I shamefully haven't bought any new makeup since before G was born. Help me with your suggestions by naming your favorites! I appreciate your input, whether it's high-end or drugstore. Thank youu
Anything! I feel like I need a serious update. I use a tinted moisturizer now by Covergirl, Lancôme Mascara, Maybelline eyeliner, and Clinique powder. I've used all of the forever now.
I like sephora brand for foundation and lip color, bare minerals for blush, cover girl for mascara, and Ben Nye for eye liner. I don't spend a lot on makeup, but those are my affordable preferences
...I apparently lost all of my makeup three months ago. Since I wear makeup approximately never, this has not been a hardship.
I may go buy some tomorrow though, since we're doing a photo-shoot on Thursday. I'm sensitive to zinc, so limited in what I can use, which is fine by me.
Does EOS mint lip balm count? I'm pretty sure I haven't put on any makeup in a year. Luckily, I know for a fact that DH has bragged about the fact that I don't wear it.

I rarely wear makeup. The only thing I absolutely must have with me at all times is some form of Chapstick.
When I do wear makeup, most of it is cheap drugstore stuff since I don't really know WTF I'm doing (watching me try to put on eyeliner is probably hilarious). I don't even know what my skin tone is! XD

Origins pinch your cheeks blush, its a stain and lasts all day and looks natural no matter your skin type. Mac makes great foundation and concealer and can match any skin color and type. My skin changes "type" almost constantly.
On most days I use nothing, but when I do get a few extra minutes, I love Garnier BB Cream and tinted lip balm (Neutrogena and Burt's Bees are great). I also like to curl my eyelashes, even if I don't use mascara. It seems to help me look a bit more rested.
I love my Sephora collectiong box that my hubby gave me for Christmas two years ago. I think they do a new one each year so I've been hinting that I'd like another one. They are a great deal and I especially love the eye shadows and lip glosses included.
For mascara & foundation, I like Mary Kay and for skin / pore concealer I love Benefit Porefessional.
I also like bare minerals a lot for foundation, it's all I will use now, but I don't really love any of their other products (I tried the eyeshadow and lip stuff, but was not happy at all) so I go cheap on everything else - cover girl eyeshadow & eyeliner, maybeline mascara, lip stuff varies but I usually seem to drift back to Burt's bees tinted balms because I'm not big on lipstick, just hate how it feels.
You guys are all so awesome! I think i'm definitely going to get Urban Decay Naked3. The rest I will research and see what might work best with my skin. I think since a few of you mentioned the Voluminous Butterflies, i'll try that also. I'm leaning toward the bare minerals liquid foundation.
Question.. has anyone tried the Smashbox BB cream? They have awesome reviews.
I bought natural finish oil free foundation by COVER FX when I was pregnant because my hormones made dark spots in my face! I love benefit mascara and the best eye liner is from stila . I am crazy about makeup I buy in sephora and ulta .
BROWS: Anastacia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (self sharpening pencil) and brow powder duo, Maybeline Great Lash clear (to set crazy hairs), NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in Milk (for highlighting under brow)
EYESHADOW: Urban Decay has the best blending formula IMO, love the Naked and Smoked palettes. I also love their priming potion-the anti aging or the shimmer one.
EYELINER: (I'm a self proclaimed cat eye queen) Bobbi Brown black ink gel liner, NYX Super FAT eye marker
MASCARA: I was loyal to L'Oreal Voluminous forever, but I converted to Maybelline Big Eyes layered with L'Oreal Miss Manga. LashMD and Revitalash are awesome grown serums but cannot be used while pregnant or breastfeeding.
BRUSHES: I like Borghese- they often sell sets at Costco during the holidays
LIPSTICK- MAC all the way. Bold favorites: Russian Red, Chatterbox (hot pink), and Up the Amp (purple-pink). Wet n' Wild makes a great hot pink called Dollhouse pink. Burts Bees tinted chapstick for a natural lip.
LATEST OBSESSION: Lining the waterline with Rimmel ScandalEyes nude pencil. It makes your eyes look huge, and looks better than a stark white pencil which makes the whites of your eyes look yellow in comparison. And it's waterproof.
Also as someone else mentioned, NYX products are Sephora quality at a drugstore price.
I have way too much makeup and spend way too much on makeup. (I have. Seohora Rouge card) but I love Laura mercier tinted moisturizer Makeup forever finishing powder Kat von d trooper eyeliner (it is like a black marker) Benefit bad gal lash Bite lipsticks Nars glosses Urban decay eye shadows. Ole henriksen skin care
Yeah I wanted to say it is good for bruises but I thought that would make people think DH beats me-definitely not the case- I'm pale and I often get random unsightly bruises.

