I can't believe I'm starting the SPAM thread for once! DDs were up at 6 (7). It's funny how the time change works the opposite for people with kids.

Not much going on for us today. I think I wore myself out yesterday! Nice chilly morning--perfect for hot caramel cocoa...and Halloween candy.

I don't think that time change applies to pregnant ladies either-- oh sleep where art thou?

Had a small but fun shower yesterday and am really blessed by the outpouring of love that our little one received. I have some great friends and family.

It was also very fun to let my girlfriends (I am the first in the group to be pregnant) feel baby P kick. They were fascinated and got some good jabs!

Morning gals.

This is pretty much the weekend from hell so I will probably be MIA because I have absolutely nothing positive to say. Fight after fight with the H, tantrum after tantrum from the kid. It is just such a clusterfuck right now and I want to crawl into a hole.

@miniwheat10 Sorry about the toddler drama! Sounds exhausting just reading about it. Hope things get better for you both. Sounds like a lot of F15 mamas are potty training their kids right now. I'm dreading it somewhat with my twins...unless it works in my favor as I'm sure one DD will master it first and hopefully become a motivator for the other DD.

Hubby woke up early this morning and the first coat of paint is going up in the nursery!! 2nd coat will go up later today and hopefully he can get the trim and closet painted tomorrow night! So close to be able to get in there and put the nursery together.

DS was up at 5- why or why?! I let him watch cartoons on my phone till 6:00 so I could get some sleep.

Now we had breakfast and waiting for DH to get up. He worked till 2am so I decided to let him sleep.

Going to my parents for supper tonight because my sister is home for a week. Excited that I don't have to cook!

Good morning ladies!

@lizzybean you don't have to only be around when you are positive. We are here for the bad times too. I hope things get better soon!

Today we go from the highs of yesterday to the lows of today. Yesterday was the baby shower of a lifetime and an AMAZING Auburn game. Today, we bury DH's grandmother. It will be nice closure for all of the family and I think they are looking forward to it in a strange way.

My mom's birthday is next month and I know what we need to get her since she mentioned a ring she liked offhand four months ago but I need to figure out who all to involve in paying for it and how to get her ring size. It'll probably be me and my sister buying the ring from the whole family since one brother has attorney fees now and the other just got a job which I don't mind but how in the hell are we going to get the ring size without asking her? I don't even know which finger she would want it for.

Today I'm going to try and knock out some Christmas presents for the nieces and nephews so I won't have to when things get really busy (and I'm too tired). I'm actually looking forward to this!

Hmm, that's tricky! Maybe offer to get her rings cleaned for her and then you can find out the size? That's a thoughtful gift!

I'm headed to a 4 year old Twin birthday party today. They are so cute!! Also, we were going to take our house off the market tomorrow. We got a call that someone wants to come see it today, so I've been cleaning like a mad woman. Praying they love it and put in an offer so we can move and get settled before baby in a new townhouse.

Happy Sunday ladies!
Yesterday was my birthday and the Florida Gators pulled some bday magic for me and beat the Georgia Bulldogs and it was supremely exciting for me!! I brought one of my pugs to the vet for her annual checkup/shots (clean bill of health, YAY!) but when I got home, one of the receptionists called me and said, "this is going to be really weird and random but, another client was observing you in the lobby while you were checking out and she was so impressed with your dog's good looks, behavior and friendly demeanor that she wanted to know if she could find out where you got her, or from what breeder" I have long lost that information but was so tickled and proud that I cried. It was a small boost of confidence to my future parenting skills!

Lazy day today. Finishing laundry and probably re-washing loads I forgot about while DH enjoys football. My back aches from the wedding last night but DH held a 6 mo old for the first time and was surprisingly good at it even when she squirmed and wiggled. He's gonna be such a good dad it made me smile lots. Hope everyone has a good day.

@miniwheat10 I hope your toddler decides to cooperate today. I feel like everyone is having potty training/ toddler tantrums right now.

@jennjilljoite My dad and I did this for my mom a couple years ago. He snuck into the bathroom while she was showering with one of those paper ring measures. She had no idea and he thought it was great getting to play detective.

It's always so nice to hear that your pets are well behaved. It's like a warm fuzzy feeling.

It's like 50 degrees outside! I have the windows open so all the cold air can come in and make my house cold enough to justify turning on the fireplace

I am going to actually clean the house today. I need to vacuum, do laundry, and continue to pack. I've been super slacking on packing up this house. I am in total denial that DH's going to be deploying soon.

My shower is today and I am really excited but I feel terrible. I feel like I am trying to get sick, my back aches, leg hurts, I'm very crampy, my throat hurts, and my feet and legs are still covered in hives and ant bites and itch like hell. If it were any other day I would just lay in bed all day but it's not so I'm in the process of convincing my body to get up and jump in the shower, since I skipped church this morning.

