Hello Ladies,

Please let me know if we have you in the wrong area. Hugs to all who need them!!

AFM - I started Lupron last week. I was doing great on the med without side effects until yesterday. The headaches, hot flashes, and sleepless night started!! Hopefully they won't keep me down. I am waiting for AF, but my body does not feel like it is preparing for AF. I have an acupuncture appointment tonight, and hopefully they can help me get the show on the road.

QOTD - I would love to go to Greece. My grandpa was born in Greece, but sadly died when my father was a small child. I would love to find out more about our family history. I would take my husband and dad on my dream trip.

I'm back from vacation. I had a great time in the Caribbean :-)

Last night was my last BCP. I had my suppression check this morning and everything looks great: no cysts and thin lining. AFC was 41. I don't know how that compares to my other IVF cycles because my old nurses never counted, just looked and said "Yep, still PCOS ovaries". Stims should start on Wednesday.

I've had issues with immature eggs in the past so I'll be very happy if I get 10 or more MATURE eggs since we are doing a half donor sperm cycle, where half of the eggs get fertilized with donor sperm and the other half DH's sperm.

QOTD: I would go to Greece. Ideally I would do by myself. I like to travel alone so that I can do what I want, when I want. DH might be able to come if he does his own thing

blueeyes233 I'm really interested in your half and half... we have MFI and discussed a donor if IVF doesn't work for us after 2 tries. With half and half, will you find out if the child is biologically your husbands? Sorry if this is a personal question. Feel free to tell me to mind my own business.

I take my final BCP today. The lupron shots are going..... I still have some panic every am before I get it over with. I thought by now my fear of needles would be cured, but so far it's been a daily struggle. I was having terrible headaches, but yesterday, I didn't have to take any Tylenol. I'm hoping my body is adjusting and it will continue to be easier. Scheduled for my baseline ultrasound on Saturday am. If all looks well, I will start stimming Saturday. Time seems to be moving faster now that I'm on meds. Waiting each day seemed like an eternity....

So excited to finally be moving forward. My protocol includes follistim and low dose hcg, same as last time but with higher doses hoping for more follicles.

I just had my baseline u/s, and I have a 24 mm cyst on my right side. This is a total shock to me, because I have never had any cysts in any of my other million vaginal u/s. I'm pretty devastated. I wont be able to start next cycle either (even if the cyst is gone), because they only schedule so many ER/ET at one time and they are full. If someone else has a cyst and gets knocked out, then I may be able to cycle in December. Otherwise we will be pushed to January, and start all over again with medical deductibles.

So I am no longer a tiny turkey

I had my day five of stims monitoring yesterday and I'm feeling pretty down. I feel like I'm kind of in the dark about this whole thing and it's hard to get straight information. I'm on the Estrogen Priming Protocol (EPP). Basically yesterday showed that nothing has really happened yet. I have one 10mm follicle on the left and a few that are less than 10. My estrogen was only at like 135, hardly up at all from 110 at baseline. They told me to come back in 48 hours and hopefully we will see more growth. It's really hard not to compare to my last cycle where I had three above 10 on day five and my estrogen was already at 430. DH and I asked both the nurse and a doctor what this means and they both just sort of shrugged it off like "well we'll see". I've read enough to know that EPP is supposed to slow things down to allow other follicles to grow, but I just can't shake the feeling that I'm going to get canceled. I'm on max doses and this is supposed to be the protocol for my diagnosis, so getting canceled will feel pretty hopeless.

Ugh! @TLooney17, so sorry for the delay!! I can only imagine how frustrated you must be.

AFM: Still plugging along on Lupron, estrogen patches (up to 4) & baby aspirin. I was thinking I was getting along great without too many side effects, but ended up with a terrible head ache yesterday and got in a huge fight with DH over something that has long been an issue, but really isn't that big a deal... so have to admit I might be a bit more emotional than usual. Baseline on Wednesday and on track for ET next Wednesday. I just got off the phone paying my clinic fees, so guess it is really happening.

Not TTC related... MIL is at home & doing very well post-op. No talk yet about when chemo happens, but it is definitely on the horizon. In other news, I dropped my last two foster kittens off at the vet this morning for their spay/neuter proedures. They will be ready for their forever homes in a few days. Giving them up would always have been hard... but I am expecting itto be

I have been on Estrace for a few weeks now and went today for my BW and U/S, if all looks good I will be setting up the date/time for the FET. Which I think would take place in the next few days, which also means I would start the PIO shots as well.....I need to watch those videos again

Anyway... was just saying that giving up the foster kittens will be extra tough with these hormones making me extra emotional.

QOTD: I am always ready to hop a plane to Scotland -- love the country and don't get to see my family nearly often enough. But other than that, would love to take my mom to Petra, in Jordan. She has always been fascinated with that site. She made it possible for me to travel extenssively in my youth - Scotland, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Belize... But she has not gotten to do much international travel herself. I'd love to be able to take her to her #1 bucket list travel site. And as an archaeologist, I would love to visit Petra, too. Very cool site!

