I saw this on July and thought it was cute. This is not meant to be a "my-baby-is-more-advanced-than-any-baby-before-him" type thread, just a place to brag about the cute new things our LO's do and bring a smile to everyone.
S is starting to recognize songs. He loves "Old McDonald" and starts squealing when we sing eh-eye-eh-eye-owe. His face lights up as soon as we start singing the song.
My LO started rolling over last week at 9 weeks. She has been sleeping through the night with a consistent 6:30 bedtime. And has been so incredibly happy all week. Her fav songright now is "im so fancy" I may be causing permanent damage lol
DS is now grabbing his feet at 9 weeks! We introduced him to them during playtime and now he can't et enough of them. He also smiles like crazy during clothes changes. I have never seen a baby so excited to get dressed/undressed. Now if only we can get him to not scream bloody murder during tummy time...
DS is a very vocal social baby... He smiles at everyone and babbles to us or just to himself all the time! Whenever I hold him up and kiss his cheek he moves his mouth to mine open wide to try to give me a kiss. It is so adorable.
I swear if it was possible to die of happiness I would be a goner. My face literally hurts from smiling so much some days. DS is "talking" quiet frequently now and smiling in reaction to us talking to him or playing with him. He rolled over a couple of times for the first time last week and I could have thrown a party I was so excited and amazed to see him achieving such a milestone
LO is grasping rattle like toys and shaking them. It's more like a surprise to him still that he is doing it so it's fun to watch his face.
He is also sticking his lower lip out to pout when he doesn't get picked up right away. So funny... Daycare will be good for us both. I'm spoiling him.
I sing to DS every night...usually the same few songs (Billy Joel's Lullaby, Tony Lucca's Always, John Lennon's Beautiful Boy, our wedding song - Waited All My Life by Raul Midon and Baby Mine from Dumbo) and this week, DS started singing along with me! He'll stop drinking his bottle, smile a huge smile, and try to sing along. It made me cry happy tears. Now, if I could just get through Always without crying every time, we'd be good...that one is perfectly my feelings about him right now and having to send him to daycare and be away from me.
I was nursing MOTN and so tired waiting for him to finish so I could put him back in his bassinet and go back to sleep when he just smiles and starts cracking up and snorting a bit at the same time. Then just continues to eat, I wanted to laugh out loud so bad but didn't want to wake him up, so cute!
Well it's not really cute, but I just tried putting her to bed in the crib for the first time. She woke up a little later and actually put herself back to sleep!! This is the best Saturday night I could ask for

Jealous! Mine keeps waking up and is STILL not in his crib for the night at 12.30
I get so happy every time I look at LO, thinking how much she's grown already and how I love watching her personality emerge and develop. I then feel sad that time seems to be flying by!
DS is a TALKER. We'll hold whole conversations, ranging from him looking so happy and excited to very serious and like he's trying to tell me something really important.
He also is such an easy baby. We can talk him pretty much anywhere and he doesn't fuss, whether a restaurant or a family gathering. At a rather loud birthday party last night, he was wide-eyed and handsome taking it all in, and then when time came for a nap, slept in the corner despite the music and crowds.
ETA: He STTN in his crib now and self-soothes like a champion with his thumb!
I got my first laugh today! I was playing with DD's feet, which always makes her smile big... but then she giggled! I melted and started crying. Omg, I want to bottle up that sound.
I know it's Sunday, so I'm cheating, but this Florida baby is going to Atlanta for the week and I'm dying over how adorable she looks in her cold weather clothes.
I'm being featured in a new pregnancy/motherhood blog during the month of October, so if you ever wanted to know more about my pregnancy, birth, and motherhood experiences than anyone ever should, check out my posts in the link below!
Getting more and more smiles and giggles out of her lately! And, I just LOVE it when I approach her and her little legs start kicking wildly. So sweet.

He is also getting ticklish on his belly and is getting so close to a giggle