@nbad311‌ that's a big vote of confidence! I bet you end up hearing something similar about how well behaved your kiddos will be. It still surprises me when I hear people say that about my girlies, but really, they are great kids, and I'm just happy that they make me look good! Hehehehehe.

I love days like today! Its chilly but sunny this morning and I have the house to myself (well, and the dogs). I got up to go get my free bacon egg and cheese mcgriddle from McDonald's (had a coupon from the monopoly game!) And now I'm not going to have any expectations of myself. If I get laundry done, then great, but its been a loonnnng week and I'm just glad is over and that I got an extra hour of sleep last night.

With it being November and the start of AW shower season. I'm so excited. I'm genuinely tickled about seeing lots of pics and doing my oohhhhh and aaaahhhh. I'm counting down to shower #1, 13 days to go. I have no idea what to expect with this one.

It's Steelers/Ravens day and I can't wait to see the game tonight. But I refuse to leave my house for any reason, including going to a watch party later. It's cold and the wind is brutal...it tried to kidnap me and the dog on our morning walk.

Well. Ella soiled 3 pairs of underwear already this morning. This is day 3. I give up. All of her underwear is in the dryer. And she couldn't care less. What a waste of time and energy. I am totally defeated and pretty much feeling like an awful mother. And of course H has a big work emergency so he has barricaded himself in his office. Gotta say, I've cried more in the past 2 days than I have this entire pregnancy. Pretty pathetic.

Hugs @lizzybean. We've tried potty training twice and Ronan just wasn't ready. I cried every time he peed on the floor because 1) I didn't get him to the potty and 2) I knew DH would make a huge deal of it. I've been too tired to even try again so you're braver and stronger than me. I'm sorry it's been such a rough week/weekend for you. I really hope it gets better. Kids are exhausting, husbands are exhausting and pregnancy is exhausting but no one ever thinks to give you a break. I hope that if nothing else you get some you time today.

I tried this when my DD1 was about 2. It was not good for us. After about the 3rd day, I gave up. For months. I just didn't even think about it. When she was 3, she decided one day to go get her step stool, climb up to the big potty and just went. By herself. I didn't even know until she ran into the room I was in and said, "I potty mommy!" And sure enough, step stool was at the toilet and she had gone in the toilet! It was zero work on my part at that point. I let her lead herself and it took no time at all. She did pull ups at night for awhile, but daytime potty training she taught herself because she was ready. With DD2, I did the same kid-lead thing and she learned even faster than DD1. But again, it was at age 3 (or nearly 3). I think 2 may be too young for them to truly grasp the cause and effect of potty training. But that's just my opinion.

Can I tell you how emotional I'm being right now. On Sundays, DH always does breakfast. Either he gets up and cooks, or we go out, or he brings something home. He is working a double so he won't be home til after 3. I am in tears because I can't get breakfast. DH was on the phone laughing because I could simply go to the kitchen and cook, but it's just not the same.

We are in the car driving back from our disney vacation. I'm ready to pick up my fur baby, zoey and head home. We should get to my parents house about lunch. So we can stop, eat, chill
For a bit before the last hour of the drive. I'm ready to be home. But the piles of laundry won't be nice. And the night before we left, our dryer died... So guess where DH gets to go tomorrow.

But positives -- he finished paint the baby room before we left. The pic is attached. We did our pic to tell everyone it's a girl while in Disney. And my parents want to order us the crib when we stop there so... Those are all

Good morning ladies!!!! It is so cold here in Houston, that I'm having a hard time getting out of a warm bed! (And I know cold here is warm in some of the places you guys live!)

Hubby has finally made his way through his list of to dos. Nursery is painted. Crib is put together. He is painting the dresser today! My shower is next Saturday at my house, so I have really wanted the nursery finished. I am doing my first furniture painting project too! We are using an old changing table as a drink stand at the shower. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Hope everyone has a great day! Enjoy left over Halloween candy! Don't go into an cemetaries! Not good for the baby, ya know!

We have had a crazy busy week so we all slept in a bit, kids included. Sleeping in for us is 7:30, though.

DH and I are getting the house and the yard ready for a potluck we are hosting this afternoon. I just left to go get a hair cut and eyebrow wax and there is a bit of a wait. To be honest, I am really enjoying the down time but I feel terrible about it because I am sure I will come home to an entirely clean house. DH is so much more efficient than me. He always manages to accomplish more than I ever could, when I'm gone. :-<

Oh @jennjilljoite THANKYOU. Reading this made me feel so much better. I was feeling really alone in all of this. And like just the worst mother for getting frustrated with Ella. She just still is not ready I suppose. We are definitely going to take a break. It is just not happening.

@Sammys120 thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. I really need them today. I really appreciate it.

@miniwheat10 good luck with your potty training!! I hope you are more successful than we were.

And @twinklymama I think you are right. I am just killing myself worrying about this. I really wanted to have her trained by the time Audrey was born but it is looking less and less likely and I am just going to have to deal with that.