AFM, just waiting to have my baseline Thursday. I've been having quite a bit of pain on my right side so I'm hoping it's just my endo reacting to the BC pills and not a cyst.

Hi Ladies! Hope that is ok if I join you. Just found out we will be in the November group last Friday.

I had my ER in October, but had to do a freeze all due to really high E2 levels and possible risks of OHSS. We just found out on Friday that we will be doing our first FET around November 15th. Started on Estrace and the Minivelle patch last Friday as well. We ended up with with 5 snowbabies, and we are planning on transferring 2 for this first go round. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

QOTD: I would love to travel to Australia & New Zealand. I've heard it's beautiful there and lots to see!

Spring78 I fostered a dog once, when It was time to give him to his new family was SO sad for me! I cried for days!!! I can feel your pain, and I guess it is tougher in your case that they are puppies!!!

nowthatsalady I am in the same protocol as you, with some small changes, but I am also reading everything that I can about it.. I noticed that you have asked about it to your doctor and they haven't said much.. this also happens with me during my US appointments, I hate that! I don't know why they think it is nice to keep us in the dark. And if I ask my nurse about it, it makes me even angrier, she usually says, in her calm and annoying voice, "oh it is fine don't worry".. what kind of answer is that!! X(

AFM, nothing has changed around here.. I am waiting for my meds that should arrive this Wednesday, and then I will start estrogen patches this Friday and Ganirelex on Saturday.

QOTD: I went to Greece with my parents once and it was AMAZING!!! I really wanted to go with DH..

I am plugging along with BCPs, which I stop on 11/1. I start Lupron on Wednesday though, and am dreading it. I think I can handle the needles (though I dread the Progesterone needles) but I'm afraid of the headaches and irritability. I was a gremlin on Clomid when we were trying IUI, and I am really worried I'll feel like that again! Has anyone been on it and felt pretty ok?

QOTD: New Zealand/Australia! I'd want to take so many people - I'm pretty outgoing.

We had poor fertilization with ICSI last cycle (7/17 fertilized normally, 41%). The embryologist felt it was due to a really poor sperm sample. I want to make sure its not an egg issue as well so we decided to do the half and half cycle rather than all donor, I really didn't want to risk fertilization again since eggs are harder to get than sperm

, so that we can compare fertilization rates and embryo development. The donor sperm will be allowed to fertilize naturally and DH's sperm will be ICSI'd. If both batches do well then it was a fluke; if the donor batch does better than DH's then we will be using a donor from now on; if both batches do poorly then its an egg problem and we will move onto donor eggs (RE thinks this is unlikely).

I want the RE to pick the best embryos to transfer. I don't care about knowing which batch they are from, DH isn't stressed about it either. I will use all good quality embryos that are made, regardless of biology. We decided not to tell family about using a donor because I know some of our family is very into "blood" and would treat a donor child differently (I have my own infertility issues that I'm open about so IVF wasn't a surprise to anyone). We won't tell any children about the donor either. I come from a very blended family and have seen the hurt that can come from "You're not my REAL father", I don't want my DH to go through that. All children will be HIS children. We did decide to pick a donor that matches DH's height and coloring as well as blood type.

We've used donor sperm before, when doing IUI. We did 3 tries with DH sperm then 4 tries with donor sperm. I got PG the first try with the donor, but m/c'd. After the m/c I didn't respond as well to meds and I got several bad batches of sperm from the cryobank so the RE wasn't surprised that I didn't get pregnant again. We were going to move onto injectibles and a donor but DH decided that it was time for IVF due to the increased odds so we went back to his sperm.

DH's MFI is borderline. Samples go from 30% motility/1% morphology to 80% motility and 5% morphology, count is always good. His sperm just doesn't seem to respond well to my eggs but getting bad ICSI fertilization was a surprise especially since 5/6 eggs fertilized normally with ICSI our first IVF (90%).

I just received the call from the nurse. E2 was 46, P4 was 0.1, Lining was 6.8. I stopped BCP last night and I should get some spotting or a withdrawal bleed in the next few days to clear out that lining. She said to call if I don't start spotting by Wednesday afternoon but its not a big deal. Stims start Wednesday night, 225 Follistim and 10 units microdose hCG.

Good news! Well the best news I could expect after this mornings appointment. The ivf nurse called to tell me that someone called to cancel their December cycle! So as long as my cyst goes away my I should start Lupron mid Nov and have ER the first week of December.

I am still very disappointed about the delay, but at least I can cycle before the end of the year! Thanks for all of the support!

I am waiting to hear from the pharmacy to get my meds sent. I'll be taking bravelle, menupur and ganirelix I believe. I'll be on a high dose since I only have one ovary. RE wants to get as many follicles as possible. It's so crazy that next week I could be starting this process that I've been waiting so long for! And even more crazy to think in less than a month I could be pregnant! I am so excited!!

Hi Tiny Turks

I'm starting Delestrogen tonight, so I'm ready to be moved to the "Stimming" category.

