2. When is your next appointment? Prenatal phone appointment on Friday and then as soon as they can get me in after that for my first U/S
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Okay. Morning sickness set in this weekend, which sucks big time, but also has me feeling more like it's real. Plus I haven't seen any spotting, even when H and I have had sex which I definitely did with my first pregnancy. I'm feeling really hopeful at the moment.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? H and I have taken to calling baby 'our little alien'. And on the Ovia pregnancy app it gave me an update the other day that baby is the size of a blueberry. So baby is also 'our little blueberry'. And 'our blueberry alien'. For some reason it just really cracks us up.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? We had planned to dress up as a PanAm pilot and stewardess, but now that we know I'm pregnant and am not feeling so hot we are just going to keep it low key. We'll probably wear old costumes or throw something together this week and just hand out candy and watch movies
2. When is your next appointment? U/S is on Friday. I'm trying to relax and trust that these increasing symptoms are a good sign, but the closer it gets the more anxious I am.
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? I guess I answered that above.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? DD (3) prays every night and thanks God for the new baby. Warms my heart.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? We went trick or treating pn Saturday (my first time ever lol) and will be going to a party on Friday. We will all dress up for the party. I'll be Daenerys Targaryen and dh is Khal Drogo. I'll be wearing ds2, so he's going as a dragon.
2. When is your next appointment? Wednesday for exam and u/s
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Not great right now... I'm both excited for and terrified of the u/s. I will be around the point when the baby stopped developing last time around, so that's just weighing on me.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Honestly, I'm happy to be pregnant in general, but there's not a whole lot of joy going on right now. I feel like crap.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Passing out candy. I bought this leopard footie pajama costume thing from Target to wear, since it will be the easiest thing to throw on quickly when I get home from work. MIL is coming over so I'm praying for some patience. haha

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? This week is almost hard, out of 5 miscarriages we have lost 4 at or near 8 weeks. To top it off I am on bed rest, so nothing to do but lay around and worry about my baby, finances, and random crap your brain creates since you're already worried (like how my FIL said "got it" when I said I was pregnant.... What does that mean?!?!)
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? I got brave yesterday and I started looking online at bassinets. I marveled at how brave I have gotten with this baby (people know- except our kids, I looked at baby stuff, I gave baby a nickname).
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? I have two kids ages 4 and 7 and I am on bedrest. So thankfully, their godparents offered to come over for pizza and I will lay around with their baby and they will take my kids trick or treating (hubby is working nights). I am dressing up as a big kid (footie pjs, their baby is going to be a teddy bear, and I am going to wear some pig tails lol).

3. How is PGAL brain treating you?
Meh. I keep looking at the TP for any sign of spotting, over-analyzing my symptoms and their severity, thinking "if we get bad news on Wednesday, then this was that moment when it happened" whenever I get over-stressed/anxious/worried/eat something not perfect/etc.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy?
Today, I am pregnant. Also, that cream cheese biscuit with strawberry jam was pretty good this morning.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up?

3. How is PGAL brain treating you?
PGAL brain is in full effect this week. I feel like I am already dismissing this baby and trying to move on, to protect my heart. I want to cherish the time we have, however long that may be, but my pgal brain won't let me. It says to let go and try not to get hurt.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy?
I have none. I wish I did. Every once in awhile I'll get a flash of a sleeping baby or a toddler playing with her brother and sister. For one moment I think maybe it's going to happen. I live for those moments.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? We will do a small round of trick or treat. The kids are a ninja turtle and princess Anna. They won't last long but it'll be fun to do for a bit!

Ultrasound 11/4 - TWO HEARTBEATS!!!

2. When is your next appointment?
I see my doctor tomorrow and have my first ultrasound Thursday.
3. How is PGAL brain treating you?
Depends on the day. As the ultrasound gets closer, I find myself terrified we won't see a heartbeat. Last time my ultrasound was around 8 weeks 3 days and there was no heartbeat, baby had stopped developing in the 7th week. That being said, my hormone levels never doubled last time and this time they are. So I keep telling myself this time is different and to stay positive. Most days I'm able to

