Carrying REALLY Low

Good golly. This may be a stupid question, but is anyone else carrying really low? He hangs out barley above my pubic bone. And stays there. Sometimes when he kicks, it's down right uncomfortable. With DD I don't remember her ever being that low..... Come on kid, there's more space up north!

Re: Carrying REALLY Low

  • I'm carrying high but, my friend's little girl was ready to come out at like 20 weeks. Her head was literally sitting as low as possible. She said it was extremely uncomfortable. Hope it gets better. :(

  • I have been carrying low the entire time. I think my baby is transverse and laying across my public bone, its annoying because it kicks my bladder and my cervix all. the. time. I am hoping it turns soon!
  • I have as well but this morning he seems to have scooted up higher... He still loves my right side though... I don't think he has ever even considered the left

I retract my "me too" & say that everything @erobbins09‌ has said is accurate for me as well.
  • Mine also seems really low! As a ftm I'm not sure what's normal but I often feel him moving below my waistline and kicking my bladder and cervix. Sometimes he's higher though, like right now I feel him near my belly button.
  • Sounds like most of the carrying low are boys! I swear mine is a girl though (Team green yo)
  • My little girl seems to be hanging pretty low. Constantly kicking/punching my bladder which almost has a ticklish feeling to it... Or like I'm about to pee myself. Occasionally she moves for a bit, but that's for sure her favourite spot. I'm a tall girl with a long torso, find another angle!!! Lol
  • TMI type exaggeration. Some days this girl pushes so low I feel like I touch her when I wipe. She's pushed so far down on occasion that I can't physically move around until she does. Usually I just deal with crotch and bladder kicks all day. I can actually tell that her head is net to my left hip and her feet rest under the right side of my ribs. She doesn't take up the whole space but she does enjoy stretching out when she's awake.

  • Snap. He's getting bigger alright, cause it's getting so painful. Especially those kind off inside ones.
  • @Mommalawyer‌ I just snorted and nearly peed myself! Oh the good old days of being able to see our vaginas! Hahahaha!

  • My little girl likes to stay really low. The only times she moves is when they are trying to monitor her heart rate at the doctor's office. She wants to have nothing to do with that at all so she will move up to avoid it.
  • My girl likes to hang out super low, too.  When I feel her move, it's usually around the line just above my pubic bone, and I get frequent kicks to the cervix.  I'm hoping she'll move around more at some point, although the idea of having to remove a foot from my ribcage is less than thrilling...
  • My girl is super low and it's downright painful. I've found that a support belt helps a LOT.
Oh course my boy is high and in my ribs. Fun times.....

  • My girl is also super low, but breech...so the pressure of her ass is horrible. I had this exact same thing with DD, who dropped at 28 weeks and became so wedged the doctor knew she wouldn't flip. Looks like I have a repeat offender in there I just hope this one doesn't cause me to dilate like my first.

That's funny you mention that. If I touch my belly when he's wiggling around, he just keeps doing his thing. If anyone else does, he's not having it. Heartbeat monitor included!

  • DS was really, really low- one of the reasons most people thought it was a boy (OWT).  I'm carrying higher this time around so folks are guessing girl.

Good luck!  Those bladder kicks/bounces aren't fun.

  • I'm carrying super low. I can feel him kicking my hips and I can literally feel him rolling on my bladder. I'd be more okay with it if my heartburn wasn't so bad. Worse than my last pregnancy and she was all up in my ribs.
  • Baby A is head down and his head is right by my cervix. He moves a lot & it seriously feels like he's in my vagina.

  • I feel like these two are lying pretty low. I often have some aching and soreness low down in my pelvis. Clearly they're getting bigger since I can feel kicks near my belly button too, but a lot of pressure and movement is still pretty low down.

  • My girl is really low and almost entirely on the left. She's pretty much in line with my pelvic bone. SO will put his hand on my stomach and I'm like, "Yeah, you won't feel a thing there." Her movement though is usually just against my belly. So far.
  • kismetjess  same here, except having a boy this time but he's currently head up....hoping he turns soon - I have to pee all the time he's so low
  • Boy here and he's right under my belly button. The punches to my pelvic area are strange. I have all the room up north but he's just like no I'm down here. Also head down. Ekkkk hope he's not ready to come to early. 23 weeks Wednesday!!
  • I'm not but I really feel sorry for you!  I remember when DD1 dropped and it was extremely uncomfortable and painful to carry her.  It really sucks that you have that already!  Move, kid!

  • Okay I saw the title and my brain went straight to the kids song "do your ears hang low" but my head was saying "do your kids lay low? Do you waddle to and fro?" Raegan in lower that my DD and my DS for sure but I think it's because she baby 3 and lord does she love my right side.

  • I never had any issue with mu daughter. But I feel all of your pain I'm having a son now and I'm 6mo and it's as if he has no idea there is more room up above. And he is very active at night pray that this gets better 2.4.15
  • My little guys is hanging out low feet down.  I too feel like I will wipe and feel a foot.  Here's my main issue though.  As I've mentioned in the past I had surgery when I was younger on my bladder and kidneys.  My surgery scar is in the exact place where a CS scar is.  He's been kicking right underneath my scar and it is the most painful thing.  My scar is extremely sensitive to any touch even though it been over 20 years since my surgery.  Any STM that had CS having the same issue???

  • So glad to see I'm not the only one getting sucker punched down below- my boy has been low the whole time. The closest I've gotten to a kick above was still 2 inches below my belly button. Why won't they move up! I certainly look like I got plenty of room in there
