I'm sure this will come back and bite me but...I don't like headbands on girls just to tell that they're a girl. I'd rather get a pacifier clip that is girly and has a purpose.
i saw a little mama (maybe 16? 17?) this summer with one of those onesies on her baby that said, "i'm proof my mom likes to f#ck." not cool - trashtastic.
Just my opinion... I HATE Santa Clause outfits on babies! We have friends who had twins last year and used a pic of them both dressed up in Santa Clause outfits for their Christmas Card. DH and I thought it was so... tacky! Funny thing was MIL bought us one for the baby to wear next year! That'll def be a pic outfit only!
I never liked them either, but it seems like a cultural thing. I know I would certainly never do it and I still don't like it when I see babies with their ears pierced.

I'm not disagreeing, but don't be surprised if a pacifier clip (or even a pink stroller) is enough to clue people in. We have a boy and dressed him in very boyish clothes when we went out, and people STILL thought he was a girl. People are morons!

I don't like these either...
Same here! I am not a fan of those little headbands either. They look like mini-garter belts that someone thought would be cute to put on the head of a baby. Not cute.
Maybe this is just a personal preference, but I see a lot of babies here in the midwest dressed in camouflage clothes and I think it looks so backwoods and redneck. Never cute, only tacky.

Me too. And when and if I have a girl I totally plan to get her ears pierced when she's a baby. I think it is a cultural thing. I def see it more on African-American, Indian (the country) and Latina girls.
It makes me sick to see the little mini skirts and spaghetti strap tank tops in babies r us. I told my mom that it looks like your priming your baby for a street corner. I wouldn't put a 10 year old in them, let alone a little baby.
As for the earrings, my parents had my ears pierced when I was just an infant and I'm very thankful for it.But obviously everyone has their own opinions and there's no real right or wrong.

i'm part mexican (no one ever believes me lol) and it was a cultural thing as well.?

well i guess if i have a little girl, she can be trashy with us b/c she will be having her ears pierced asap. culture really doesnt have anything to do with it with me, im straight caucasian...my mom just didnt want to hear me *** when i was 8 years old b/c my ears hurt.
I don't like to see babies/kids who are old enough to walk running around barefoot outside and in stores. It drives me crazy.
whats wrong with walking around barefoot outside? in stores is tacky, but outside, c'mon?
I'm talking like parking lots, not front yards.
okay yea, parking lots and front yards are 2 different things. i was just wondering b/c it is hot as hell where i live and i stay in barefeet all summer when im in my yard
Re: What do you consider tacky on a baby?
Ear piercings
Definitely.
I think the smaller/younger the baby is, the dumber things like jeans and overalls look on them.
tacky in what sense?
clothing?
{forever remembered and missed my sweet babe}

Oh yes, the Santa Claus outfits--yick!
Totally inappropriate onsies...there are a ton out there!
LOL! Whaaaa? This isn't tacky at ALL!!!

Jackson Douglas (AKA "The Squishy")
Omg Haha Yea that is pretty crazy.
?^^ all of the above ^^
?
?
Agreed. It seems if a baby girl doesn't have any/much hair some parents feel obligated to strap one of these on her head =/

haha...i had mine done at 5 months, so technically i am more trashy than you!!! lol
