Just wanted to update- I had my U/S today and measured 8 weeks 3 days with a nice strong HB of 178 BPM. Im on cloud 9!!!!

Woops, just saw this.

1. How far along are you? I am 8w2d

2. When is your next appointment? I'll have a second appointment (my first was yesterday) on the 18th. It'll be around the time of my loss and my OB will do an additional ultrasound as a "peace of mind" appointment. She's great.

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Surprisingly better after seeing baby yesterday. I didn't think it would have that much of an effect on me, but it did. I'm still heavily concerned as always...but that's okay.

4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? We'll be telling DH's family this weekend at DD's birthday dinner. They are far from my favorite people, but I'm looking forward to opening up a little.

5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? It is supposed to snow here DD isn't quite 2 yet, so I think we will just dress her up and take some pictures (Minnie Mouse!). No dressing up for me.

2. When is your next appointment? Friday, another ultrasound

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Not great. I was doing well after my appointment last Friday, but I've been having some light spotting & I'm pretty convinced that it means awful things.

4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Having a heartbeat last Friday.

5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Halloween is contingent on Friday's appointment going well. If it does, we'll be passing out candy. I don't have costume plans. If it doesn't go well, we'll be going out. There are a lot of young children/infants in out neighborhood & I don't think I can deal with them if we get bad news.

Did you have your appointment? How did it go?

I'll AW over here, too :P I had a very reassuring first appointment with one (1) little embryo showing his/her sweet little heartbeat of 176bpm. I actually interrupted the OB's recording of the heartbeat with my relieved laughing.

I'm 6 weeks + 1 day pregnant.

My next appointment and first u/s is Nov 11th.

My PGAL brain is good today. The constant nausea is keeping me in good spirits. I'm just doing my best to remain positive.

My current pregnancy joy is that I'm experiencing all the symptoms, and they just got stronger two days ago so that keeps me in a positive mind set.

We are dressing up as gangsters and our LO is dressing up as a race car driver. The mix of costumes don't make much sense together, but I didn't like any of the other choices in the costume store. We are meeting up with other friends to go trick or treating. No big parties for us.

1) 7 weeks 3 days
2) Around 10 weeks in November
3) I've been back and forth. I have milder symptoms than with both of my girls so dine days I think it's because I've lost the baby and other days I think it's a different gender this time. I still have symptoms, they're just really mild comparatively.
4) Seeing the heartbeat on ultrasound was the best so far and just moving through the weeks without bleeding or cramping.
5) I won't be dressing up but we'll be taking our girls out in their super original Anna and Elsa costumes ;-)

2. When is your next appointment? I went today, so next appointment is November 12th.

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Okay, for the most part. I am super paranoid most of the time that I am doing something to hurt this baby.

4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? That the baby was measuring on time today after measuring 6 days behind my last appointment. And that I'm pregnant at all. I am really trying to enjoy that.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Neighborhood festival. Not dressing up!

Okay, I've been feeling a little bit better in the last week.

4. What's your current Pregnancy joy?
Had my second US yesterday and saw my little baby with paddles waving and heart beating strong! Since yesterday I have felt that this is real! I broke down crying at the Doc's office because it all sort of hit me. This one is going to stick and I have to start accepting that and do my best to take care of it. Not that I have done anything I shouldn't aside from eating tons of Halloween candy, but basically yesterday this shit got real!
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up?

My favorite thing to do on Halloween is hand out candy to the kids. I plan to do just that. I have a ton of great candy and I'm going to man the porch and pass it out. Other than that I don't plan to dress up or anything. My mil is having a party on Saturday so we might go to that, but it is all pretty low key for us.

2. When is you next appointment? We had a dating ultrasound this morning. Our next appointment is next Thursday

3 how is PGAL brain treating you? I am finding it really hard to get excited about this pregnancy because I'm just waiting for something bad to happen. I know this is going to sound completely irrational but I really wish we were having twins again.

4. Current pregnancy joy? Being able to see the heartbeat this morning! And feeling like complete garbage because it reminds me that I'm pregnant

5. What are your Halloween plans and will you be dressing up? We aren't dressing up I don't think we are doing anything lol I'm not a huge fan of Halloween

@NoeliaV Yeah, I thought about doing a clicky poll on the main board, but then thought that non-PGALers would vote. But I guess I could do a big warning at the beginning of the post.

@paintdadanta - go for it! Also, on your firefly one, is there a way to switch the colors of the lights in the background and the text from orange to something else (maybe even incorporating rainbow colors)? The picture is lovely, but the black and orange combo makes me think of Halloween.

@BookishMomma, I'll see what I can do bout the colors. I completely see the Halloween-ness of it now. I also wanted to add that I think Survey Monkey or outside poll would be better since others will likely vote regardless of warnings. I may be able to put it on our PGAL blog.

One of the shows I watch featured hot air balloons and I just got totally swept up by the rainbow colors and scenery. Just the whole idea of "taking flight" just kind of fit for me.

I hope it is ok if I join in as well. I have had two miscarriages this year.

2. When is your next appointment? November 13

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Horrible! During our first US last Thursday the doc discovered a cyst on each ovary and the last two days I have had some pretty intense cramps on my left side. I keep trying to tell myself that it's just the cyst but my brain always goes to the worst case scenario.

4. What's your current Pregnancy joy?
Today I am pregnant. I have had the worst nausea and my boobs are extremely sore which makes me very happy. Also, having seen the little flickering heartbeat last week.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Taking my two older children trick or treating. I have an Elsa and an Army sniper. Lol

I would like to join here as well! I'm a nervous wreck this time around and it'd be great to have some ladies that are going through the same thing. I've had two losses in a row, 8wks (molar pregnancy) and 11.5wks (triploidy defect).

1. How far along are you? I'm supposed to be 6wks on the dot today, ultrasound this last Wednesday had me measuring 6 days behind. We saw a yolk sac, so that's the only positive of it that I have to hold onto.

2. When is your next appointment? November 4th for follow up ultrasound and seeing OB again as well

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Like I said, I'm a nervous wreck! My first pregnancy with DD, it was such an awesome experience and not a worry in the world....now I know better! I'm praying we see a heartbeat on Tuesday.

4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Honestly, I don't know if there's a joy - just being pregnant I suppose. I'm trying very hard to be positive, but it's hard. I have very minimal symptoms, some cramping here and there, and sore nipples - that's really it. I sadly would welcome ms with open arms right now!

5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Won't be dressing up, will be taking DD (3 in December) trick or treating for a little while this afternoon.
