probably because of said shoveling and running errands).
i finally toasted the pumpkin seeds i saved from carving pumpkins last week. YUM.

Last night for the first time my dog who loves to snuggle finally snuggled up with my bump/baby. It melted my heart. He ended up falling asleep with his head resting on my belly and would occasionally snuggle in more. Now i know he usually likes to snuggle in...but he doesn't usually rest on me, more like next to me. I just thought it was the sweetest thing, even if he thought he was just getting a good head rest, I like to think it was baby and doggy bonding time :-)
Our puppy snuggled up to my bump the other day for a nap. Baby kicked her, and she jumped a little! I don't think she knew what was happening.
I'm on a plane (hasn't taken off - maintenance - boo), and the lady next to me has her keyboard click noise thing on and an annoying texting noise. And someone near me is eating a sub sandwich or something else that smells like onions. But we made it on the flight, and DS is being good so far!
I had DH call in an order for pizza. We swing by in our way home to pick it up. I pay and they say it will be a little bit. So we sit and wait. After 25 minutes (almost an hour from the time we called) they ask us what name it was. We tell them and they were like oh, we don't have an order for you. First of all, who the hells pizza did I just pay for and second of all, couldn't you have told me that when I gave you my name!!!!

I love the snow too, but I really get tired of the cold and dark and wind of winter... If it could stay sunny at -5 with no wind, with light fluffy snow, I would be happy all winter :P
DH and I went to the movies tonight to see Interstellar. The theater by us is renovated with super comfy reclining chairs - which is the only way I'd agree to watch a 3 hour movie with this big belly. It's also reserved seating, so I picked out two seats on the aisle so that I could get up a million times to pee without stepping over anyone.
So we get into the theater.... No reclining seats in the IMAX, even though it was almost $20 per ticket. There's no possible way I could sit straight up for 3 hours without being completely miserable, so we got a refund and left (with the popcorn and drink I had already bought). So it's netflix in bed instead!

It took me two tries to get off the couch. Not cool.
