Good morning ladies. Fingers crossed my mood behaves better than it did yestersay. I'm up, cause appearently leg cramps don't know you can sleep in on the weekends. On the bright side, I'll get a nap today!
I was up at 3 with the dog because he's scared of the wind. I ended up having peanut butter toast and some tea and finally getting back to bed around 5:30. I should clean the house today but I'm not sure how much ambition I have to do that. My cold is in full force now so I might have to join Addison and @FhSTAR81 with their pj movie day.
I think we're going to go to church this morning, and I'll get some baby prep done today. I've been doing some heavy cleaning and organizing over the last few days. I don't think it's nesting, though. I think I'm just trying to trick myself into nesting.
Hey, are any of you N14 moms planning on CD-ing? We ordered some GMD prefolds yesterday because I didn't think I had enough of my Bummies. I didn't know if anyone had any thoughts. I stalk the CD board on occasion (which is a very active board), but I'm afraid to just jump in.
Morning! Excited to read we might have more N14 babies today-birth announcements thread is my fav!
I feel better right now laying in bed with the cats, and not sure what to do today. I wanted to run errands, but afraid of exacerbating things if I truly was having musculoskeletal pain like the doc said. Prob a football and couch day.
@MmmPopcorn - I got the starter pack from gdiapers in small that we're going to try. It comes with disposable inserts (pee ones can be composted and since we're in the country that'll be easy) Want to use the cloth inserts but don't want to invest until we know for sure. I like that they can accommodate both cloth and inserts (helpful for when we visit family out of town is my thinking too)
I haven't been to the CD forum yet but should check it out.
@bethas We have a BOB but it's a double, and we love it! I think your husband did fantastic!
@FhSTAR81 I hope Addison is on the mend! As far as not throwing up I'd seriously be side eying my body and trying not to be absolutely thrilled I hadn't yet for fear of jinxing myself!! I had HG with my first pregnancy and it was utter misery but such a routine! Here's to hoping maybe it's ended a bit early for you?!
@MmmPopcorn We are cloth diapering! I prefer pockets however and don't really know much about prefolds at all! Most of my stash is BumGenius 4.0's, a few Fuzzibunz, and Kawaiis. He won't be able to wear them until closer to two/three months old but I'm kind of happy we won't have to worry about extra wash (not that it's that much at all) while establishing breastfeeding, and getting used to later nights all over again. I cloth diapered my second and learned a ton so this time it hasn't been such a mystery. If you have any questions I miiiiight be able to help!

@FhSTAR81 I hope the nebulizer helps Addison feel a little better.
@bethas well at least the decision has been made and you like the one he got.
@heisenberg I know the feeling about the hangover when we hang out with friends and everyone else drinks I feel the same way in the morning.. So weird. Sorry about your MIL. You both look great in the pic, extra points for even attempting to wear heels!
I am super excited that Football is on so early here today (8:30 am). Yay London game! I am also having lunch with a couple of friends from high school, which will be tons of fun.
Also on a funnier note, when DH and I went to the doc on Wednesday she mentioned that the only thing that will kickstart labor is sex, so yesterday DH in all seriousness says should be put together a sex schedule so that we keep ourselves on track? Lol I love him, I think he feels like it is something he can do to help the process, and he just wants to meet his daughter so bad.
Have a good Sunday Moms, and I will be stalking the announcements like everyone else!!

Oooh, awesome! We have been slowly stocking up on the BG 4.0s because we really want to use the pocket diapers, but the prefolds will hopefully help us out until baby can fit into them. Thanks for the input!
@MmmPopcorn For sure!! Most of my previous stash were BumGenius! Fantastic diapers! This will actually be my first time using some FuzziBunz but a lot of people seem to really love them. Glad there are a few N14 CDing mommas on here!

Morning ladies! Slept awful, of course. Any tips on rolling over and moving positions? It hurts too bad to move, but of course I can't stay comfortable in one spot!
Woke up to a text from my sister! She said, come to the house I am making you breakfast! Yay:) she must be home from college!
Parker is coming to see me today. He said we can go shopping. Whoop whoop!
