@rslh10 HSG done! It was surprisingly manageable, the 800 mgs of Ibuprofen certainly helped. Preliminary review from the dr said everything looked good (lining good, no obvious fibroids, ect) so my break through bleeding and short Luteal phase wasn't answered but at least there's no glaring problems in my ute!
Yay for a clean happy ute! (Also, is this so creepy it's cute or just creepy?)
@McSarah1104 Can I join your black hole of Anger? I did Cytotec (3 doses) 2 weeks ago and I barely bled too. I'm now on Day 14. The doctor is making me wait it out. I am so sick and tired of it.I don't feel like myself or a normal human even but I have to go to work and do all the things like I am. Ready for it to be over and in retrospect, regretting I didn't do the D&C either. I hope that yours doesn't go as long as my ordeal. Thinking of you lady!

COME ON IN! OMG I think I would lose my shit if they made me 'wait it out' I did the cyotec/misoprostol twice last time and it still didn't work, it took like 8 weeks, I don't have that kind of time right now, but I am concerned about the amount of time I have to wait after a D&C.
Yell-y Side note: IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR A GIF OF A MINE CART DESCENDING INTO HELL? this is what I want to represent the anger hole and it's making me angry that I can't find it.
afm Still feeling very new to this idea of TTC AL. I am waiting for AF to arrive and will have three cycles before trying again.
Can I ask a newbie question? I was talking to a close friend this weekend who has had a few mc's. I told her that I plan to go to my gp soon for testing. She recommended requesting every test to see what could have caused this. I know that just over a year ago this gp diagnosed me with deficiencies in B12 and D. At the time I was just a hair above anemic. With daily supplements, my level was farther above anemic and more safe/healthy. What should I ask for and how to say it?
QOTW: I hope that DH and I get some work done on the house. We have ripped up our carpeting. Our next step is to repaint the walls. Then we are going to put in new floors- probably wood.
Have you been seen by an RE? I'm just going to assume no because this is your second loss, and most don't take you until you've suffered 3, or have an infertility diagnosis of some sort. I feel that I need to page @petrastonegirl here to answer your question more thoroughly. (Petra- I'm paging you because I feel like you always give amazing advice and really explain things well! I hope you don't mind!) I don't feel like I have the proper answer to this question. I was seen by an OB that refused to test me for anything after only 6 months of trying (I felt in my heart something was wrong), so I found an OB that tested my amh, and found that it was low. So then, I was considered to have an infertility diagnosis and was able to get into my RE. I'm not exactly sure how RE's work as this is the first time I will be seeing one, so hopefully Petra will be able to answer this better for you. ((hugs))
Have you really talked to your OB about this? I had told them a few months in that we were having some trouble and might like testing and they just let it go. When I called after 9 months of trying and said I needed to speak to the OB/gyn, we had a great conversation and that's when they decided to run some blood work. It was mostly because I knew what to ask for and they were agreeable to it. There are some basic tests they can run just to see what is going on. Before I was referred to the RE my OB did testing on my progesterone levels and FSH levels. Then before I even saw the RE they ordered testing for AMH, and a few other things. I would simply ask them for some simple testing as recommended above. (AMH, FSH, progesterone, etc). I had to get a referral from my OB to go to the RE because of insurance reasons. If you have questions about specific tests let me know.
@crimpgirl and @mustlovedogs63 we should definitely keep each other motivated! I'm mainly a long distance runner (or was before I really cut back during the pregnancy/loss business). I'm supposed to run a half at the end of November but that may be a little ambitious. I ran a 4 and a 5 so far this week, definitely slower than I was running!
@mustlovedogs63, we could be sisters, it's too funny. BTW, does your name mean you have dogs? We have two golden retrievers

@mustlovedogs63 Yes we are just starting our next "block" this week. I'm happy to be leaving embryology behind (at least until I need it for board exams). And I can't speak from first hand experience either but from what I gather being a med school spouse (as we say in my school) can be equally stressful because you all have to support us and that is no easy task as I'm sure you know! I know I couldn't do it without my husband's support and I'm sure your husband feels the same. I admire the spouses and SOs so much as well.
@rslh10 Thank you! This has been my life's dream and it's still a little surreal for me. Sometimes I'll be sitting in lecture and look around and think "Wow, I'm HERE." And as for my cycle, I just had an LH surge this morning so I texted my husband to rally the troops. We'll see!

@breaker0506 congrats in being done with the first block of med school. Do you take all your tests in one block? We used to have these test blocks where we'd take all our tests in one week then nothing for about 6 weeks. It was crazy but so nice that first week after test block was over. I can only imagine what it did to my body!

@nikiswimr Thank you! We actually have one subject per block so we just finished clinically oriented anatomy/embryology. Now we're one Bio of Cells and Tissues and we'll be there until sometime after thanksgiving. So it's nice not to have everything be longitudinal but then we also have major exams every two weeks or so...pressure's on all the time lol! But I am taking a more zen approach to BCT to try and keep the ovaries happy!
