I guess this is an UO here, but I think if the father or the mother wants a junior (make or female) they should have it.
Why?
Good question. Maybe the answer is 'because penis'?
---------///---------- No not because penis! I said mothers too! My grandmother named one of her six daughters after her (first name only diff middle name). I was also named after them (I have their first name as my middle name) and my grandfather, father & bro all have the same names. I see it more as an honor.
But you still didn't explain why you think they should have it if they want it. To me, naming a child is a joint effort and it shouldn't be only what one person wants.
------------quote fail I don't really have a satisfactory reason. It's just my opinion. There is nothing I can point to and explain why. It's my experience, and I like it.
In fairness tho my papa/dad/bro are all William, and called bill, billy, will. So they still have pretty distinct names on their own.
My DH is a III and we already agreed there will be no IV. First he hates his first name and doesn't go by it, second he hates his father, and still he briefly considered "continuing the legacy". Fuck that! Then woo hoo we are having a girl so it's a moot point