I had two blood draws today. The first was just one vial for my RE to run my estradiol. The second was 13 vials for Dr. KK - it was a lot of blood!

QOTD: right now, the only place I want to go is to bed! Haha! So, I guess a Bed & Breakfast somewhere quiet and fabulous

Last night was my last BCP!! Woo! I was soooo sick of them. My baseline is on Friday and if everything looks good, I start stims on Saturday. This week is going to be insanely busy for me, so I'm just hoping I don't have a meltdown before my cycle even starts.

QOTD: We went to St. John (US Virgin Islands) for our honeymoon, and I would looooove to go back. I'm not super cultured on trips, just give me a beach and a nice drink, please! I would even let my husband come. ;-)

AFM: I had my first u/s after starting stims 7 days ago. E2 was 750. I have 15 follicles over 10mm. They're concerned about OHSS developing. The nurse said that's "a lot of measurable follicles" this early. She said to rest and stay hydrated. Next u/s and bw is Wednesday and then they'll have a better idea of my ER date. I told the nurse I'm feeling ok but I think I jinxed myself because now I'm starting to get crampy.

QOTD: I would go back to Hawaii or somewhere in the South Pacific with DH. We wanted to go back this winter but should really put the money towards an addition on our house.

Sorry this will be a post and run, work is kicking my butt right now. Big hugs to anyone who needs them.

I posted in thursday's thread about my hiccup with delestrogen (missing syringes and needles) and the completely unhelpful lady on the retail side of the pharmacy. I called this morning and the the fertility pharmacy people were so helpful. They are sending out my missing syringes and needles and they will be here on Wednesday.

What didn't go so smoothly was my call to Quest. I have been waiting for over a month for my blood work with the RI (done 8/14) to be resubmitted. I saw that one of the four invoices had been resubmitted to my insurance, but I recieved new copies of 2 of the other 3 on Saturday. It turns out that when the financial lady at the RI's office called with new diagnosis codes, they decided to only put them on the first invoice! They refuse to do anything with the other 3 until they recieve new codes for them. I was so pissed I hung up on the lady at Quest (I realize it wasn't her fault someone else screwed up, but hormonal rage!). Luckily the financial lady responded to my protal message today (it usually takes her days and me calling/emailing mutliple times to respond) and is calling them again tomorrow.

Other than that I am continuing on with ganirelix, prednisone and supplements and also start lovenox tonight.

@TLooney17‌ sucks you can't cycle in November, but super pumped they can fit you in December! FX that cyst shrinks fast!

@NariaDreaming‌ my RE does transfers a little different too (always 6 day transfers) which I'm a little leery about bc all I read about (and see everyone here talking about) is 3 or 5 day transfers. But her stats are good and she had good reasoning behind it so I'm gonna trust her professional judgement and go with it! I'm starting stims on Sat too with you and @lebradford‌!!!

AFM: took my last BCP today!!!!! Was so excited to throw the pack in the trash, only to get back to my hotel room and find the maid had pulled it out of the trash (placebos were still in there so she prob thought it fell in by mistake). I started laughing when I saw it on the desk, it's back in the trash for try #2 lol

QOTD: French Polynesia with DH and 3 couples that are close friends. We'd stay in one of those huts on the water and just relax!!!

AFM I didn't get a chance to check in Thursday...but last time I checked in DH was going to try to freeze again after the 0 sperm count. Well DH count was 0 again this past week. So as of right now we have had nothing to freeze and had to think about moving forward with this cycle. We decided we're going to give it one last shot and try again this Thursday. If the count is still the same I won't be starting my stims Friday and we'll have to see DH's Uro and figure out a new plan...We may have to wait a few months to try again...I'm still taking Lupron and BCP are done..

Went in this morning for e2 bloodwork. Got the call all is fine. AF is is FULL FORCE today!! Lowered to 10units of lupron this morning and start delestrogen tonight 0.1 and then 0.2 Thursday. This means DH gets to put the needle in my a**!!! He isn't bad. He had to do it for me during IVF #1 for the PIO. I go back next Monday for a e2 check and I think lining check. Lupron has been fine until yesterday and today. I am one crazy BIOTCH!! Already warned DH I can't control my hormones. Have had a headache all day. Just the typical day in the life of IF.

QOTD- I want to travel through Europe. Italy Greece France England Ireland so many places to go and see. Italy would have to be my first choice though. I guess I would have to bring DH since he deals with my craziness!!

This is my fourth night of the meds. Had bloodwork today and they said my estrogen is 104. They are increasing my follistim to 450 and then breaking up the dose tomorrow and Wednesday to 225 in the AM and 225 in the PM. Keeping microdose ovidrel the same. *sigh* More shots. Anyone else really tender in the ovary area? I'm definitely already hurting...maybe it's because I have endo on my ovaries? Thank goodness for Tylenol (although I'm not sure it's doing much).

Been drinking a lot of Gatorade and eating protein. Drank two Ensures today and bought meat snacks to munch on at work.
