heartburn and hair

When I was pregnant with my first, I had awful heartburn. My mom told me it meant baby would have lots of hair. Sure enough, he did. Same with the next one (to the point my doctor gave me a prescription to help calm it). I am 18 weeks pregnant with my third, (my youngest is 6... Been a while) and already heartburn is giving grief again. Anybody else find their babies had full heads of hair after lots of heartburn? It'll be interesting to see of this little one has lots of hair like big brother and big sister had.

Looking forward to 11/12 for the a/s... To know if they are having a little sister or brother :-D

^^^ WSS. It's just another pregnancy symptom. I had horrible heartburn with DS and he just a few little strands of hair when he was born.

My daughter was born with a full head of black hair. I never had a second of heartburn during my pregnancy with her.

My heartburn was so bad when I was pregnant with my son that I was literally choking on stomach acid every night, and he barely had any hair until he was about a year old.

Although, I thought there was a study done once that actually linked heartburn during pregnancy and hair, but I don't know how credible it is.

I had AWFUL heartburn last pregnancy, E was bald for practically a year. Old wives' tale, it means nothing.

A co-worker and I were discussing this yesterday! She had terrible heartburn and her son was super hairy. It's quite amusing to hear her explain all the hair her son was born with.

I'm not convinced heartburn leads to tons of hair. I'm thinking it's more of a coincidence.

I've missed the heartburn boat... so far... *knocks on wood*

I was a baldy until one year old, and I gave my mom awful HB. Of course, that probably had more to do with the fact that I was a huge baby and crowding the heck outta her stomach.

I had horrible heartburn last time and dd was born with alot of hair. It probably has more to do with baby's position and size. I can definitely sympathize with the discomfort though!

I had really bad heartburn with #1 and she came out pretty bald. This time I don't have any heartburn (knock on wood!!!) so I'll be interested to see if this one comes out with any hair.

This has been true for everyone in my family! My new nephew was born with so much hair he needs a haircut already and my sil had tons of heartburn. I am getting heartburn too so we will see if it holds true for me too.
