I had velamentous cord insertion with my second child. I was not diagnosed prior to delivery. It wasn't until I delivered placenta that we found out. My doctor said that it could have gone very bad had he ruptured my water In the wrong spot. I questioned why we werent aware if this prior to delivery My doctor said it would have been hard to detect this on ultrasound. I'm curious what is your doctor's plan? Are they scheduling c section or will they let your water rupture on its own?
We had a possible VIC with my 3rd. It ended up being just on the edge, not quite a full VIC if that makes sense at all. It was spotted on u/s and we were told to take things easy, I would be put in bed rest and probably be induced or have a c-sec a few weeks before her due date.