Simply the fact that I'm pregnant! I'm so happy at the thought of my husband and I becoming parents.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up?
We plan to dress up and give out candy, although we usually don't get many kids. Hoping to see more trick or treaters this year!
1. How far along are you? 7 weeks 5 days
2. When is your next appointment? This Wednesday is our FIRST appointment. I can't wait. Praying everything is as it should be. My last pregnancy ended at WK 7. The only ultrasound I had last time was in the emergency clinic where they told me everything was looking good....I miscarried two days later.
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? I was doing great until I started seeing people posting their goodbyes to us. My heart is heavy for them and I can't help but feel that sense of worry for me.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Hearing my husband say "once the baby is here". Nothing better than having positivity from my partner in life.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? We 'celebrated' Halloween at work last Friday - not sure why. So I dressed up as a witch, which will be the extent of my Halloween participation this year. Maybe there will be a World Series parade to attend? More than anything, I can guarantee an early bed time. We are going whale watching on Saturday (an early birthday present for me), and will have to be on the road early in the AM to make it down the coast in time for the tour.
That would be pretty crazy! (not the twins, but your psychic DS lol)
2. When is your next appointment? I was supposed to have an appointmet today but we had a major storm come through this weekend and the power is out on that side of town. They called to reschedule. I have to wait until Nov. 3rd now. I am so irritated.
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? I feel like I am analyzing every twinge I feel. My husband told me he was going to cancel the internet if I didn't stop Googling "odds of miscarriage by week" and other such nonsense.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? I am pregnant today!
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? I am heading to my girlfriend's house after work. DH has to work late that night. We're going to pass candy to the kids in her neighborhood and watch Hocus Pocus. No costumes, just PJs!!

2. When is your next appointment? Today at 3:30. Just an office visit though. Had our first u/s last week.
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Well, I was able to get really happy and excited and that lasted for all of 24 hours before the overwhelming fear set in again. Our u/s last Wednesday showed everything developing exactly on point and a good strong heartbeat of 167 bpm. Then Thursday night at 8:30 my OB called me to tell me that the u/s showed a tiny separation in the placenta, but as long as I have no bleeding, it shouldn't be much to worry about. So that's when the fear set in again.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Same as last week. Every symptom - the sore boobs, the ever present nausea, the exhaustion+insomnia, all things point to a healthy growing baby.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Staying home with my husband and puppy, passing out candy to trick-or-treaters. No dressing up for us.

3. How is PGAL brain treating you?
I was so nervous this morning I was sick (different than my morning sickness) before our u/s because the last time I had one it was to confirm our miscarriage in Feb. We saw the heartbeat today but still feel wary until we hear it.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy?
We saw the heart beat and it was a normal 98bpm for 6weeks.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Prob not going too. Still too early to have to explain to friends whY I'm not out drinking

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Much better than expected.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? That MS hasn't hit. I hope it stays away!
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Trick or treating on Friday. We aren't dressing up, but DS is going as a lion.
2. When is your next appointment? 10/31 - Health History Appointment (Already had an ultrasound on 10/14/14)
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Better with each passing day. We lost 3 since February between weeks 5 and 6. I am farther along than with any previous loss. Still examine tp for spotting and even going to the bathroom gives me anxiety at times. However, we saw a strong heart beat at our 6 week 4 days ultrasound so feeling better all the time.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Gearing up to tell our parents in another week or 2. Also, just being pregnant
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Taking are almost 3 year old trick or treating earlier. Then he's staying at Grandma's and hubby and I are dressing up as hippies and going to a Halloween party.

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Back to where I was last week with the "please let LO be growing!" I had a pretty fantastically scary moment with progesterone this morning. Lets just say there was some buildup that needed to come out, and it scared the shit out of me.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? I don't know if I would call it a joy, but the nausea has totally kicked in and it's awesome.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Handing out candy at hour house and nope. This is my least favorite holiday.
2. When is your next appointment? first ultrasound at 7w, scheduled for Nov. 11
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Terrible. Today's beta was 284, up from 113 on Thursday. I plugged it into one of those doubling calculators and it spit back a doubling time of 71.85 Hours, with an increase of 59% over 2 days. The nurse from the RE's office who called me was very positive about it and said the rise is "absolutely appropriate" for the range they would hope to see. She kept saying, "this is good" and was really encouraging. But of course my PGAL brain is going nuts. I know that the generally "accepted" doubling time is anywhere from 48 to 72 hours. And I've sort of heard people say that their REs like to see an increase of at least 60% over 2 days (mine says that 50% is OK). But REALLY? Why do my numbers have to be at the absolute low end/borderline of that spectrum? Come on little babycakes, pick up the pace! I will get one more draw, either Friday or Monday. When I go in is totally up to me and how laid back and/or crazy I'm feeling. U/S not until 7 weeks.

