Snaps or Velcro?

I feel like snaps are a bit uncomfortable for the baby but washing velcro may be an issue (it could lose that stickiness). So what have been your experiences? Are these concerns valid?

    Velcro was nice for the first few weeks of newborn/new parent haze, but I do prefer snaps now. DH hated them at first but has since learned to figure them out. And snaps hold up much better in the wash.

    If you plan on sending LO to daycare,a lot of people pick hook& loop (aplix) for that to make it easier for DC providers.

    I much prefer the fit with snaps. I feel like my velcro dipes are always harder to get adjusted right. The velcro versions of my diapers did fit my skinny DD sooner than the snaps did though.

    I prefer the aplix for the fit when the kid is between snap sizes, but aside from that, if you plan on using them for more than one child or reselling them, I'd go with snaps. The snaps last longer. They don't run the risk of snagging other items or the child's skin. I never had a problem with my kids trying to undo their diaper (cloth or disposable), but it would be harder for them to get snaps undone than the aplix.

    My husband loves the velcro.  I like them for my LO's first diaper of the morning, usually put on in a dark room.

    I guess all that disappointment got in the way of learning how to undo diapers.

    Well thanks everyone for the advice! I will probably end up getting a mix and trying it out on a baby doll to see what I like better and to get some hands on experience!
