.... Only my ILs coming over tomorrow. I was ok with it when I was on the phone with DH. Now I hate the idea. We have to feed them and my mil wants to hand out candy when we aren't even honing to be home.
ILs sent a box of candy for the gherkin for Halloween. I'm very anti candy for DD, plus DH is on a diet doing well and I know he'd want to eat it. Is it okay for me to just empty it into the food donation box in the lobby? Or is that not the type of food that should go in there?
I had an exhausting day so we are watching Sesame Street. DD loves Elmo. I need to cook dinner. I wish my DH did not get home so late because I would tell him to grab takeout. He is usually not home until after 7 and that is too late for the kids to eat.
Thinking of quitting job #2. I've been there for 8 years. This is the soul sucking he'll hole. I've thought about quitting many times but I never go through with it.
DH told me to do it if I want. I've had a hard time since it is a little extra money but since I've went back I've been unhappy and MIL has been throwing a fit about watching Zoe so much....well you know the story.
I feel like I'd be happier and we could survive without the little extra. Things would be a little tighter but not terribly bad. And if I really needed I could try to find a different part time job down the line.
I do this all the time. Talk myself into quitting it then ever going through with it. But it's gotten so bad there since they forced the best manager I've ever had to transfer. She kept our store afloat and she recently quit because they moved her again and I'm sure she got sick of the company too.
I could complain so many ways about this place.
Tl; dr: Trying to decide if I should finally quit my hell hole job and being whiney.

Im terrified of open casket wakes. I think it's because when I was little growing up in the Philippines, my grandmother would use to make us go up and touch the person's face. It was the 'typical' way to show respect. I'm really scarred by it. I've been to 2 open casket wakes as an adult and I stood so far back and didn't even look anywhere near the casket.
I have created another Frozen monster. Our TV died so I have just been using my computer for some background noise. I got tired of the one MMCH that Netflix has so I tried Frozen. It's one of the few movies I have on there. She will now stand by it and say "go go". If I turn anything else on she cries. She will sing "go" during Let it Go and it's adorable.

Made you touch them?! I know every culture is different but I would've been scared too. Having to see an open casket is one thing but touching is a different story.

Noooo I really don't like that type of candy (the type made of just sugar). I can do a chocolate bar or something, but not like a bag of gummies or candy corn. I'm not big on candy in general. I took it to the lobby as soon as Casey assured me it was fine. I do like the occasional Skittle, though.

Leah just fell asleep (I think). 12 consecutive hours is the longest she's been awake since the day she was born (it was 14 that day). b-(
All the wine for me. Apothic Dark is surprisingly good.
She was awake 14 hours straight the day she was born?? @-)

Big hugs @casey78! I hope they figure things out for grandpa soon! @ramy3 I will be thinking of you in the morning! Good luck!
So my boss told me today she is "trying" to be understanding with all of Alex's ear infections. I have had to leave twice to pick him up at daycare and once to take him to the dr. I hand in a sick day form each time (all those 30 mins add up to a full sick day eventually). I know I have only been there 6 weeks but she knew I had a one year old when she hired me. It makes me nervous of my job security.
Hope you feel better @lancomechica I'm jealous @econmama I hope Alex starts feeling better @fabk. It is hard to navigate working. You want to be with your sick kid, but at the same time, your boss has to have the same expectations for you as he/she does for a nonparent employee. Navigating sickness was by far the hardest part of my first year as a working parent.
Ben has been TOT three times already with another two tomorrow. He's going to be a pro! Here's my little penguin.
That's crazy @casey78! I would have been scared to take her home!

FKA mimi4347: diaper rash magician and unofficial expert on excrement
This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Tonight Lucas discovered the spice cabinet. He had a blast pulling out all the little jars and making towers, and I was super proud of his fine motor skills. It was a ton of fun.
Until he somehow got the lid off of one of the jars. And it just happened to be the cayenne. And he dumped it everywhere.
We sprang into action; I ripped off his shoes and pants and DH took him to immediately wash his hands and legs. Somehow he didn't get any in his eyes/nose/mouth, and was never any the wiser.

Oh, and I just finished his Halloween costume! Tomorrow I will post a picture; only time will tell if it will be a picture of Lucas *in* his costume, or Lucas *with* his costume. Our trial run awhile back did not go well....

Sorry I've been gone all day! Thinking of you @casey78 - sorry about grandpa.
And good luck today @ramy4 and happy birthday to your big guy.
Alden is finally feeling better - that is great. It's the first day since Sunday he hasn't had a fever. I spent all day with him hanging out today, which made me feel better since I had to rely on a babysitter earlier in the week.
I was soo proud of myself for finishing the boys' costumes earlier than the wee hours of 10/31 this year. But I can't find Alden's. I have no idea where it is. So I need to make his costume again (it was super easy - just some presto-felt on a onesie) before I go to bed. Oh, and some "improvements" to S's. Gotta go!
I think we'll be buying a car tomorrow! @-) A Mazda6! So big compared to our Mazda2!
We need a bigger car before the new baby comes for sure so we might as well just do it now, basically. Plus, we have to drive 6-7 hours each way for Thanksgiving and it'll be sooo nice to do that with a bit of legroom! We're getting a roomier car so DH will be able to stand having a RF carseat behind him... in our current car his knees would be on the dash with Ros behind him, I'm only a few inches shorter so it's not quite that bad for me but not really comfortable for long rides. So... excited to have some leg room! And a rear camera n shit. Fancy.
I have a Mazda3. Our baby trend infant seat forced the passanger seat up quite a bit...I didnt even want to try and put the big convertible in there. We kept it for a back up and when its only 1 adult with the kids. I love my Mazda
Re: If you're SPAMmy and you know it, clap your hands

Wine. Chocolate.