I'm further along than I have been so far so my brain has shifting to worrying that something is wrong with the baby.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy?
My exhaustion has been a little better the last two days, hopefully that means I'll start to feel better going forward.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up?
Baby boy is a lion. This will be a quick trip to grab some candy! Our weather forecast is cold and rainy with a chance of snow... Boo hoo!
2. When is your next appointment? First prenatal appt Nov. 19th
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? I'm doing a lot better now that my spotting has finally stopped. It lasted for 13 days straight, thankfully we went to the doctors when it first started and got an US and hormone level tests that assured us that everything is on track. Morning sickness has kicked in as well and I swear I felt a kick, but I know there's no way that could happen yet.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy?
Beyond the stars. Hubby and I are completely overjoyed and can't wait to see our lil bear.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up?
Hubby and I handed out candy yesterday with his grandma and sister. We don't have any places to go out and have a good time around here really so we are staying in for Halloween.
Hi everyone. I'm new to this thread but I really need it today. I had my first pregnancy end in miscarriage at the very end of August. We tried again right away and got pregnant before my next period.
1. How far along are you? 7w1d
2. When is your next appointment? Thursday Oct 30 for ultrasound. I was supposed to be waiting until Nov 11th but I woke up to one spot of blood on the toilet paper this morning.
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? It was ok, until this morning. Then I about lost my mind. I actually have a stiff neck right now because I must have tensed up my whole body instantly when I saw that drop. But, that turned out to be it (thankfully, and at least for now). I am hoping that everything is ok and it's a good sign that it wasn't much.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? That one drop of blood did not continue. There was no more all day. Once at 6am, then nothing. It was different than last time, when it started like a period and kept getting worse. My joy is that I am still pregnant. My boobs are still as sore as they were. I'm still as tired and hungry. I'm still pregnant. Also as a positive, I get to see my baby sooner now and hopefully confirm he or she is doing well, and maybe hear a heartbeat. That would be wonderful.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? I will not be dressing up, but hopefully will be checking out an ultrasound photo!

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? On and off. I have some stronger symptoms than I did with my last pregnancy and definitely more than with my loss. Praying that is a good sign. I've had diarrhea (TMI) today though and that freaks me out...
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Looking at DD crawling around and thinking about how fun it would be to do the whole baby stage again, and how she will love having a little brother or sister to play with this time next year.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? We are dressing DD up as a ladybug and taking her around to say hi to our neighbors (most of whom we have not met yet after moving a few months ago). I'm taking Friday off and can't wait!

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Its been a tough week. I have a feeling Im gonna be a wreck til after my ultrasound on Monday.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Looking at baby clothes, nursery ideas, baby names. I just cant wait to do this again.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? We are all going as pirates. My son has an OBSESSION with Captain hook. I have a black and white striped maternity shirt and a red scarf I plan to wear around my waist. Thats about as dressed up as Im getting this year LOL

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? I have been a nervous wreck all day. This was around the time we had our last ultrasound in feb confirming the baby no longer had a heartbeat. Every time I go to the bathroom I expect to see blood.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Today I am pregnant.... And my husband is so supportive and positive it's keeping me from going too crazy!!

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? This has been a tough week since this is the week we lost our last baby. And last night I was spotting briefly. So it's been a rough day! But Dr is optimistic that its nothing! May do ultrasound for peace of mind.

I had two miscarriages earlier this year and am expecting again now. :x
1) I'm 6w3d
2) my next Dr (and first with this baby) is tomorrow morning! So excited to hear this little heart beating.
3) My brain plays games with me. From nightmares to general anxiety, this is our last chance so I want/need this baby to stay healthy and stay put!
4) My joy is the sore boobs and morning sickness that let me know things are still cookin in there, lol
5) I'll be home handing out candy with the DH as our son goes out with his friends alone for the first time. I'm dressing up as Gamora from Guardian's of the Galaxy. Love halloween!!
2. When is your next appointment? I have my first US today!! Im a big ball of anxiousness
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? today is bad. Im soooo nervous for my US. My symptoms are really coming and going and of course today I dont feel pregnant at all.

