I'm in training all day. Again. They said we could finish by 3 though, yay! We have a yard sale tomorrow morning. I hope we get a good turnout. I need all of this stuff GONE. DH forgot to bring tables from work so he's going to try to rig something up. I have a feeling it's just going to irritate me. He had one freaking job.
I have a love/hate relationship with paying bills. I love when they are paid on time in full but hate seeing that money leave our checking account. It's so depressing.
I lost my grandma this past January to bone cancer. Her house has been on the market since May. My dad and uncle closed on the sale yesterday. It never even dawned on my dad that I kind of wanted to see the house one last time and say a goodbye if you will. I am the first grandchild so my grandma and I were close. I have such wonderful memories of holidays and birthdays there. I'm kind of pissed I'll never get to see that house again.
DH works midnights all weekend. The last time he did my parents were OOT so he slept over there during the day. It's so much easier when you don't have to tiptoe around him while he sleeps. I also feel bad because he worked mids last night, got home at 6am goes back in for 12pm and works until 6am tomorrow. He's going to be exhausted.
I had my heart set on Nola and Camden being Mickey and Minnie for Halloween. I went to target yesterday to get a Minnie costume. Then I found a cartwheel for 40% off a $20 Sophia costume. So now they're going to be Sophia and Clover (if I can find a rabbit costume for Camden). As much as she loves Minnie, I much rather pay $12 than $35 on a costume!
Also, when I went to check out, the kids were crying and in all of the chaos, the costume never actually got rang up. I realized it when I got home and I couldn't take it so I went back later to actually pay for it.
@Pokedot I would be the same way with my grandma's house. My grandPA remodeled out bathroom and after he passed I wanted to touch everything just in case he was the last one to have touched it.
Can this be the FFFC thread, too? I had my heart set on Nola and Camden being Mickey and Minnie for Halloween. I went to target yesterday to get a Minnie costume. You thief! I've actually stolen 2 things from walmart on complete accident. 2 12 packs of pop and 1 bottle of Windex. The pop was on the bottom, my cart was heaping full. I told the cashier and she forgot to ring them, in the chaos I didn't realized it until I was home and looking at my receipt. Another time the window got shoved behind the infant seat. Oops!
Ugh, I'm so ready for the weekend! I'm on week 3 of being sick and feeling sicker. I'm going back to the doctor today to hopefully get something to kick this.
Despite not feeling well, we still have a lot going on this weekend. The good thing is, it's supposed to be in the mid-60s! Abnormal Halloween weather, but I'll take it!
Saturday morning we have our last day of Soccer. Then we're TOT'ing Sat afternoon with our good friends.
Sunday is open, but we still need to paint/carve pumpkins, plus I wanted to go to a kids museum around here that I have free admission to until the end of October, plus DH wanted to go to the zoo. Plus we just found out that it's also TOT'ing in our neighborhood. We'll never be able to do even half of that - so we're going to have to make some decisions.

We have rummage sales 2x a year. We use saw horses and plywood. Works excellent for table. Maybe some neighbors have some you could borrow?
I've booked myself up for the whole day tomorrow. That means DH is doing swim lessons, lunch and nap time and dinner time +2 hrs after SOLO on Saturday. I got invited to a cooking show that will prepare us lunch in a city nearby with some co-workers. And then in the evening a Norwex party.
Does anyone use Norwex? I don't even know if I'm spelling that correctly. Anyway, it's an all natural cleaner using cloths and small amounts of natural cleaner. It's all the rave in MN right now. This is the 3rd one I've been invited to but the first I can actually attend.
We are headed to my alma mater this weekend for homecoming. The only reason I am going is to see one of my beloved professors get inducted into the hall of fame. After that we are hanging out with my family. I am really hoping DH can pull his act together for the weekend.
In the meantime I am without a debit card because some jackhole got my number and spent my money. At least it has already been returned, but I am still without a debit card. Oh well, at least it wasn't worse.
I need to sell a whole bunch of Luci's baby items because we aren't using them ever again at this point.

