Baby Boy Name Poll

My boyfriend is pretty set on Donald Wayne III but I'm not sure if the name suits this day and age. I told him I would be happy to keep the middle name, however. There are a few others that I like but I just can't decide between them. Any suggestions?

Re: Baby Boy Name Poll

  • I like Donald. It's my FIL's name and he's amazing. It was going to be one of our names if we had a boy this time.

  • I like Jackson, but voted for Nathan (which I also like) because I think Jaxon is silly. If you really like Jaxon, consider Jacob, which is what my phone autocorrected Jaxon to. Siri, for the win!

  • Nathan or Joshua

  • I agree with the previous posters. I cringed a little at the spelling of Jaxon and I'm not a fan of Faylen. I like the spelling Jackson, but think it may be a too popular right now.

I voted for Nathan because it was on our short list for boy names before we found out we were having a girl. I also like Joshua just not quite as much as Nathan.

Do you like the nick name "Nate"? That may come up if you do end up choosing Nathan.

    Good luck!

At this moment SEVEN PEOPLE have voted for Jaxson or Faylen.

    Who ARE THOSE PEOPLE???

We don't know you're the one with the special powers!
One if the other threads had a Jaxson on it so my guess is that she was one of them. I wish I could remember which thread.

Found it, holy cyst batman is using this name.

  • Honestly some of you are coming off a bit rude. I appreciate the input but all the names here are on the list for a reason. Faylen is a unique name that has special meaning to my boyfriend and I, and Jaxson is a favorite of my Mother's. Also, we would be calling him Jax.

With that being said, Nathan IS one of my top two favorites out of the list, but I would appreciate it if some of you commenting would take the feelings of the actual parents-to-be into account.
  • Wow. I was only asking which names were proffered, not if it "made your ears bleed" or other uncalled for comments. I thought this was a place for support, but I have learned my lesson. Thank you to all that were able to be respectful and not take personal offense to the name suggestion of someone else's child. As for the chill out comment, I've been nothing but calm about the situation. Last time I checked, you were the one throwing a fit about the potential names. I simply stated that those names are special to us for specific reasons and you should be more respectful of that.

And if I saw a teacher roll her eyes or laugh at the name of my child I would definitely be making some

  • Phone calls.
  • Okay, thanks for your opinions, rude or not. At least I know how not to treat a hormonal mommy-to-be. ;)
  • Since you're on now, is there a specific reason you dislike Donald Wayne? You didn't say much but it sounds like it's important to your bf to pass on his family name.

  • I see nothing wrong the name Donald Wayne, I like the idea of a third, I was just thinking about how it would do in this day and age. I mean obviously there aren't many kids running around with name Donald right now.

I think that makes it better. It's a solid name, it means a lot to your partner. You could also nickname Donny if you wanted something a little "cuter" for a kid.
I feel the same way. It's got a cute nickname and is still a good, strong, professional name for an adult. I think it's just the right level of unique without being odd.

I honestly don't know of any kids running around with the name Faylen, either. Just throwing that out there.

Nathan and Joshua are my top picks.
  • I would think a kid names Donald has a lot better name then all the nevaeh and faylens of the world. Can you imagine when the uuuuunneke children of the world get together and start naming their kids? I predict a whole lot of good old fashioned names since they know the struggles of the snowflake generation.
  • I would love honest opinions! I don't love rude comments that go beyond what was asked for and borderline insulting. I understand that some of you don't like a name or spelling of a name but that doesn't mean you have to be rude when expressing that.

Anyway, it's obvious we all can't be respectful adults here so I'm just going to move on.

Nathan is my favorite. Donald is probably going to be my second choice. I'm really not feeling Joshua to be honest, and Faylen was never in my top three to begin with but here we are arguing about it anyway. LOL. That's the internet for you.

  • Don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you!
  • Putting it out there on the internet and asking opinions is going to get you exactly that, although, stooping to the level of "its obvious we can't be respectful adults" is equally snarky.
  • Oh so now it's not okay for me to voice my own opinions? Lol this is insane.

I never said I was going anywhere btw, I'm just not going to worry about your so called "snarky" comments.

At the end of the day I really don't care if you like the name choices or not because all I wanted was to have a poll and see which names came out on top. But feel free to keep the comments coming, I assure you my feelings won't be hurt. =))

    I don't get you.
  • You don't have to or need to. Thanks for that though :)
  • You don't care what you think so you make a poll to see what name we like best?! Huh? Are you drunk?

  • Dear god ANYTHING but Jaxson and Faylen.

I picked Nathan because it was our second choice behind Henry. Joshua is very nice! If not for my intense love of Nathan it would get my vote.

Donald is not my style but a solid, good name! It would be a lovely choice, particularly since it would be a III situation which I always like.

Jaxson and Faylen make my ears bleed, though.
This. The last two are horrible.

  • I don't care about the negative feedback on the names, the point of this poll was to get to a top three. I'm thankful for the feedback and understand that Faylen and Jaxson aren't in that top 3. Regardless, it's my choice what to name my son. But a simple " I don't care for this name" would have sufficed.

For those of you retching at the name Faylen, good for you. It was just an option. I feel bad for you that it bothers you so much that you feel the need to be nasty about it.
  • It sounds like you've gotten a great top 2 out of this thread. So congrats.

    @KristinMTBell‌ I applaud you.

  • Good one. The only butthurt here is from the people who think I actually care about what they have to say. So you think it's horrible? Great, it's not your kid. And honestly every one of you are ignoring the fact that Faylen wasn't even my top choice anyway.
  • What do your children and husbands have anything to do with this?
  • I thought you where leaving? If everyones so terrible why keep even posting?

  • I didn't call anyone rude that only said they didn't like it. I wanted that kind of feedback. What is rude is saying things like "it makes my ears bleed" and so on. Everyone else decided to get "butthurt" when I asked for a little respect. We aren't 15 years old here, at least I hope not.