First appointment is today!
I'm handling PGAL brain much better this time around than during pregnancy with DD (2 losses before her, 1 after). My symptoms are terrible, but as many of you have said, that is very reassuring. I honestly am trying to think about the things I want to do with our toddler in the upcoming months before birth rather than focusing on the pregnancy. We have only told one couple (due within 8 days of each other, so exciting!) so there isn't constant baby conversation with family/friends yet to make me think about things all the time.
Current pregnancy joy: I guess just that DH and I both have a good feeling about things this time around.
DD is being a witch for Halloween. She just turned two and kind of understands so trick or treating should be really fun this year!

I try not to think about it so much. Although I'm terrified, I think of how I need to remain positive and stress free for my little one. I also think of how rare it will be for this pregnancy to go like my last. I lost my boy to osteogenesis imperfecta. My OB also gives me a lot of strength by telling me this pregnancy is looking perfect so far and I have nothing to be concerned about

Looking at my first ultrasound pic of my little one as a sac and yolk and thinking "wow we really made that" while eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? I was going to go down the Waikiki strip with my friends and dress up as Harley Quinn. But I think I will hang out with my mom and pass out candy instead. I have no energy to get up and dress up anyway haha

3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Awful. I am so paranoid. I think once we get passed the mark where we lost Baby #1 I will be a little better but I just don't feel like there is a "safe zone". I have had friends who lost babies after the first trimester and I just keep praying that this kiddo stays nice and healthy and makes it full term.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? No NAUSEA this time around! (Knock on wood, fingers crossed it stays that way). I had it 24/7 last time so I am so thankful this time is different.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? I am not a huge fan of Halloween (but I am a Christmas junkie) so if I do anything it will be a Trunk or Treat with work. That will be at the same time as our neighborhood Trick-or-Treat. Hubby won't be here yet (we just moved end of last month and he won't be coming until almost mid-November) so I am hoping to get some extra shut eye and snuggle with the pups.

Yesterday was my birthday, so I wasn't around much!
1. How far along are you? 8w2d
2. When is your next appointment? Another u/s (1 week follow up) scheduled for Thursday.
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Hmm...well, I've been spotting/bleeding on and off since last Wednesday. It could be better.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? We got to see our "Blob" last Thursday. I began bleeding the day before, so I was pretty nervous for the u/s. Everything seemed ok though. He/she had a heartbeat of 148 and measured exactly with what I thought (7w4d at that time). I'm still spotting off and on, so I go back for another u/s this Thursday. Also, my symptoms keep getting stronger...nauseous and exhausted like mad....I love it!
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? I'll be sitting on the couch with H watching scary movies and quilting in between handing out candy.

2. When is your next appointment? Nothing scheduled since my first appointment yesterday. When I get my betas back today, I'm sure we'll schedule the prenatal interview then.
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? Like shit since I'm waiting for the phone call to hear the results from yesterday's betas any minute now. Every single cramp, no matter how light or brief has me on high alert.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? Actually, my symptoms. With the first BFP, my only symptoms were bloat and frequent urination for a couple days. This time, I haven't been able to smell meat cooking and my boobs feel about twenty pounds each. They hurt so incredibly bad. I'm pretty happy about it.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? Since this is the first year in quite a few I've lived in a house and not an apartment, I'm sure we'll have trick-or-treaters. Our plans are to watch Halloween movies, and hand out/eat candy until it's gone - resulting in more candy being eaten than given away.
ETA: I did get a progesterone prescription yesterday, so that did somewhat ease my worries since last time I had extremely low progesterone. So yay for that.

2. When is your next appointment? My first appointment is tomorrow. I'm not really sure what they do besides make me pee in a cup and a pap, ugh!
3. How is PGAL brain treating you? I've generally been "ok" but I also don't think about how I'm pregnant and since I haven't had an ultrasound yet, it isn't quite real for me.
4. What's your current Pregnancy joy? My skin seems to be clearing up magically so that's a plus.
5. GTKY: What are your Halloween plans & will you be dressing up? I just plan on taking the kids "Trick or Treating" I haven't dressed up in years.
