    It's kind of creepy to me that people shave for their Dr.
    I don't need to impress her and I really don't give a shit about her opinion on my body hair.

    I mean, if your aim is to make an impression on your OB, go for it, I guess.

    To bring it back to what this thread was about, It has been awhile since I shaved.  I don't plan on shaving anytime soon, though I would like to shave before giving birth cause I don't want all that blood and crap stuck to my hair. Gross.  I feel like it would be easier to keep clean if I shave although I always get itchy as the hair grows back in so then I'd be dealing with pain and an itchy vagina.  We'll see if it's even possible.

    I did a hack and shaved standing up before my bathroom mirror.  took a shower, came out, and rinsing my razor in the sink was able to get all the itchy bits and even the lips without a nick.  feels ok, not the closest shave but looks better.  did jump back in to rinse off.

    only downside was standing naked before the big mirror and harsh lights lol

    FIrst, I also find it weird that people shave "for" their OB. They really do not care. I actually used to be casual friends with a gyno and I did ask her once if they ever noticed such things. She said in all honesty, being human, OB's will sometimes privately judge people, but it's usually more for bad hygiene than body hair (like, don't go for a pap smear straight from the gym without showering, because eww, you stink). And yes, they've seen it ALL when it comes to bushes, from gigantic 70's style pelts to completely shaved down, and they really don't care.

    Second, on the tattoo front, one of the OB's in my office is a very kind and sweet 60-something man. The first time I saw him with DS and he went to listen for the heartbeat, he noticed my tattoo and was like "is that....do you have a tattoo of a bottle of honey?" He was so confused, it was cute. But yes, I do, it's a "honey bear" because that's what I call DH. Heh!

    I get mine waxed and am on a waxing schedule leading up to EDD. It may not be perfect sine some bits are getting hard to reach but I'm hoping it will be acceptable.

    I've been shaving bare since I was about 17, then I got it all lasered off. I figure if I want some I could always purchase a merkin! ;)
