Dumb first time mom question. Do any of you feel/see kind of rhythmic movements from baby? I'm pretty sure it's his back that is moving based on what his position has been for a while... rhythmic movements make me nervous that he's having a seizure or something. I know he's probably fine, but working in the NICU makes me freak out sometimes. I should add it's only rhythmic for 15-30 seconds before he starts moving all over again... I took a video of it today to show my OB and the perinatologist at my appointments Tuesday, but it would make me feel better if others were experiencing the same thing.

@BridgetThoams I was just going to rant about the stork parking! I'm impressed that you only now started using it, as I've found it very helpful when it's available. Today the store was packed and I went head to head with another woman to get the spot, and she won. I just knew she wasn't pregnant from her expression. I had to park clear across the lot.

So I found her in the store and nope, not pregnant, no kids in tow, likely past child-bearing age but certainly not elderly or handicapped. Foreign, and not speaking english, but that is not an excuse! Today was the first day that I really needed it and I'm still fuming about it =/.

My go to was to choose a neutral paint color and paint the entire house that color. I chose a pretty light gray. In each room I chose a different color palette to accent the gray! Super super simple and you can change the colors anytime without having to move furniture and repaint.

Oh my gosh...another school shooting just happened in Seattle. This is one of my biggest fears as a mom. So many prayers going out to the students, parents and teachers.

I don't really have any ideas because I, too, am not very creative. I see things I love but get anxiety at the thought of trying to do it myself.

@howin23 Thats why i never used them till now, I never wanted to be the annoying barely showing pregnant woman or doesn't even look pregnant lady taking the spot of someone who clearly needs it more than I do!!!! But I'm over that now, I NEED it!!!! It was raining out and I slowly waddle as it is! I hate people who take the handicap spots or stork spots when they don't need them X(

My Friday night is planned out already and I'm quite excited.

Calzone for dinner, pumpkin ice cream for dessert, and a movie night...The Fault In Our Stars and Neighbors. It's been suggested to me that I watch them in that order because I'll need the comedy after crying my eyes out.

Queue ugly cry, I'm sure.

Thursday morning, the same doctor said the only test left was the home bottle test to make sure that he ate well with them. He passed with flying colors over my lunch hour Thursday when I brought them in. Last night nurse was talking to me saying he would probably be discharged very very soon. At this point my hopes are very high for a Friday discharge Saturday at the latest because he's just so cute they just want to keep him one more day.

This morning was the doctor change so when the second doctor calls and says it could be end of the weekend to early next week that he is released I'm shocked. He said it's because of an apnea episode while feeding and he needed the nurses assistance. Hopes completely dashed, sadness sets in, and mad because of all the false hope. I know is just a few more day but at this point every day is feels like an eternity to get through.

Called the nurse while on lunch to find out what exactly happened assuming it had happened just last night. Anger and confusion really started to set in when the nurse tells me it had occurred Wednesday at 1 am. She said while feeding his heart rate dropped to 78 (they call it a false alarm when it's at 80). He started choking a bit and the nurse had to set him up and pat his back so he could catch his breath then finshed he feeding no issues. I'm mad because it occurred over 2 days ago and confused because the first doctor never brought it up Wednesday which I've learned with that doctor if he's not concerned about it he doesn't bring it up.

Again I trust my doctors and I may be over reacting because I just want him home. I just don't get it though. From the time it happened to when the second doctor had called with an update this morning siting it as a concern for keeping him longer, almost 60 hours had passed. That equals out to 14-19 excellent feedings since episode had occured. Maybe my question tonight should be how much time/feedings needs to pass from the last episode with out having any issues before they feel confident in releasing him.

Holy adorableness! I can definitely get why you are so frustrated. You should have been told Thursday morning about his alarm... and I feel like they should be telling you how long he has to stay depending on how low his heart rate drops (I know you said 78). Hearing inconsistent things from different doctors is also very frustrating. I would be as frustrated as you after seeing this update. I'm sorry

So today I have the day off and I was super excited about going to the grocery store. Holy crap, worse decision ever. I was in so much pain. I was almost positive Beckham was about to fall out of me.

Oh man! That's one of my anxieties - being told while Team Green. I'm so sorry that happened to you. Good for you having such a good attitude. I personally would consider a mention to the doctor, senior doctor or administrator (however your system is structured) More as a learning experience than a complaint.

So, I saw my specialist today for a 2nd opinion on my OBs sudden decision that I need a C-section due to LEEP scarring on my cervix. He says I do *not* required a C, and she is basically wanting to conveniently schedule to avoid normal vaginal birth surprises, she's prone to this I guess. SO glad I didn't just jump at this when she announced the change.
Also, he says I am completely 100% effaced, can only feel the baby's head... any time now! Come on Noob, pick your birthday for mamma!

@SarahMaureenF Call me crazy but I don't even remember seeing any promos for it! But everyone I talk to said it was hysterical. I've been feeling a little "blah" lately. I figure I'll watch Fault and get a good cry out since I can't seem to cry these days. Then I'll watch Neighbors and laugh my ass off.

Just got home from my doctors apt. I get so annoyed every time I go to the doctors, I just want them to tell me Im more dilated or something that will show me the end is in sight!!!!! Im so tired and sore and need this baby out NOW!!!! there are only 8 days till my due date and today the doctor was talking about letting me go till 42 weeks!!!! UM HELL NO!!!!

After declining a routine internal exam this morning because I didn't think it would tell me anything, I've felt significant pressure and cramps all day. They got bad enough that I decided to lie down. This is new! And it's annoying!

No need to call my docs b/c the cramps/contractions last less than 2 seconds and are random, but geez! I keep thinking, "So this is what all those women on the board were talking about! And they've been dealing with this for weeks!" I hope this is a one-day fluke, not a harbinger of what's to come...

I started feeling crampy around 2:30pm. No regularity, just annoying...although add in some chest pain and I was slightly perplexed. I read though that the BH can push on ribs at this point and cause chest discomfort. It goes away as soon as the cramps pass. *blergh*

I asked DH to please pick me up a slush puppy on his way home and he went to get one but the machine in our village was gone because of the weather turning cool! Clearly a 1st World problem though. He's gone now to get subs for dinner. He's a good cook that way.

I officially have 10 days left and need to do my lesson plans (we have to turn them in every week by Saturday at noon). I talked about doing the next 2 weeks tonight but I'm officially done for night and DH tried to tease me about them before heading to a football game. I got snippy with him and he left angry and now I'm finding myself being angry with him.

I work this weekend, and I'm sure it will be crazy like it has been the last couple weeks. At least if it puts me into labor baby isn't an automatic NICU baby now that he's 36 weeks (although he needs to cook a while longer).

Random: Anyone else notice an increase in their colostrum/milk? It use to take forever to come out and it would be a tiny supply. I just squeezed my boobies and a ton came out!
