Yep I am up. Reese's immunity numbers didn't come back but all her other numbers are SLOWLY creeping back up on their own today. So hopefully we will be going home in a few days!

Plus we have one of our favorite nurses with us today. I love all of the nurses but there are about 3 or 4 that our outstanding.

We have been up for a while. It's very peaceful for the moment, the big kid and dh are still sleeping, and DS is watching cartoons. I just meal planned and did my grocery list, gonna work on the November calendar now. Sometimes I like to pretend that I am an organized person.

Technically, we've been up since 4:50. I tried to see if DD would go back to sleep, but no such luck. We've had breakfast and now we're on the couch. Poor kid is a bit grumpy.

I'm hoping she gets a good nap because we have to run a bunch of errands later.

Lying in my bed with the toddler watching horrendous nursery rhymes on YouTube. Dh and the baby are snoozing on the couch and had a rough morning so I want to let them sleep ad long as possible. I think we are doing laundry and hanging out with my in-laws today. Not too bad.

I just got breakfast too. Reese was up at 4:30 needing to use the bathroom. She fell back to sleep--then was up at 6 wanting something to drink. She drank a 16 oz water bottle! She wanted milk too--but I told her that once her lullaby cd is over then then the cafeteria food service will be open to get milk.

She fell back asleep waiting and is still sleeping.

What a long weekend! Had friends over for drinks Friday night. I ended up getting pretty drunk which I don't normally do so I was hungover yesterday.. SO was a lot worst then me though so I went to my parents for most of the day so he could get better.
Woke up to my mom calling me yesterday morning in a panic.. I thought something was wrong with the baby but it was our dog, she's ok just has vertigo but they first thought stroke. So after all those events we're doing nothing today! Laundry, football and a good supper.

Sorry to y'all having rough mornings

DS was up a bit early this morning, and the night nursing sessions are still disturbing both of our sleep. My body is trying to wean, I think, but DS is insistent. I just don't have the energy to deal with the midnight meltdowns when I tell him it's not time to nurse. Parenting should be way easier.

Went to an engagement party yesterday where DS got to hyped up playing with other little boys and was out of control. I decided to wear boots with pretty high heels for me (which I am not accustomed to) and during my attempt to calm him down he pushed me and knocked me down. Hello, mortified! So, that was fun.

Plus, I saw my cousin's wife who's due with her first baby in 6 weeks....in effing stilettos!! She's a gorgeous girl, built like a model, and there she is, 8 months pregnant with her belly, trotting around in 6 inch pumps, and I sport 3 inch boots, not pregnant, and I fall on my fat ass.

Win-win day!!

Today I'm not leaving the house.

We have been dealing with lice for a week. Kill me. It wasn't too bad but I've done enough laundry for a lifetime and I find a few nits every time I check DD - she has so much hair. I don't think I have it but we've all used the shampoo, just did round two and doing another round of laundry today. DD was up at 5:20 which sucks but at least I'm already getting this stuff knocked out.

Have to take the dog in to get an infected toenail removed tomorrow, so maybe going to petsmart to get him some treats and toys for his recuperation, poor baby.

Someone else's post just reminded ms we should probably try to carve a pumpkin tonight.

Both boys slept in until 8 today! We went to a neighbor's house last night for a chili cook-off. I came in second, so I was pretty happy. DS1 acted like a fool the entire time. He wouldn't share, cried when another boy wanted to play with him, and threw a fit when it was time to go. I was so embarrassed.

Today we are doing the Breast Cancer walk with DH's aunt and uncle. She was just recently diagnosed so I know it means a lot to her that we are doing it with her.

Up after a long night. I didn't go to bed till nearly midnight bc I stayed up to watch Grays & Parenthood. Then the baby was up twice, which is unlike her, & up for the day at 6. DS was whiney & feverish all night. Hes had random fevers all weekend, but seems fine otherwise. Week 1 at daycare, welcome back bug?

Not sure yet whats on our agenda for today. Church & then either heading to the in-laws for a visit or back home, not sure which yet.

We are having a lazy day, we have a showing for our house at 230. We have had like 9 showings and no offers. We're getting good feedback- people saying it's beautiful and priced right, but no bites. Fingers crossed.

