  • I sent DS's costume with him to DC for their parade.  Now I'm scared it will get ruined and I feel bad for his teachers.  :(

  • @chiboo9 I'm not sure how I feel about it. I think it's strange and I'm not sure if it's legit or not. It's not like we know her so... there's that.
  • I have no clue what /ded means. I always forgot to ask.

I kinda feel bad for the cosmetology bumpie going through hardships. She's gotta be fairly desperate to ask strangers from the interwebz for money. Desperate times call for desperate measures, right? Or maybe I've just become a softie.
I'm with you. No need for people to be cruel, straight up or passive aggressively.
If you give a mouse a cookie...
  • @somerandomchick‌ I Jealous That You pooped. I have prunes coming in my groceries today....shudder (but hope they help)
I bought prune juice after having Ros, to help me with the first PP poop... 5 out of 6 of the little cans are still in my fridge. It's like the gross part of prunes distilled.

Prunes aren't that bad to eat but somehow prune juice is just vile.

ETA: I also still have the stool softener from PP (day we came home from the hospital, DH went off to the pharmacy for stool softener, percocet, and sleep masks!). It does help.

Supposedly also a tsp of olive oil on an empty stomach in the morning... helps line the intestines.
    :-??
@somerandomchick - if you can stomach whole prunes, just have one a day :) I still make prune puree for Lilly and it's not too bad if you want to try it.

I put 1 cup of prunes in 2.5 cups of water and bring it to a boil, then boil it for 10 minutes. Then I put it all in the blender and puree. It's fine to eat straight or mix with other fruit, applesauce or oatmeal. It's definitely better than the weird packaged juice that separates, imo. :D

    Happy Pooping!!!

  • Idk. I realllly don't want the gherkin to have candy. Like, at all. I feel like if you chose a daycare because they have snacks that you are happy with, then they give your kid chips when you don't want her to have chips, you can be upset. It's her daycare, and is necessary for the mom to be able to work. It's not like she is choosing to send her kid to a party - it's like a mandatory party. Switching daycare may be extreme, though, but I can see why a parent might be upset. I would be upset if DD were at daycare, because she had to be because I had to work, and she was given candy.

  • Ty's eating m&ms right now.
  • I don't think she will remember that I'm prohibiting her from having candy. I don't mean forever, I just mean as a toddler. She is stubborn with food so when she will eat, I want what she eats to be good for her. Also, she has chewing problems and allergies. So.. I really don't want her having candy.

When she is older, I don't plan on offering her candy at home ever. She will get it other places and that's fine with me. I won't be like "NO! FORBIDDEN!" I think I can strike a balance. I hope.
  • Don't most day cares serve juice daily? To meet the criteria for $$ for food

Mine does fruit instead of juice, but I think juice does count towards a serving of fruit/veg for reimbursement purposes.
