Re: WTF Wednesday

  • ***pregnancy mentioned***

WTF to my RE who has gone on maternity leave a few weeks early and as such will not be doing my surgery tomorrow.  Now another doctor from the practice who I've never met will be doing it.  I don't want to postpone since I've already been waiting a month to do this.  I know it's not the doc's fault, and I hope everything is ok, but I'm just annoyed!

Me: 31 (PCOS) possible right tube issues DH: 36 (SA normal)
Started dating in 2006, Married 2012
    TTC since November 2013
First RE visit due to irregular periods: June 2014
Lap/Hysto to remove polyps, cyst and tube blockage 11/6
Cycle 1 (Dec. 2014) TI with Clomid, Trigger, & Progesterone CX due to no response
Impatiently Waiting CD1 to try again with Fermara Back on the bench due to giant cyst,
who know I'd ovulate on my own after a cancelled cycle and end up with a mega cyst :(
    All Welcome

  • @shafwilson, I would be miffed too. You build a trust with your doc and it is hard when you don't know the new doc.

@iPutKetchupOnKetchup‌ the previous homeowner sounds like an idiot. FX that is the worst of any damage he might have caused.

WTF is up with this supposed "IF grad" posting all over this board today with useless information and no siggy warning. I'm cranky and she's annoying the fuck out of me.
THIS! I had to take a moment to regroup after reading that post. Insensitive, hurtful, rude, inappropriate....and every other adjective I can't think of right now.

  • yes, thank you, WTF to that "grad".  She is dumb, at best.  I
  • WTF nurse?! The only information you gave me last week about my RE referral was the last name. No first name, no clinic name, appointment info - nothing. And tell me you're the only one who does it & you'll be gone til Monday (this is Wednesday), but I can go ahead & research the Dr on my own. And leave a super sweet note to your co-workers not to give me any more information because patient KNOWS you will call me on Monday. Then you are gone on Monday. You call me on Tuesday saying you told me the wrong Dr's name & act annoyed that I can't talk more because I'm working an election precinct WITH my mother in law who knows nothing about any of this. WTF, lady and you also get my TP for tomorrow. So now my first RE appointment is in between Christmas & New Year's.

@wifeofafarmer WTH?? That nurse sounds horrible. And who doesn't give a referral with out complete information. I hope she gets you the rest of the info ASAP!

WTF to my DH - He volunteered our house for Thanksgiving!! ARGH! I wouldn't mind it if I didn't have to work a night shift the night before. I wish I could just throw my hands up say fine you take care of the house cleaning and prepping but I like to be in control so I know that won't work. This is my "in laws" holiday and I can only handle them for so long.....this is going to be a long Thanksgiving weekend!

  • SO.
    MUCH.
    WTF.

... to our building manager, who just gave us a 60-day lease termination. They're tearing down our beloved, gorgeous, 1910 brick greystone with original hardwood and built-ins to make shitty updated condos. Nothing like a move during holiday season and hormone medications to make a girl fucking insane.
  • ******pregnancy, baby mentioned*******************This is more of a OPP or TP than WTF, but it pisses me off so much, I'm just seing red right now and need to bitch it out. WTF to the white trash on my facebook feed posting about her ultrasound today, how she's so glad it's a boy this time and would be pissed if another girl. Oh, and how you can "definitely tell he's a (insert last name here) because look how BIG the goods are!" How about you just be fucking happy to have a healthy baby (because that was the purpose of this ultrasound, not to make sure he got the "right" genitalia) in addition to your beautiful healthy little girl?!? Nah, go ahead and be proud of the size of your fetus' dick and class yourself up all over FB, trash. (I know, I know...delete her...in this case it's one of those "keep your enemies closer" situations. That and I just can't let it go I guess.)

  • @iPutKetchupOnKetchup‌ OMG I feel for you! We have been in our house 2 years now and have finally just fixed all of the things the previous owner has done. Do you have a home warranty plan?! We had it free for a year and just keep extending it year after year...the price stinks but man we've used it a lot! Why are people idiots?!

My WTF goes to AF. Where are you?! Why haven't you visited? Or called to say you're on your way? Or sent a text you're running late? I'm on day 5 of my placebo/sugar pills and I'm anxiously awaiting your visit. I just want to start my first medicated cycle!!

She pulled the brackets out of the ceiling and everything. Hubby is not handy at all, so I'll have another WTF when he comes home and tries to fix it. I guess I better call my dad to save the day.

My history report comes out to 221 pages - that's $221 dollars. Ridiculous, I spoke to the manager and got them to email it to me. I'll print it out from home and waste my own ink.

WTF show that I have been waiting months to catch up on but was waiting for DH to go out of town so I could have a wonderful night all by myself! I was all nestled on the couch, with a big slice of pumpkin pie cheese cake in my lap, ready to begin. I pressed play, and an sonogram pops up. Surprise pregnancy! I tried convincing myself it didn't bother me, but I could only make it through 5 minutes. IF has ruined special alone tv time!!! Thank goodness for pumpkin pie cheese cake.

  • WTF to my husband's employer. He comes home last night and says he has 'sorta bad news'. I'm thinking they put him on midnights or something. No. They are switching health insurance providers the first of the year. So my heart sinks. I just knew that was the end of the hope for  IVF if we needed it. And what if my RE doesn't take it. I was freaking out and pissed off. He's telling my how there's going to be copays and 80/20 bullshit. My husband is a coal miner. He works freaking hard in dirty ass, dangerous conditions. The least they can do is give him awesome insurance. Anyways, it turns out that its not so bad coverage. They do cover infertility but it has to be pre-authorized. If we aren't approved, I will go BSC on someone but I'm sure it will be fine. And I emailed my RE and asked if they take this insurance and they do. So not a huge deal. Just a little more out-of-pocket. I'm still pissed at his work. I feel like he isn't being appreciated. But this is still good coverage and I am thankful for it.

  • I would like to send a big WTF to those 'friends of a friend' you meet at different events, who tell you (multiple times) - oh, we should hang out, call me, let's get together, get coffee, ect. And then when you decide maybe they really mean it & suggest a time/place they never respond or blow it off. If you don't actually want to hang out, don't tell me you do. Don't suggest activities we "should do". Just end conversations with 'it was nice to see you' & leave it at that. Seriously, what is wrong with people?
