Tuesday randoms!

Re: Tuesday randoms!

  • A little background on my random. We've been trying to get our little girl our of our bed since she turned 2. She would not sleep in her toddler bed. She turned 4 last week and we splurged on this bed. It's insane. Most I have ever spent on a bed. Husband puts it together yesterday.  She was SO excited. She climed up and down at least 10 times, playing, getting her blankets etc. She climbs down one last time to get her stuffed cat and falls the last 2 steps. She wasn't hurt but it scared the crap out of her and she refuses to get back up there. *SIGH* Spent last night in our bed
Oh no! I am so sorry! Kids can be sooo stubborn! I hope she likes it again soon!

  • My last OB appointment was the first one my husband couldn't come to, but the doc could feel the baby's head so he took my hand and showed me and it was really cool!  Well last night she was positioned so her head was pushing right up against my skin again so I showed DH where to touch and he was so excited it was cute.  Later that night I rolled over in my sleep, but he was still up watching tv and he started giving me this goofy smile so I asked him what he was smiling about, he told me,  "I love watching you roll over at night.  You have to like, swing your big ol' belly around to get on your other side."  Thanks babe haha.  He then sort of redeemed himself by telling me he loves my belly haha.

Also, I keep having dreams where I pee in the dream and I'm terrified that one day I'll wake up and it won't just be a dream!  Fortunately, that hasn't happened... yet.

And regarding the animals and roadkill, earlier this year my mom saw a baby turtle trying to cross a busy road so she pulled over and directed traffic around him.  She decided she was going to take him home and give him to me to add to my zoo of animals I currently have, so she got a towel and was laying it out in the back of her jeep, well as soon as she started doing that another car drove by, but over-swerved so he wasn't driving so close to my mom's pulled over car and managed to run right over mr. baby turtle =(  So she inadvertently killed him.  She felt so terrible.  I'm so glad I haven't hit anything with any of my cars.

  • Well, failed my 3 hour GTT majorly.  All 4 levels were high so I've earned myself the GD diagnosis.  I'm really excited to start stabbing myself in the finger 4 times a day beginning tomorrow.

  • Congrats, @LuckyPenny1231!   After a few days, it will be awesome!

Sent DH out to get lunch.  Sometimes it's beneficial always having him around...

I am realizing that baby boys movements have changed quite a bit...Im assuming its just because he has gotten bigger, but sometimes it freaks me out a little and makes me stressed. Please say I am not alone!?!?!?

On another note- DH and I start our baby classes tonight and I have my baby shower on Saturday. Im hoping these things will keep my mind off of silly worries that are filling my brain!
Baby's movements have definitely changed over here

I picked up the Huggies diaper couponer deal that is going on now via CVS. Paid $26 out of pocket and got 8 packs of diapers and a $10 rewards credit still to spend! $2 a jumbo pack, I'll take it!!

@Britt1406, I usually buy CVS brand diapers, which they often have on sale or with a 25% off coupon, but I couldn't pass up that Huggies deal either! And DS is so excited to have diapers with Mickey Mouse on them.
  • @bustysinclare Ugh. I'm sorry she fell, and I'm sorry she ended up in your bed again. Maybe tonight will be the night.

@vjdk07 I'm sorry about your GD diagnosis. :(

  • @vjdk07‌ - so sorry about your results. Do you have to test four times a day for the rest of your pregnancy? Or will it all depend on the results you get daily? I'm waiting for my son to wake up so I can vote, go shopping and maybe go to the park. It's beautiful out today! @MusicFanatic‌ - enjoy your visit outside! I hope it's nice for you. Do you have a nice view from your window inside at all?

I have just gone through my entire wardrobe. I have 2 garbage bags for donation. 1 garbage bag for my surrogate for after baby. And 1 garbage bag for my sister who is losing weight and needs transition clothing.

Feels good man. I can breathe again when I look at the closet.

I have seriously been debating on doing the same thing today, just couldn't find the motivation. But after seeing your post, I think I will :) thanks!
  • I bet the fresh air was amazing though!

  • DH likes to play music in the morning while he gets ready and the first song was Live is Life by Opus. It's been in my head ALL FREAKING DAY! It's a ridiculous song but it's catchy.

The way I understand it from the brief conversation I had today on the phone is I will be testing for the remainder of the pregnancy.  I have an appointment with my OB next week so he can look at my first week of monitoring and decide if I need to take oral medication.  If my numbers are ok, I may be able to check only twice daily instead of four times after a while.  I have a meeting with the diabetic counselor on Thursday this week also.  I will have monthly growth scans and beginning at 31 or 32 weeks, I will have twice weekly NSTs.  I have also heard from a friend that had GD (but I don't know this information to be 100% accurate yet) that they will not let me go beyond 39 weeks.

  • I had high blood pressure today too.  It was 158/98 the first time they took it, two points away from the 160/100 MFM wants me to notify them.  But pretty sure it was because I skipped my Labetalol this morning because I was having the glucose test (it makes me violently ill to take it without food in my stomach).  They had me lay down on my left side for awhile and took it again and it was 10 points lower so I got the A-OK.

I haven't worn mine since first trimester pregnant with DD :(

I finally broke and asked DH for a cute fake band that I wear so at least I feel married. I miss my rings too!

@MusicFanatic‌ when I was preg with Zig and didn't eat for 9mos, I planned an elaborate menu in great detail for about a month after she was born. My family was amazing and honored my crazy whims. I had Cantonese chow mein for breakfast the day she was born and brownies and ice cream for lunch. Dinner was an Arby's burger with curly fries. Once I got home from the hospital, either mom or hubby made every single thing on my "I'm starving" menu.
Omg Arby's sounds devine right now.
I think I TOTALLY need to do this. I already know my mom plans on cooking for us the week Zoe comes- and she's an amazing cook and I love everything she makes so I'm stoked about that.  HELLO sushi!!!  My H is a wonderful cook, too, so I know he'd make some of the things I miss. Mmmm food.

  • A)It's pouring outside and I love it!!!! I can't wait to go to bed and listen to it while I fall asleep!!!

B)I'm usually a tommy tuff nuts type of person, and it takes a lot to stop me. That being said, the pain in my pelvis when I stand up almost had me in tears several times today. I'm not sure how much longer I can keep up at work. I feel like this kid is going to fall out any day now.
