Baby clothes sizing...ugh!

Brooke is wearing newborn size right now...except for the one Halloween outfit I have is too big! But it is Carter's newborn...so is the outfit she is in now that is a perfect fit.

Stupid baby clothes. I wanted a cute Halloween picture but she was swimming in it! :-(

Carter's are the only brand that fit my long skinny boy right now. The rest of his newborn clothes are huge on him. And none of the diapers we've tried on him fit right. We have to fold the top down to get the leg holes small enough.

We are still in newborn size stuff at 5 weeks. I didn't buy any newborn stuff because I thought he would be bigger! Thankfully a coworker gave us a.bunch of newborn hand me downs and I finally broke down and bought more newborn pants the other day as lo is not growing super fast.

One day we will.get to where all the cute stuff.

Lennon is 5 weeks and still in NB clothes. I tried to put her in a 3 mos sleeper last night and it was too short. I seriously considered cutting the feet off. But then I realized it would be insane to ruin something she's never even worn when I have about 600 pregnant friends.

Aubrey is kind of a weird size right now.. newborn is way too short/snug, but 3 months is kind of long and baggy.. im struggling cause I want to buy christmas/christmas picture outfits and I dont know what size to get!!!

Theo wore NB stuff until he was 6+ months old. Sol is 3 weeks tomorrow and he already wears 3-6m sleeper. It's cray.

I agree. Baby clothes sizing is awful. DS wore NB size until he was 7-8 weeks old as he was s 6lb 12oz baby. DD was born at 7lb 11oz and can barely fit into any NB outfits. 0-3 fit her better as she's much longer than DS was, although she's skinny and swimming in them width wise. Huggies diapers don't fit her, her legs are too skinny. We've already had two major blowouts and ruined two outfits because of the diapers. They just happened to be NB outfits that fit her

We expected DD to be much bigger than she was. All ultrasounds said she was in the 80-90th percentile, and I had GD and a family history of big babies. Then she came out at a (relatively) small 7 lb 14 oz! My awesome mom had to go out and buy newborn clothes the day we came home from the hospital because she was literally swimming in everything, especially since she was only 19.5 in long. We did not have any newborn clothes at all. She's 3 weeks old now and gaining quickly, but is fitting in a range of sizes. Carters nb clothes are almost too small for her, but she is still fitting or too small for nb size in other brands. I'm learning that there is no consistency whatsoever among different brands.

I have one special snowflake onesie that says it's 3-6 months, but is the same size as Carter's newborn. Somebody was smoking something when it got labeled.

Each brand fits completely different. I'm frustrated because I saved all ds1 clothes and none of them fit ds2. Ds2 is too small for them. Ds1 was 9lbs 12 oz and ds2 was 9lbs 5 oz. You would think they would fit in the same clothes but noooooo.

My baby is a chunker. She's 4 weeks old today and hasn't fit into NB sizes in maybe two weeks. We are in all 0-3 months now, and even some of those are looking snug! Makes me feel good about all those exhausting MOTN feedings, though.

She was 9lbs10oz at her last appointment 6 days ago.

This thread makes me giggle. My LO was born 8 lb 4 oz 21 inches and wore 0-3 right away (maybe because he's long?). At 5 weeks we moved him up to 3-6 months clothing.
