Plus size mamas

Hello it am 18 years old 5'5 and 225lbs and am not really showing yet. I'm a FTM and am 5 months. To me it just looks like 2 fat rolls and not a pregnant belly but when I wear regular clothes I look more pregnant than I actually am (due to my fat) and people keep rubbing up higher than where the baby is. Just wanna know when I should expect that round preggo belly and what I should do till then. Thanks guys

  • B belly also! I can make it look like a D belly if I wear the right maternity clothes. I do know that my upper roll is a lot harder than used to be. Maybe that is because everything is getting squished in there now. Anyhow embrace your curves because this is the one time in life we can flaunt our big, beautiful bellies!

  • No B belly here, but I would consider myself plus size- I agree with PP comment about feeling more comfortable pregnant. Probably because I don't have to worry about my gut hanging out because it's supposed to!

  • I don't know that I feel more "beautiful" now that I'm pregnant. But I feel more confident and empowered. I've spent so much of my life hearing people say mean things about me and assuming that I'm unhealthy or incapable just because I'm bigger. Well, my body is providing a wonderful home for my baby. My pregnancy is healthy, my son is growing perfectly, my blood pressure is fantastic... My body is doing what it was made to do, and that makes me feel great about myself.
  • I've been up to 240 (but was down to 196 before pregnancy) and still have never really had the B belly. Mine goes more like a guy (big round belly) so I end up looking pregnant year around (Even when I'm not). It's been frustrating, but definitely feeling comfortable at the moment actually having a reason to look that way!