I curl my eyelashes without mascara too!!
The only makeup I wear once a week is foundation to even out my skin tone. I just buy whatever is cheap but gentle on the skin... So no help from me!

1) Rimmel hide the blemish concealer. It's one of the cheapest concealers you can buy but still one of the best. 2) Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat under eye highlighter / concealer. It makes me look less zombie, more human, 3) ANY of the Benefit cream eye shadows in little jars. They last for ages and blend really well. 4) Estée Lauder Idealist serum. Technically not a make up product. But if and when I can ever afford to buy it, my make up always goes on smoother and looks ten times better.
When I worked on television all the makeup artists used covergirl foundation on us. I don't know if it was because it was inexpensive or had a broad color range or covergirl just sent them shit for free. Not just for us pee-ons but for j-law and Christina applegate and everyone. I always get Estée Lauder or Lancôme but hell, I didnt look bad when I saw myself.

Its all that same honestly. Loreal, Max Factor and a few other "drugstore" brands control damn near all of our cosmetic choices. It's insane how much Loreal owns. They own Lancome and Urbay Decay!
Good info. Thank you! I was doing research and found a loreal true blend liquid mineral foundation that's so similar to urban decay. I picked it up, and it's awesome! my skin looks dewy, not oily and it doesn't feel like I have a mask on. I also picked up almay smartshade concealer.. I love that as well!
Well, I rarely put makeup on. I have only worn it once since I had bubba. No desire too especially because I'm fat and pregnant again. No suggestions from me! Although I feel as if I should buy myself some. The pedi and ob must think I don't give a shit about my appearance. At least my baby is cute lol
I use revlon mascara (the one with a bunch of colors on the tube.. Can't remember the name) and it's awesome. I used to buy the expensive stuff but this stuff works just as well and it's only $5.

Did I miss something?
She's been an extra in a lot of things!
lol @ "pee-ons"
Urban Decay is a terrible name for a make-up line.

@edoliesmom I always thought it sounded very teeny bopperish
I guess I can see that, but I was thinking more along the lines of why would anyone find something with the word decay in it appealing and want to put it on their face?

"Urban Decay" makes me think of abandoned buildings with paint peeling down the walls. They can be beautiful, in the right mindset, but yeah, probably not the best name for makeup. :P

For those of you with the Naked palette, what number do you guys like best or use? I think I like number 3 and could use it most.
Naked 1!!!!
I have all three and I hardly ever touch the 3rd one. Not sure what color your eyes are, but the naked 3 is great for green eyed girls because it's a lot of pinky shades.
Re: GTKY: Makeup must-haves
OP - I like Clinique eye liners. They go on very smoothly. Bare minerals powder foundation is great.

Mac Pro long wear foundation
Mac Pro long wear concealer
Mac mineralize powder
Mac mineralize bronzer
Mac blush (the color I use is called "style" )
Zoom mascara by Mac or "they're real" mascara by benefit.
I also use voluminous mascara by Loreal.
My favorite BB cream is by Physicians Formula. It's a little on the light side but I use a little bronzer with it and it looks pretty natural.
I use "smolder" by Mac for my waterline and "black track" fluid line by Mac for my eyeliner on my lids.
When I am going out for a night on the town I wear #45 lashes by Andrea.