Ladies, it is way too early for us to be up on a Sunday. (It's only 6:15 here in CA) Sheesh! Is this how it's going to be from here on out? 4 hours of sleep, max?
@heisenberg - Looking good!! Seriously, how do you do that? Heels? I am jealous! and I agree with you about the wedding. If you have to get on an airplane in your ninth month of pregnancy , it's too far. I swear some women forget what it's like to be pregnant.
@sweetbabyrahe - this is so exciting !! I feel like we are anxiously awaiting your LO. Any day now...
@silverwings72 I somehow totally missed the fact that you're in California too! Or maybe I knew and forgot? My brain is seriously lacking over here! I'm loving the quiet! My girls are still sleeping, and my hubs is snoring! Sooo relaxing... Now if only I could sleep!!!

Off today and have every intention of getting our room cleaned and in order. And I need to get the big totes moved out of the living room and rug cleaned so we won't have to worry about it if baby comes soon.Making pancakes for my son, husband, and visitors. I need to go get a yarn needle today so I can finish the baby's hat.
A couple contractions here and there. This week is going to be long, waiting to see if I can make it past the point of my first pregnancy.
Also made a football shaped pancake and am quite proud of myself.
@MmmPopcorn - I'm CDing!! I got my newborn stash used from a local mom, it's all Thirsties prefolds and covers. The prefolds are half hemp and half cotton, so I'll be using them again as overnight stuffing when Munchkin starts leaking through plain microfiber. Other than that, we're going with Charlie Bananas as a cheaper option than BumGenius. Target carries Charlie Bananas so it's on my registry and with the completion coupon they get even more affordable. I've yet to actually purchase them, but CB have a 7 stage leg elastic to change sizes, rather than the 3 step snap rise. They do better on newborns and I'm imagining that getting a good fit is easier with 7 options as opposed to 3. The CD forums are sorta helpful... but last time I posted over there I got the Newb Gif treatment.
I was up all night except for the times I had weird dreams about us having twins, but that H was pregnant with the other twin. I also was awakened by contractions that made me very sick to my stomach. I had only 3 like that all night, but are contractions supposed to make you nauseated? Not like I'm already not nauseated from just being pregnant.
I might be joining the PJ day. H doesn't feel like going to church and I'm not finding the energy to talk him into it.
I'm sorry, I'm still laughing hysterically at your dream!
We are taking DS to Zoo Boo this afternoon. My parents, brother, sil, and niece's are coming too. Super excited to see all three kids all dresed up. DS loves the zoo and I can't wait to get a picture of him on the train that takes you around the zoo because he is a train conductor for Halloween!
@MmmPopcorn, we cloth diaper. Ds was in them for 2yrs till we potty trained 8wks ago. We only used pockets so no experience with pre-folds.
With DS we had 24 GoGreen 4.0 Champs and did wash every other day when he was an infant. Started using them at about 2.5wks old when his cord stump had fallen off and fully healed. We added 20 Alva Color Snap 4.0's to our stash this time so we can stretch out to washing every 3-4 days. Having 2 little ones to take care of now I don't want to wash as often. Ds uses Grovia Pull Up Trainers over night as we still have some overnight accidents but didnt want to put him in a true diaper since he is 100% in underwear during the day.
Choosing types of CD that will work for your family and lifestyle can be a bit overwhelming at first. We found a local cloth diaper boutique and took a 2hr class on all the differnet types, how to uae them how to care for them, etc. It was super helpful in getting my DH to buy into CD'ing because he was on the fence and also helped us be confident that we were stocking up on the right type for our families needs.
@FhSTAR81 Glad to hear Addison is doing better! Enjoy your PJ day!
@lizzielu82 Pumpkin cheesecake sounds amazing I might have to find some today.
@bethas Glad to hear DH figured out the seat situation! Choosing seats was a pain for us, too.
It feels very surreal to have made it to 36 weeks today. Our little ladies are so close to being considered full term! Having some cramps off & on, but nothing painful or regular. Aside from that... just feeling massive & awkward? +1 to team waiting game.
