@Lilwatz - please don't feel like a bad mom!! I'm positive you are doing magnificent I'm sure the pediatrician will have some great input and Chloe will be just fine
Thanks, everyone! Our pediatrician referred us to another office in their practice that has a nurse practitioner that also gives super lactation consultanty advice. They also want us to weigh her there because they have 2 scales and theirs was 7 oz off from the office go to last week. My office is in the process of recalibrating their scale. Sooooo, at 2pm we go up there. I am hopeful we will get some good advice. We are not against supplementing with formula if we need to. It's just so discouraging because Chloe is not fussy and quite content after each feeding. Our pediatrician is very confused because everything sounds good, but her number is low.

My two cents? Since you were supposed to be induced today, she's being a little stubborn. Now that she was "born" today, she'll start gaining. (Not really how it works, I know. But a silly thought I had)
Guiseeeee...I may or may not have totally lost enough MP for all of us... (I'm positive that was it and no TB Poll is necessary-- sorry to disappoint) And I total did a happy dance after it. Now what? I guess I sit and wait? I've been having non stop contractions all morning (still) so I hope this is another step in the ultimate goal. That is all.
Happy Monday! Parker and I didn't have sex.... Oh well. Around 5 I finally Found a comfortable position. I stacked my pillows up and had my legs resting on a pillow. It was like I was sleeping in a recliner! Parker and I stayed in bed until 12! Woohoo. He is headed back to South Carolina and I'm now at work.
Thanks ladies!!!! I'm ridiculously excited and partying her all by myself. Shouldn't of told hubby that I was pretty sure I just gave birth to my right kidney... He didn't get the joke & just freaked out instead.
@LongIslandMama1114 it totally counts! I see you have your party hat on so welcome to the party! <:-P
@joshua+rebecca11 I hope so!!! Maybe this kid/my cervix is fearing the wrath of my doc and tomorrow's check so they're making a run for it today! I'll keep you guys posted!

Boo! I was hoping to hear how your own game of Tetris went!
Wow. Sitting at the OB's office and this little girl showed up with her mom and took it upon herself to clean up and organize all the toys left by other kids. And now she's sitting quietly playing on her mom's phone.
Dear God please let one or both of these babies be this good...
N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!
TTC since 2011
Aug. - Sept. 2013 - dIUIs = BFNs
January 2014 - IVF = 3 freezer babies
March 2014 - FET of AA and AB blast = BFP! Twins!
Nov. 7, 2014 - Wilhelmina "Willa" Suzanne (4lb 14oz) and Ari Jose (6lb 4oz) were born via CS
Ok I know this is completely dumb but, I've always heard and read that your baby can taste what you eat in the amniotic fluid, makes sense! Well I just had the spiciest meal of my life (trying to induce labor lol) but now I'm worried my spicy food will burn the baby!
@MrsG1019 - Can I just say I find it slightly funny that your LO isn't coming? After your scare at 21 weeks, all that time on bedrest, etc... *now* he's decided he's comfy in there. I know it's not actually funny and you don't want to be induced, but still.
Oh I think it's HILLARIOUS so you're not alone! Every week I make it to another OB visit we both laugh & she is shocked im still pregnant considering the day the stitches came out she told me I may not want to wander too far from the hospital (since I live so far away & she was expecting me to go into labor any moment). Now It's like seriously!?! We had to stitch the kid inside me ... Keep me on 15 weeks of complete bed rest... And NOW my cervix has decided to prove itself!!? Great job cervix... Wish you could have kept it together 18 weeks ago! Pretty sure I'm gonna join the 11/28 club at this rate!
Took a 1/2 hour walk and I swear my abdomen was contracting the whole time. Get back to my desk, sit down and I feel nothing. I think I may be confused as to what an actual BH contraction feels like.......they shouldn't be a constant 1/2 hour tightening, right ?

@MrsG1019...I hope it's your turn!! That little boy sure is playing with his mommy!!
@FhSTAR81...I love Addison stories. She is hilarious!! Her recital outfit is adorable too!!
I feel so awful today. I'm extremely exhausted and just woke myself from a nap throwing up and choking on it. Worst thing ever. I followed that up with diarrhea which I welcome because it's so much better than being constipated!! Oh, this isn't the TMI thread. Sorry, ladies!!
I had so much energy this weekend and feel like I can't even pick my head up now. DH and I had sex last night which was pretty awesome but nothing came of it except for a very hard uterus afterwards. Those doctors are lying to us!!

