@MrsG1019‌ 1) I'm sorry you guys didn't see fireworks after such a long wait! You deserved fireworks! 2) an induction would suck, but a baby on Tuesday would be great! "Tuesdays child is full of grace," you know! Fingers crossed for major progression over the next 48 hours!

@MrsG1019 this is so exciting! I can't wait. Parker and haven't had sex since July. I told him he has to stick it in tonight.... He doesn't seem excited. Lolz!

@runningmama14 and @kyliedaniellexx I'm also in the same boat as you ladies are with being diagnosed with hypertension and on pre-e watch.

Some things that have helped me include:

Lying on my left side (it apparently takes a lot of pressure off of your hard working organs and helps to relax things)
Lighting a eucalyptus candle (the smell makes me feel very relaxed)
Listening to spa music on Spotify
Limiting my screen time - reading a book instead
Taking deep, calming breaths
Trying NOT to think about being stressed about my BP (easier said than done)
Drinking lots of water
Resting - my OB says no more long walks, going to Costco/grocery stores, etc
Limiting work - I stopped on Friday - the difference between my weekend vs. weekday BPs were pretty dramatic
Elevating my feet almost all day long

Just remember this is just, unfortunately, the state of our pregnancies and it's not anything you did wrong. The best thing you can do is try to relax. I know that's hard but it's helped me a lot since I was diagnosed almost a month ago.

@aragosta it's great to see an update from you, I've been thinking about you and Will a lot!

Had a bit of a rough day yesterday - our midwives came to the house to have a chat about our options (baby is breech), and after that I was just overwhelmed, head spinning with all the options and scenarios to think about. DH went to help a friend move during DS' nap time and I just had a total pity party sobfest in the kitchen for a good 20 minutes. Then I stayed up until 11:00pm last night (usually in bed by like 9:30) scaring the shit out of myself watching vaginal breech deliveries on YouTube. Not good.

ETA - ps. @maelara have you had your ultrasound yet to confirm baby's position?

@minibean16 meh... I wasn't expecting fireworks cuz I kept replaying / hearing the doctors voice in my head saying "wow his head is right there, he's so incredibly low" within seconds of checking my cervix .. So of course that combined with the visual of my child being poked in the head was a kill joy. I was ready for it to be over as soon as it started but stuck it thru hoping it would help. I'm sure it would help more if it was a regular occurance. It was definitely like a game of Tetris.. Followed by a "how in the world is this supposed to work" google search afterwards. May give it another to today if I can convince DH.

I have my ultrasound on Tuesday but I don't know when I will get the results. I'll try to sneak a look at the screen and see if I can tell what's going on but if not, then it will be a week from Tuesday. I hate waiting.

@aragosta‌ I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time with being in the nicu. I can't even imagine what you are going through or what you're feeling right now. Then, add PP PUPPS on top of that? Seriously?! That its fair. I'm sorry ( I hope your doctor can help you out!

@MrsG1019‌ my doctor said the same thing. My exact words to Parker, "stick it in, wiggle it around, and cum...." Haha. It won't take him long since it has been forever. I read the semen is suppose to thin the cervix!

Hahaha that's pretty much all I wanted! And the longer it took the more nervous I got for my poor sons head. Hurry up and GTFOOOOOO was all I kept thinking! I wonder if the turkey baster approach would work instead?

I love the snow. Just shocked how early it will be here. I love the want weather but not the humidity.

Hey, are any of you N14 moms planning on CD-ing? We ordered some GMD prefolds yesterday because I didn't think I had enough of my Bummies. I didn't know if anyone had any thoughts. I stalk the CD board on occasion (which is a very active board), but I'm afraid to just jump in.

I plan on CDing as well. I plan on using applecheeks. I stalk the CDing boards too, but don't get involved.

I just want my baby girl to be here all ready...I am done!

I found my first stretch marks under my belly today and then proceeded to bawl. I really really thought I wouldn't get them.

So apparently MIL told DH's brother that we were going to ask him to be the godfather before DH actually got the chance to call. DH was all excited to play him The Godfather soundtrack while we were Facetiming... so we did it tonight and he was like "yeah, mom already told me."

I'm ragey!

@Maelara - they won't even tell you at the u/s if baby is head up or down??! Every u/s I've ever been to has a TV on the wall so you can see, does yours have that? Should be pretty easy for you to tell if the wand is at the top of your belly and there's a head on the screen... lol! If not, that's pretty eff'ed up that they won't tell you - it's not like finding out the sex which is open to interpretation somewhat, it's simply head up or down! Geez, I'm so frustrated for you!

Working 40+ hours a week is killing my energy at this point and I don't see that "burst of nesting energy" happening, so I forced myself to nest today. My house is clean and I feel ready to bring a baby here.
I feel like I deserve a medal or trophy or something. Thatisall.

So I just noticed something strange . . . I decided to shave my legs for the first time in forever (like 4 weeks) bc I want to get a pedicure sometime this week. Except there is no hair, and I mean not even prickles, on my lower legs. The only thing I can conclude is it's the compression socks. I wear em 24-7 accept when I shower. If that's the case I can't say I mind.
