I had my 29 week appointment this morning and everything was good. Relief.
Also got my Tdap shot. Hurt like a bitch.
Now my back is killing me and I need the weekend NOW. Is it true that we turn the clocks back this weekend? If so, that is a beautiful gift.
I got my TDaP on Tuesday and it still hurts. :( But intramuscular shots tend to be worse for me because of my fibromyalgia. I hope yours feels better sooner!
It still hurts?! OMG. My doctor said this could definitely hurt for a couple of days. I was just surprised how much the actual shot hurt. Now I just feel like I got punched in the arm.

I have a random question, instead of a random comment. ( Because of the recognizable avatars/screen names posts and comments.)

Is my avatar too generic for any of you to recognize me?

Is my screen name unique enough?

Also, I have been thinking of changing my avatar. I was planning on doing an updated u/s pic but think I should do something else. Would you all rather see a photo of me, of my DS or of a character/image that I like?

     ETA: Wording

    Name is fine.

Avatar I would make something that you really like. There are tons with ultrasound pictures and it is hard impossible to tell the difference between people. Pic of you and/or DS is great, but I am sure you will want to update after baby and thus that will change your picture making it unrecognizable for a bit. I would use your signature for those pics!

Thank you for the advice. I changed it to a photo of myself, my son and my niece. It shows the change on my profile, but does not show it in the comments I've made in threads.

Hopefully it works, and hopefully people aren't confused about the avatar change.

I can see the new avatar.

  • Gosh darn neighbors' landscaping crews. Like anything is growing around here still and the noise wakes the baby I am sitting. They are ripping of these neighbors for sure. Just blow your damn leaves until late November then come back in April. That is all.

  • These sweet potato recipes look so good - I can't decide which to try first.

  • Baby girl keeps flipping/moving into uncomfortable positions. I have doubts as to whether or not she is in the head down position, but I know it is still a little early to really worry about that. However, she just moved/shifted/flipped about two hours ago and now it feels like she is going to burst out of my right side. It is not painful per say, but incredibly uncomfortable.

I am slightly concerned with my glucose test being in the late afternoon next week. I need to remember to watch my sugar in take throughout the day. My last one was early in the morning, so I didn't have to think about what I ate during the day.
I had mine a couple weeks ago at 2pm.  I ate oatmeal, some nuts, an apple & some cheese during the day, but stopped eating by 11:30 or so.  And I passed.  I was nervous too.  I would say don't go crazy & eat a bunch of sugar, but if you eat normally throughout the day I don't think it should affect it.
  • I really wish DD would get over this need to have up help her hold her sippy cup of milk.  I didn't realize 2.5 could still be as needy as newborn...

Also, the beeper on my oven went off, so the oven is preheated, but I want to finish catching up on the threads I haven't read all day since I've been out of the house...  Even though I REALLY should put the salsa chicken in the oven...

  • I am sooooooo over this third trimester morning sickness thing. Anything and everything seems to be making me puke. I'm living off of saltine crackers and chicken soup :( lame
  • I swear my family is suffering from baby brain worse than I am! Yesterday I couldn't find the milk. DH had put it in the pantry instead of the fridge. To be fair he's gone from working nights to waking up at 4:30 am to get to school for his final year of his apprenticeship.

Then my mom manages to screw up measurements on the crib bedding three times in a row... On the same piece each time. I finally just had to take the tape measure from her.

I thought I was the one who's supposed to be doing these things?! :)

  • DS is a back seat driver. "not this way mommy!" "No, don't go up the hill."

I have no idea. It's perturbing

  • This is totally random but when I hear the song With Arms Wide Open by Creed, I think about my LOs and it is nearly impossible for me not to get emotional. I'm not a big Creed fan or a big crier but man, it gets me every time!

I will leave it here in case you would like to listen but I'm warning you, goosebumps and/or tears may occur!

  • I cannot explain how happy I am to be home on the couch right now. I may never get up.

There's a really easy way to break her of that habit...just don't hold it for her ;)
I try not to.  DH accommodates it and I suffer.

Same in a way. She tells me constantly "go mommy green light!" I can't tell her enough "honey that's for the cars going a different way. We're waiting on the light in front of us."

E, L, and G ask me why I am not driving in the "empty lanes" when we are sitting in traffic.  "Because those lanes are only for cars going the other direction, like I told you last time"

Yes. DS' s most epic tantrums usually stem from us turning left when he desperately wanted to turn right. There's no reasoning with the little beast.
