The other day I posted that I was having some bleeding, but my dr. wasn't concerned because it was light pink/brown, minor, and with no pain. I went in for my regularly scheduled appt and she showed zero concern, even when she didn't hear a heartbeat. She said since it was brown blood, and so minimal, with no pain that it was unlikely it would be anything… so DH and I were incredibly optimistic. But as soon as she did the us I could see that the baby was no bigger than our 9/10 week scan and wasn't moving. She then said she couldn't find a heartbeat and told us the baby had stopped growing at 10 weeks and I had to go through a million tests before they decided I needed a D&C… which I had today. We are completely heartbroken. I spent all of yesterday crying but today I just feel numb.
It's hardest to think that for nearly 4 weeks I was telling people our exciting news and yet there really wasn't anything there. The baby was already gone. And I was experiencing all these "symptoms", and yet I wasn't even really pregnant anymore.
So just here to say goodbye and good luck, and I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I hope you all have beautiful, healthy babies in May of 2015!!!