Was up til midnight last night, slept alright til someone decided it was a good idea to wake me up via text at 7:20 on a Sunday morning and I've been up ever since. sssooooo im super ragey/tired. Plus, last night I had contractions on and off for a couple hours and just feel weird today. Hubby was awesome though and bought McD's breakfast for me this morning. Im with everyone else on staying in pjs but Im watching football allllllll day
I just slept the longest I have in months! Utter exhaustion I believe...SD's birthday weekend kicked my ass. I got about 11 hours with only one pee break. Damn that was awesome.
All these babies are crazy! I am still in denial that my due date is 3 weeks away. I have no signs of anything going on. People are already asking me if I think it will be soon. I reply with yeah....soon....as in the next 3 weeks.
My goal is to do as little as possible today. I need to get reacquainted with my couch. Right now though I am going to cook bacon and pancakes for SD and her friends that slept over. Mmmmm.....pancakes....
Happy Sunday funday everyone!

@MmmPopcorn we plan on CD, too. I was able to get pockets second hand but never used and then we went ahead and got some Osocozy prefolds. We wanted to try both to see which we liked better, but I have to say I'm a little more excited about the prefolds. We'll see if that changes after LO gets here.
@FhSTAR81 FX so hard that the HG might have eased up or be done! My mom had it with me for 9 months but the two weeks I was "post term" it completely went away so it's possible.
@smboswell1 An N14 mama posted about turning over onto your stomach instead of back and that has been a HUGE help for me.
@AnnieRoo13 I hope your cold goes away quickly and in the meantime you get a relaxing day in PJs.
@MmmPopcorn I am planning to CD and got a mix of prefolds, GMDs, Bummies, and some Thirsties to see what works best for us. And I got a mix of covers (Thirsites, Econobums, Bummies) since I know that is where fit comes into play the most. When I was researching prefolds those three brands tended to be the top rated ones. And I wanted to avoid microfiber like the plague because it tends to have more issues (smell, absorbency) and isn't as good for babies skin. Still have to prep all the diaper supplies though...
@ClrkKntismyAE I really just don't understand. What was their rationale? And why did they initially just sit there?
Finally got up at 10am this morning, but still exhausted from the gym yesterday. How can 50 minutes on the elliptical make me soo, incredibly tired? I was going super slowly, took a nap afterward, and am still exhausted from it. No gym today...
Went out for Ethiopian food with hubby last night, which was awesome, exactly what I felt like. Making bacon and pumpkin pancakes for breakfast.
The "wishing for early labor thread" has gotten a little out of control, but yesterday when baby stopped moving for several hours I definitely started to think I might be more comfortable with her on the outside where I can at least tell that she's still alive. Luckily hubby reassured me that she was fine, just tired from the gym, and that I should relax.
I'm really wishing I had been bitten by the nesting bug. Where is this burst of energy? I managed to get groceries and clean the bathrooms and kitchen, but now I feel utterly exhausted and lazy.
@SarahMaureenF I'm with you on the cold. Why would the universe allow us to get sick at 9 months pregnant? Seriously not fair.
@howin23 mmmm Ethiopian food! Jealous! Also I take full blame for that thread getting out of hand. Silly me.
Totally forgot to get BIL a birthday gift yesterday while shopping. I'm so dumb. We have a family dinner tonight and him and DH and we don't have a gift. Any last minute suggestions for a really hard to buy for 34 year old man??? Budget around $50.
I just watched GoT: The Red Wedding. I am officially pissed. This is exactly why I didn't want to start watching that show and now I can't stop...
I broke my rule and named one stranger baby. I'm proud of myself and feel like I should be listed on the birth certificate.
@carolineheider how do you freeze apple crisps?
After the babies are all here, I'd really like to see a cloth diapering thread to know how it's really going. I've never heard of it or well how popular it is until TB. I just have a lot of questions about it. But I'll save them for now.
Wrt cloth diapering, I actually know a lot of people who do it. Sooooo not for me, but I think it's more common than we think.
I am trying to trick myself into nesting, too! lol. I was out on the balcony in the pouring rain yesterday.... in my nightgown... washing windows.... Trying to flip The Switch. (Still not flipped.... but at least my windows are clean?)
