Rants and raves or symptoms?: Last night while in bed, I got this strange cramping/tugging sensation in my lower abdomen. I experience a very similar feeling when I had gotten pregnant this summer. I'm trying to not get too excited.

The smell of dried leaves and raking them! When I was a kid, my sisters and I would rake the leaves into an outline of a house (like a blue print), including leaf pile beds. We played outside for hours.

Rants and raves or symptoms?: I know it's dumb to ppronounce myself out this cycle, but when I was KU with DS, I just knew. I don't have a good feeling about this cycle despite our best effort at sex Olympics. There's really no reason to be down in the mouth about it, so I'm working on being more positive.

I love the smell of turkey and homemade stuffing cooking in the oven. Growing up, my dad used to make a lot of roasts in the fall/winter and he would listen to NPR in the kitchen. The smell of turkey and the opening of All Things Considered make feel sentimental.
Fx for you @Jags8! I remember having that sensation as well with DS.

Rants and raves or symptoms?: I had a spinal fusion surgery when I was a kid. I have pain that comes and goes as a result of it and it's getting worse as I get older. Today I'm in agony. I got zero sleep because every position was painful. I'm surprised my temp was as nice as it was. On top of that yesterday I had some super dull period like cramps in my lower abdomen and today they seem to be a bit stronger. It's making me hopeful. I never get cramps prior to AF. Even then I don't get them until day two.
GTKY: what fall traditions, smells or activities make you feel nostalgic or sentimental and why. For Halloween DH and I always go to the local Apple farm and pick apples and get pumpkins to carve. Then on trick or treat night we sit outside with some cocoa and hand out candy to the kiddos. Oh and we dress the dog up every year. So happy Halloween from Eeyore. (I don't know why the picture is sideways).

Every year our family and extended family goes to a state park near us and we rent cabins and stay for the weekend. We do our annual Halloween party there and i get sad evert year when I see how big all the kids are getting. I see them throughout the year, but this trip always makes me realize how fast time goes.

I love the smell and sounds of being outside in the fall. The leaves crinkling under my feet, the cooler mornings where the sun on my face feels that much warmer, and the smell of fall (I can't really describe it) I am a huge fan of fall, and love going for walks back in our fields.

GTKY: what fall traditions, smells or activities make you feel nostalgic or sentimental and why-we always take my nieces to the apple orchard and it's a fun tradition my family's been doing for years and years. I love the smell of hot apple cider on the stove and drinking it with a little bit of caramel in it!
@katerbug0607 -I used to use a target brand thermometer but it was notorious for favoring time so I switched to a Mabis.

I'm really hoping this is my month otherwise I don't know what on earth is wrong with me! I'm hot, grumpy, tired, bloated and constipated and have been for days with boats of nausea and heartburn for good measure! DH has had just about enough and af isn't due until Wednesday!

I'm crazy hungry, but that's probably just because I haven't been taking good care of myself and eating enough since my grandfather went into the hospital on Tuesday (another stroke...)

The smell of turkey, ham, and green bean casserole baking at my parents' house on Thanksgiving morning. Makes me feel like I'm a little kid again, and I love going in and helping her, learning the recipes, all that. This year will be our first holiday in our new house and DH and I are hosting Thanksgiving, so my mom will be cooking everything at our place. Also, anything pumpkin-scented from Bath & Body Works. I worked there for a couple of years, and the fall and Christmas scents are my all-time favorites.

GTKY: what fall traditions, smells or activities make you feel nostalgic or sentimental and why. I love in So Cal and while we do not have a hardcore winter, I love the smell when it gets cold out at night. It reminds me of Christmas and instantly makes me happy.

Rants and raves or symptoms?: After being sure I was out.. I moved my data from Ovia app to FF and got dotted crosshairs for CD32. My temp dipped at 6dpo and came back up.. It dipped again today but I think it's because I was an hour early of my regular temping time (I had to go pee & couldn't wait another hour lol) not to mention I slept terribly.. So I won't count myself yet. Plenty of symptoms but I know better than pegging anything on symptoms alone.

I have apple cider candles everywhere.. Pumpkin doesn't impress me but the apple cider smell is amazing!!

@MoonandBack141 I don't think 10-12 days is considered a short LP. If I remember correctly, the underlying cause behind a short LP is that the follicle doesn't produce enough progesterone or the lining doesn't respond to the progesterone to thicken enough for an egg to implant. As a result, the lining sheds sooner - so a secondary issue is that the egg doesn't have time to implant, but that isn't the real problem. If your LP is in the normal range, your lining should be fine, so I don't think it would matter if it implanted on day 6 or day 10. Regardless of when you implant, you start making HcG right away, which signals your body to keep your progesterone levels high (even though the concentration isn't detectable in your urine for a couple days), which prevents your period. Does that make sense?
Short version: If it was in fact an implantation dip, I don't think it is a problem since you don't have a short LP.