DS and I are up. He's eating breakfast watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while I have coffee. DH is sleeping. I get to go get my first brazilian today. Pray for me. This is gonna hurt like a bitch!

We had dinner with the ILs last night to celebrate SILs bday. I'm side-eyeing her and her comment to me last night. DS was super cranky bc he got a few shots on friday so he wasn't feeling his best, plus he was hungry, plus any gathering with my ILs is ridiculously loud and out of control. My niece and nephew were running around being crazy hyper, my nephew was ripping every single toy out of DS' s hand so I was busy refereeing that, and DS was just generally overwhelmed (we dont see them alot bc they live OOT).

My SIL told me I need to just ignore my cranky child and tune him out...that way he'll eventually stop crying. Ummmm...no.

Age 3 has been the 7th circle of hell. We are a week from age 4 and it does not appear to be improving. I'm sorry. But at least you are not alone! Lol. I hear it will eventually get better.

Yesterday me and another photographer swapped photo sessions for each other. His kids were complete angels. Session went fantastic. Then my kids showed up. Terrors. Not listening running away craziness. I was the mom in the park yelling. So embarrassing!

I was terrified of 3, but I feel like DS is a lot easier now. Don't get me wrong, he's still insane, but I feel like it's easier to nip tantrums in the bud. And he says the cutest shit ever and is obsessed with zookeepers and Niall and the rest of 1D. He's just super fun now.

Today is our neighborhood Halloween party! The fire department brings a truck for them to climb on and the bubble truck comes too. One of my best friends lives in our neighborhood, so it's really fun.

I'm trying to get out the door to go grocery shopping with the kiddos. Obviously not trying too hard because I'm here. DH is going to get some drywall work done. In usual fashion, moon time showed up 12 hours after I POS. Now I have that gross upset belly feeling.

@TyrannosaurusLex‌ I think I have mentioned it before. Kindergarten is the oldest age in. It's totally enclosed with locked gates, booze is ok holiday parties, public spring carnival, and parents have saturday socials to keep it nice. It's an institution around here.

I know you didn't really ask for 3yr old advice, hilarity, but someone said this here once and I think it really helped me with the defiance thing.

I always made him do what I asked 1 way or another and followed through with a consequence. No matter how small the issue is. Like, please put your shoes by the door, DS1. He responds with no and runs around the family room. I ask again and say shoes by the door, or you're going to lose Thomas until after dinner. He still says no, so I pick him and his shoes up to help him deliver them to the correct spot. Then I take Thomas till after dinner and calmly explain why.

He definitely still tests a lot. But I think it's gotten better when I consistently make him do what I ask.

Taking pictures of the boys today for xmas cards. My friend is a photographer and doing a mini session, and she asked for old baby clothes as payment (She's pregnant and I was giving them to her anyways).
It's pouring down rain all day... hopefully we manage at least a couple pics in the rain.

Sent DH & the big girls to church & stayed home with the sleeping baby & feverish DS (not at the moment, but he has been sporadically all weekend so I'm using that card, thanks).

MIL just texted that they wanna come see the kids today. So, its a win that I don't have to go anywhere, but I should probably pick the house up a bit before their visit. Or at least put on a bra.

Home from getting a brazilian wax done. My vag is tingly and and on fire. It hurt like hell, but its totally tolerable and it sure as hell beats shaving! Plus the waxer was super nice, talkative, professional, and she made it such an easy experience. Im sold.

Now DS is protesting lunch. Time to take a nap, kiddo. Mama needs to catch up on her missed episodes of Scandal.

Ugh. We are having battle of the wills here. Reese hasn't wanted to eat in the last 24 hours at all. And in turn is completely exhausted. She had some grapes today.

I took the Ipad away until she eats a bite of something----oatmeal, grapes, hot dog, whatever she wants. Because what has been happening is since it isn't a "normal" meal time in the hospital--she is too busy playing to eat.

Well anyway she told me that she HAS to play the Care Bear game on the Ipad because the Care Bears will be sad without her.

She just isn't herself today at all.
