My highlight was walking hand-in-hand with my little man, on the street on which I grew up. Also, he fell asleep after a while in his stroller, with his head slumped forard on the snack tray. Hilarious.

Such great memories! I can't wait to tell ds all about the silly and sweet things he does now once he's older. I try to keep his baby book up to date and write in extra note because I always used to ask my parents what i was like.
Brooklyn got scared at the first house we went to because they had these giant inflatable black cats on the roof. FI was carrying her, and they didn't even make it to the front door. But we walked her up to a few more houses, and she realized that people were giving her stuff. She was super excited after that and wouldn't let anyone else take her candy bucket to carry for her.
DD singing "Rainbow Connecfion" while trick-or-treating in a Kermit costume. It was freaking adorable. DH got video, once that makes it to the internet I'll try to remember to post a link. :-)
The free wine that I was offered multiple times as adult treats
We went ToTing in a fancy country club neighborhood - our friends moved there last year and invited us over. I had no idea that giving adult beverages existed in ToT world.
We had a way better Halloween than I was anticipating. Both kids were willing to wear their costumes and looked really cute. They were super excited about people putting candy in their pumpkin buckets. It's also tradition here for trick-or-treaters to tell a joke, and both DD and DS managed to get the hang of a basic knock knock joke and tell it with some prompting. They also said "trick-or-treat" and "thank you" at each house. I was so proud of them.
When we got home they oversaw the process of handing out candy and then every time a group of trick or treaters would leave DD would yell "shut the door" and DS would close it.
They carried their pumpkin buckets around the house all night, taking all the candy out and putting each piece back in. The funniest part is that they have no idea what candy is. I think they think they just got a bunch of new toys to play with. LOL

When a man came to my door with his kid. I was holding DD and he asked me "hey, didn't you have a baby last year?" Sigh. Yes. Yes we did. We're going for broke. Can't believe he remembered!