Why does meconium always have to be described as "sticky poop." Even if it is, can you just drop the "sticky" every once in a while. I'm not interested in verifying that anyway.
I just realized...I have to bring my pup in for some shots today and I absolutely hate doing this. I normally make MH do it because I hate it so much. My dog doesn't even get bothered by the shots but he HATES having his temp done. I'm usually such an emotional wreck (there have been tears before) holding him and telling him it's all going to be ok. The part I just realized...I'm going to have to do this with a kid in a few months and they will probably actually cry. Am I a bad mother if I just MH to those appointments? I'm not sure I can handle this.
Can you not ask to leave the room or have staff hold? We never have owners hold for anything and they are always welcome to stand outside the room if anything makes them uncomfortable.

When we take DS to his appointments I'm in the room with him and DH right up until the shots, then I step out and DH takes over.
I stand outside and cry listening to my baby boy crying. Everytime. Then the nurse comes out to get me and DS and I cuddle.
@BrigetThoams I have been eating the spiciest food of my life while pregnant- it was really my only major craving. DH says the baby will be born with a red face from the amount of hot sauce I've consumed. I just think he'll be more cultured for it
@MrsG1019 Let's get this party started momma! Come on out baby!
Car seat PSA. We installed our car seat on the weekend and our neighbour with 2 kids came over and helped. He was really confident and seemed to know what he was doing. Well I had my seat inspected today and it was installed incorrectly for several reasons. I also learned a LOT in regards to how much slack there should be on the straps, where the chest clip should be and those head adjusters and mirrors etc.
I recommend everyone go and get their seat inspected. It's free and I can't believe how much I learned. I feel so much more confident now.
@WildFlower810 - FX it's nothing, food poisoning is nasty business...I've had it twice! (You'd think I'd learn my lesson about eating iffy food but, nooooooo...) take it easy and drink water to try to keep your system flushed. It could be just off enough to make your tummy upset but not actually be food poisoning. Hope you are feeling better soon!!!
@meeshybee ...Thinking of you and your family today. I hope everyone is doing ok!
Aw, thank you!
We took Dh to the airport this morning and I think it finally hit home with the kids. DD1 took it pretty hard, but she got to talk to him while he was on his layover and that helped a lot. I kept her and DS home from school today because I figured they'd need some time to absorb things. Hopefully it won't affect their school lives too much.
They changed his assignment, though, so he should be back at least for a little bit at the beginning of December. It's pretty obvious they are figuring this program out as they go, though, so that could and probably will change.

3:45 here and wide awake. Hips hurt so bad I can't lay in bed anymore. Sorry to all my other n14 momma's that can't sleep. 39 weeks today and I have a feeling this baby isn't coming any time soon. I'm going to be one of those ladies that goes the full 42 weeks then has to be induced (
Same boat I am 39 weeks today as well Doc said I'm starting to thin out but I'm not dilated at all he said if I'm still pregnant at my EDD we are gonna schedule to be induced
Today I felt so good during work, I started to second guess my choice to not work up until I go into labor. But now I'm so exhausted I'm thinking I'll stick to my plan. It helps that my sub is in the room for at least half the day and has started grading and learning how to enter things into the grade book the way I do so I'm having an easy work situation right now.
I've heard for months that your water doesn't break on its own, especially early on, that they'll break it at the hospital... but it seems like the recent birth stories all feature water breaking... Dare i hope the same for myself? I'm still in camp How The Hell Will I Know, since contractions have no pattern or timeability at all...
Can someone help break down amniotic fluid levels. What should it be at? I just had an ultrasound and my levels were lower then last week bUT when I questioned it the tech said it's because of my diet. She said it fluctuates based on what I eat and drink. I didn't think it worked like that. Considering how often I'm dehydrated from HG. Can someone give me a little insight please.
The way my doc explained it to me is that your fluid is a direct reflection of what you take in. Whenever my fluid is on the lower end she always asks if I've been slacking on my fluid intake (and she's always right) since the fluid is essentially what baby pees out at this point.. The amount of fluid you take in can really impact that.

I feel the exact same way!!!! There needs to be some alarm or something like one of those poppers in turkeys that pops and says hey I'm done cooking!!!!
Re: Monday Randoms
@bethas - FX that baby engages soon!!
@AnnieRoo13 - hopefully it means something is about to happen