Rants and raves or symptoms?: FF changed my CH and I’m super annoyed. I think at this point I’ve definitely ovulated but I don’t know when – I have a bad temp on CD 14 that I’m 100% sure is wrong because I only had 2 hours of sleep, and a random middle of the night temp on CD 16 that might be wacky but I’m not sure. So it was sometime between CD13 and 16. I hate not knowing. f I have to have a bad temp, why does it have to be right in the middle of my fertile window? Gah. I guess it doesn’t matter because timing was good regardless.

We always watched Sunday games growing up, and DH and I spent our first two years as a married couple at Michigan (Go Blue!), so we have a lot of great football Saturday memories, too.
@jags8 We built houses with leaves, too! It was so much fun, I’d completely forgotten about it until you brought it up.

Rants and raves or symptoms?: Surprised I ovulated on CD 15, but it's been earlier each month since I've started temping so I'm glad we didn't wait to start EOD until FF's "Fertile week" prediction. I feel like my body is finally figuring itself out, 6 months after getting off birth control. I'm relieved because I know for some, that doesn't happen so quickly, if at all.
GTKY: what fall traditions, smells or activities make you feel nostalgic or sentimental and why. I love fall scents...apple, cinnamon, pumpkin and smells always make me feel nostalgic. Trees turning colors and falling leaves always makes me think of being a kid and going to high school football games. Though fall is a short season where I live, I love it!

My birthday is in November... Around thanksgiving... sometimes on thanksgiving. So I love that my family has a huge get together with turkey and chocolate pie for my birthday (aka thanksgiving)! I might be a little self absorbed.

this is looking like my shortest cycle ever in my history. I looked back at past charts and have never ovulated before cd19 and according to FF I ovulated on cd8. I thought FF could be drunk and gave me crosshairs due to higher temps butttt I'm not sick, haven't had drinks since Saturday, and had ewcm and positive opks sooo theres that. Timing was good but I'm (trying) not to think about the what-ifs. Every other pregnancy was a take home and dh magically thinks that this is my pattern and this will be our rainbow. I informed him that he's holding stock in something that we have zero control of and was purely coincidental. I felt he was being insensitive but I also think he was trying to keep me positive. We dont talk about my losses and honestly I as much as I wanted to get my cycle back, I'm fucking scared. I know cart/ horse but if and when I turn a test idk how I will handle another loss. Dh took it hard this past time and shut down on the edd completely. My heart hurts for him.

Peppermint-vanilla candles. They remind me of my kids at Christmas. Christmas eve we stay in instead of going to visit the inlaws (we do a big Xmas day gtg so its nbd), hang special ornaments (i made special ones for our angel babies), open up a few gifts, and watch a movie as a family. I have always had that candle going so whenever I smell it i get happy and may cry a bit.

Rants and raves or symptoms?: So. Freaking. Hot!!! And not sexy hot, like burning up, hot flashes, t-shirt flapping hot. Also, NTTGPR (again... I seem to be on a roll this week), I had blood drawn this morning for my new job and they took three tries to get enough to fill the titers. I have a vasovagal response that makes me pass out with needles sticks so I had to lie down and clench my ankles together to avoid it. The medical assistant was mad at me for having tiny, rolling veins (a complaint I've never heard anyone make about me before). Wish I could have done it myself.

The MNF theme song makes me think of watching football all day Thanksgiving with my dad. I also love Charlie Brown's "It's the Great Pumpkin" special, and the Macy's parade, which were my mom's favorites growing up.

Testing plans: I've gotten a little bit better about testing later each month, last month was 11 DPO (and um, every day after that until AF). I'm going for 12 this month (62% accuracy vs. 51% on 11 DPO - I can do this!!!). However, I'm an easily excited, impatient SOB and if my temps are looking decent I'll probably cave. Arg. At least I have Wondfos now thanks to you guys and your good advice so my crazy train isn't costing us an arm and leg every month going forward.
Rants and raves or symptoms?: I'm laid up this weekend recovering from some minor surgery to remove a non-fatal type of skin cancer from my nose, basal cell carcinoma. I talked with my RE about it beforehand because there was local anesthetic involved during, and hydrocodone pain killers now (which I believe is generic for vicodin), and he was not worried about that interfering with TTC. No wine for me though, and that is bumming. me. out.

Going to a small cider mill nearby that we went to when I was growing up, getting cider and fresh warm donuts (YUM) and feeding a little to the ducks. We are having a gorgeous, gradual fall in Michigan.

my chart is crazy. i think my thermometer is broken because its been giving me crazy temps that don't coincide with my CF. Plus my cylce is going to be crazy short too. Anyone care to look at my not pretty chart and tell me what you think? Oh and I don't know why there are open circles...i take my temp at the same time every day with the exception of one weekend day early one that I took it late.

I feel nostalgic when I hear country music while driving down the road with my windows down. It throws me back to high school and just gives me a good feeling overall.