As for CDs... I got a few things from GMD. Prefolds, workhorses, and some flats (looking forward to seeing what I like best). Then I got covers from Blueberry and a couple of cheapies from Assunta. I also have a few BG AIOs.
Babies in our family get out of diapers quickly so I think I will be able to sell our NB and "slightly older baby" stashes easily as they will be in good shape. I actually went to the CD board early in this pregnancy but they thought I was a little nutters.
@bethas BUDDY! Maybe LO just didn't want to inconvenience you by coming before you got your travel set. Get DH (I know... Harder than it sounds!) to put it in the car so you're all ready, and maybe we'll have our FOURTH baby watch of this day!
@FhSTAR81 is that jello still down? I think the universe just thought one sick "Star" family member at a time was enough!
I'm with all the non-nesters. I'm at the "OMG NOTHING IS DONE!!" freak out stage, but still have no motivation to do it, though.
I do have my shower today, so I'll have to do some work afterwards. I hope I'm more motivated than 'just shove it in a drawer.'
I may be motivated for pancakes after this thread!!
Kllopez1221 Thanks . It's not so bad at this point, I'm used to it, and only a little over a week to go before I can hopefully switch to the pill form! (FX everything progresses this week when I go for my appt).
FhSTAR81 Hope you and your LO both feel better today!
ClrkKntismyAE - that seems so random and like total overkill, even if it was a bad neighborhood. I would have been a hot mess! I get anxious going through checkpoints let alone being asked to get out of the car!
Definitely in a nesting mood! I washed all of baby boy's clothes yesterday and they have all been put away. I deep cleaned everything, rearranged his closet, and his dresser (twice). His crib is put together and car seat installed (going to take it to the fire station sometime this week to make sure it is in correctly). And at 11 last night I was still ready to go.
Trying to apply that getting everything ready for work, as this is still planned to be my last week. Getting all my grades in so on my workday on Wednesday I can finish getting my maternity leave binder ready. My sub (thank goodness a certified person and NOT the person who was in my classroom while I was out with the blood clot) is coming on Monday and Tuesday to meet the kids, meet me, and see how things are run. Got a lot to do before next week!
I'm really wishing I had been bitten by the nesting bug. Where is this burst of energy? I managed to get groceries and clean the bathrooms and kitchen, but now I feel utterly exhausted and lazy.

The last few times we've been in this predicament we've stopped by a growler filling station and purchased an inexpensive growler filled with craft beer. Tie a bow on it and voila - $30 for a neat gift, and he can keep the growler to refill on his own later. We've just started getting some decent filling stations around here so you may have to google to see if there are any around you if this is something you think he would like. Are you in Ottawa? I know you're in Canada but I'm sorry I don't remember where. https://www.ottawabeerevents.ca/growlers-in-ottawa.html
@KUinCBUS - big hugs to you >:D< You have had a pretty stressful last 24 hours with DH being sick and going to the hospital. Try not to be too hard on yourself. You and your husband will figure it out when the baby comes, and DD will adjust. Try not to focus on the future right now, just be in the present. Easier said than done, I know
Me in my best Mom voice- (I use the voice on prisoners and it seems to work pretty good!) - Take it easy on yourself today. You are not superwoman! You are carrying a child inside of you for crying out loud! Now, take some deep breaths and focus on one thing to accomplish today.
I'm trying to get the motivation to pack my hospital bag. 37+5 and I'm avoiding packing because then she'll come. I really want 2 more weeks at school and also so then my parents will have been able to get moved into their weekend house by us and projects done.
Hello fellow randos! I've missed some of the daily threads this week, so I'm a little behind.
@emw87 I missed the day the doc ruined team green, but saw you mention it late on. That sucks! Glad you seem to be taking it in stride.
On CDing- we will be cding, mostly with bumgenius. I do have some hybrid fitteds and overnight dipes that are super cute and work really well. Just not sure how practical they will be for my family. The pul diapers seem to be a lot more acceptable to childcare providers.
