DH works for an airline, we fly pretty much for free. We have 5 days and don't care how long it takes to get there. We did Sydney once for 3 nights and would do it again (I know a lot of ppl can wrap their head around traveling 16 hours for such a short visit but that's how we roll )
We will bring DD who is almost 2. I still have just under 9 weeks to due date and everything is going fine so im not worried about traveling at all. My MIL, FIL and younger sister are going with us.
We were planning Sydney because it's fucking awesome and I want to take DD to the Taronga Zoo. Last night DH mentioned maybe going elsewhere. So now I'm trying to think of other places.
We've been to a ton of other countries but I'm curious where others would go and do. I didn't mention this initially bc I didn't want the thought in your heads of the long flight for a short trip...that kinda hangs ppl up

January 2014:BFP!!!! Ectopic pregnancy ruptured at 6wks1day. Left Fallopian tube removed. Noted during surgery the right Fallopian tube is severely damaged from 2004 ectopic pregnancy.
April 8 2014: IVF#1 w/ISCI: 10 received, 5 mature, 3 fertilized. Day 3 transfer of all three embies.
April 22, 2014: BFP! beta #1: 80 beta #2: 211 One nugget!
Honestly, anywhere? I would probably like to be home right now. Traveling just sounds kind of miserable. Maybe go to a major city close by and see a play/musical?

In loving memory of Baby HP42 and all D14 Angel Babies
Nowhere right now. I'm too fat and uncomfortable to enjoy a plane ride or sightseeing or anything besides sitting on my butt. :P
However...we are planning a Caribbean cruise next fall with my mom and my older DD. Yes, I am considering leaving the baby home with DH. Take away my good mom card now! hahaha But really, a 9-11 month old on a cruise sounds miserable. Then, my ILs want the whole fam damily to go to an all-inclusive resort somewhere next winter, which will be better because I'll have more help with both kids and it's easier just to bring some shade and sit on a beach with a 1-year-old, rather than fight the schedule on a cruise ship.
Jimmie, mama to Zoey (March 2011)
Losses 5/13, 8/13, and 3/14.
Expecting another GIRL! Carter Grace due on 12/25.
I can't imagine travelling (and enjoying it) at this point in my pregnancy... but if you're up for it I'd try not to fly far but go somewhere tropical like the Caribbean or Hawaii. Somewhere I could just relax on the beach and have people bring me cool non-alcoholic daiquiris or pina coladas.
December 2014 November Siggy Challenge: How I Feel in Third Tri
I'd go to New Zealand. I'd kayak, visit hot water beach, do the "Skywalk" on the Skytower, take in some Maori cultural performances, go to a rugby game, explore Auckland, explore Coromandel, and drink lots of wine!
ETA: because I just read you're planning to go in two weeks! Sooo, scratch the Skywalk, kayaking, drinking, and most if the exploring. I'd go to Niagra Falls instead.
If you mean literally right now, I wouldn't go anywhere. The grocery store is too taxing for me at the moment. I would never make it through an airport right now.
Otherwise, I would love to go chill at an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. Or take a bus tour through the Italian countryside. If we were talking more spring/summer, I would say Lucerne, Switzerland (amazing food, picturesque) or Cinque Terra, Italy.
I have always wanted to go to Bora Bora/French Polynesia but if I were going, I would go when I can drink all the tropical drinks.
We went on our babymoon to Aruba when I was 32-33 weeks last time and it was awesome. Flight wasn't too long and the weather was perfect. I drank a lot of virgin Miami Vices.
Taking a 2 year old on a 16+ hour flight sounds miserable, let alone doing it while 31 weeks pregnant.
If I were 31 wks, with a 2 yr old, in mid/late November, I would go someplace in South or Middle America - Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica, Peru... It's good weather there, not too long of a flight and not too much of a time change, and I've never been but I'm sure there is lots of cool stuff to see and do.
Great suggestions!!! Thanks Iceland would be awesome. We've talked about going before but haven't made it yet. This morning he mentioned Singapore. I'd love going back to Thailand or Taiwan.
Just FYI my pregnancy has been perfectly fine so there's no reason I can't travel on a long flight or far away. I still have 9ish weeks to go and they said last time "as long as you're ok with havjng a baby somewhere else" lol

I would go to France and eat all the food! Paris has always been my dream vacation but I wouldn't want to go while pregnant because I would want to be able to drink wine! Have fun wherever you guys decide to go!
I'm with the PPs who said they'd likely not go far at this point, but you seem really optimistic and up for anything, so...I'd second Australia, but more Queensland than Sydney area. I spent a semester in Brisbane, and there are so many fun things to do and see between there and Cairns!
Alaska (if it was in the summer) or Jamaica. I traveled through out Europe last fall and loved it and will go back but first I need to visit other places.