I posted earlier this week about having some complications, but didn't go into detail. I was kinda in denial and hoped not talking about it would make it go away :-)
I've had borderline bps since August and have been checking my bps 3x a day and shoot checking my urine for protein at least once a week since then. Monday my bps went just over 140/90 and stayed that way through Tuesday. I went to l&d Tuesday afternoon (36w 3d) and the resident wanted to induce me like immediately. I declined until all the labs came back. I stayed overnight, all my labs were normal and my bps went back down to just below 140/90.
Now I'm diagnosed with pregnancy induced hypertension. At this point, they don't want me to go past 39 weeks, so if i hang in there, I'll be induced in 2 weeks. If at any point my bps get too high for too long or my lab work shows changes or I get symptoms, I'll be bumped up to pre-e and induced immediately.
I'm bummed because I just want baby to be able to come when it's ready. I get how dangerous bp issues are, so I'm not going to do anything stupid, but still. I was hoping for a med free birth at my hospital's birth center. I can't even get my mw or new high risk doc to tell me if i can go to the birth center still.
Anyways, long rambling here. Sorry. I'm just hoping i make it to 38w6d and go into labor on my own :-)
@kyliedaniellexx - ah man, it sucks doesn't it? Are you trying things to help keep it lower? I'm soaking in epsom salt soaks for 20 mins 2x/day, taking time to lay on my side a few times through out the day, and I started going to acupuncture. I also started evening primrose oil and raspberry leaf tea to help make myself more favorable for induction.
Hang in there!
Eta- on the shower date- i thought i was going to miss mine yesterday! Fortunately, I made it. Maybe you can have a sip and see? :-)
@runningmama14 I'm sorry your BP problems continued. Hopefully your labs stay within normal range. In the meanwhile, I hear snuggling with adorable fur-babies can help lower BP - think you have access to any little critters??
The nicu is hard being told when and how to parent my baby makes me fucking Stabby. I'm his mommy I know what's best for him. Even though clearly he's in the nicu for a reason. I just want him to come home.
Big hugs. Even though it's frustrating, I hope you're getting to see Will often. How has he been progressing?
Morning Ladies!!! This board sure is active for a Sunday -- just caught up on everything and love tited along the way! Too many to tag but hugs & love to those who've had a tough couple of days! I can't believe we have 3 babies on the way today.. It's getting REALLY REAL!!!
I'm still here trying to induce labor (I know... Hot topic after seeing that other thread) but since little man has once again stopped growing (for 3 weeks now) doctor will likely induce on Tuesday if I don't go into labor on my own by then. She was convinced I wouldn't last more than a few hours after last Tuesdays membrane sweep (she choose to do that as an attempt at labor to avoid induction). I've had tons and tons and tons of contractions. Seems like they're pretty much always 15 min apart, all day, every day -- but my dilation has stalled out at 3-4 cm. Even managed to convince DH to try sex (not nearly as magical as I was expecting it to be after having abstained for 36 weeks, lol go figure!) Thursdays L & D visit had me convicted it was to time... But nope. Unless my contractions progress me past the 3-4 cm dilation(or water breaks/there are BP issues) L & D won't keep me. So boo... Unless something happens within 48 hours it looks like I'm headed towards holding a baby by mid week via an induction. Either way the end result and his health are worth it!
@aragosta that's great news that he's eating! I'm a FTM, so I 'know not of what I speak,' but make sure you're taking care of yourself too. Good luck, tomorrow: enjoy every snuggle with your little man!
Re: Sunday Randoms
So excited for some more N14 babies to arrive today!
38 weeks today and officially passed the point where I had DS and am the most pregnant I've ever been
Fingers crossed my mood behaves better than it did yestersay.

Me in my best Mom voice- (I use the voice on prisoners and it seems to work pretty good!)
- Take it easy on yourself today. You are not superwoman! You are carrying a child inside of you for crying out loud! Now, take some deep breaths and focus on one thing to accomplish today.
Hope that helps :P
Sorry. I'm just hoping i make it to 38w6d and go into labor on my own :-)
Hang in there!
Eta- on the shower date- i thought i was going to miss mine yesterday! Fortunately, I made it. Maybe you can have a sip and see? :-)
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