Can you ask the new owners if you can stop by to say goodbye. The lady that sold us her house two years ago had planted some pink lady flowers to remember her mother and stopped by this past May and asked us if she could dig some up.
She told us about her mother and we had no problem with her taking some flowers and dh even dug them up for her.
I am so ready for the weekend! its been a crappy week at work and i am ready for the break.
That was until my darling husband calls up and wants to go car shopping on Saturday thus dumping our child at his mothers (i was looking forward to cuddle time with the little one after this crappy week - not dumping him at your mothers - since already have to go there Sunday for a shitty dinner ugg). Plus i am not ready to car shop. i still have no clue what i want - too much pushing!
Regardless we do have pumpkin party to attend this weekend. Yes a party all about pumpkin!! Lovers of pumpkin will rejoice others will cry. We started it and now it rotates houses among our friends but we sample pumpkin beers (each couple / family bringing some to share / taste) and eat fall pumpkin and fall foods. its a wonderful time

I might try in the spring. I'm kind of still shocked my dad didn't think about it. He even had a hard time saying goodbye becuase that was his family home.
I might ring the USPS's neck today. I sent a return back for swimsuits I ordered on the 16th. I tracked it and it says they are currently 1 hour away from my house, still. It's been over a week. I'm livid. I only have so much time before they won't accept returns. Even though I send them right away that money is sitting on my CC. Damn post office!
Oh, and apparently I'm a whiner today. How long does it freaking take to appraise a house that hasn't even been built?
Our builder built half the other houses in the subdivision. All they have to do is look at our contract and make sure that the amount we're paying for it will hold up it's value. I really don't think it should be that hard. Yet it's taking over 2 weeks to do it. It's the only thing standing in our way before we can dig a hole in the ground.
Oh and if the appraisal doesn't come in by the end of next week, we may not be able to dig until Spring. We're supposed to be moving in by Spring!!
House building is stressful. I'm waiting for the part when I'll actually enjoy this process.
And because my brain doesn't want to do any work today...
Here's my FFFC: I bribed my kid with money this week. Technically we bribe him all the time (I like to call it positive reinforcement). But he just wasn't listening, DH just kept yelling and I couldn't handle it. So I gave him $0.50 to get his shoes, coat and backpack on and stand nicely at the door.
It worked. I have no regrets.(This is my older kid BTW - my S12'er doesn't respond to bribery quite as well...)
Ugh i have so many today, sorry if this gets wordy. I cried when we got our family pictures back because I have put on so much weight since I basically ate my body weight in feelings this summer after Zeke's surgery. I should have buckled down when I booked them but i didn't and now I feel like I wasted our money. At least Zeke looks cute. Also my aunt and uncle are divorcing and it's messy and driving me insane. She is leaving him and acting crazy and I strongly believe she is starting to exhibit Alzheimer's symptoms. She keeps trying to put me in the middle of it and I just want to tell her to put her big girl panties on and get counseling or stop dumping on me about it, but that makes me feel like a horrible human being
We are way over scheduled this weekend! Saturday we have swim lessons, TOT at the zoo with a friend, then 22 of DH's coworkers are coming over for a BBQ. Sunday is pumpkin painting, football and family pictures. I'm going to need a weekend to recover from the weekend!

@kelbel527 I totally bribed Nola this morning with fruit snacks and teddy grahams so that she would put on her dress and keep a hair bow in her hair. It's picture day, so I was desperate!
I'm at a conference and I'm only half listening. I've been doing a lot of browsing on my iPad. It is free and I need CEUs, but sitting quietly for 4 hours is difficult for me.
I'm going to start a sticker chart for my LO. I don't have the supplies yet, but I've already started giving her stickers for accomplishing tasks, e.g. Brushing her teeth. Last night she went to bed with 2 stickers on her PJs, because she cooperated with brushing her teeth.
We don't have any big plans this weekend. I want to get more stuff unpacked, get organized, and spend some time outside as the weather is supposed to be beautiful. We need to get a pumpkin and either carve or paint it too.
Eta: sorry for the block of text, on an iPad.
I am feeling grumpy. I blame it on pregnancy impacting sleep and my S12er who now wants to get up at 6 a.m. While this may be the norm for some of you all's kiddos, CJ is typically a late sleeper. Now, I have to figure out what the hey to do with him so I can shower and get ready. Wah. Plus he is way too chipper in the morning.
In 2 hours I am meeting my friend for lunch and then getting a pedicure. Halleljuah.
No matter what time DS has been going to bed (which we shoot for 8:30-8:45) he's up at like 7. While 7 isn't super early, I get ready then for work so it makes it a bit more tricky. I'm just glad he's still in his cage and hasn't tried to escape yet so I can leave him in there to play with his stuffed animals for a bit while I get ready.
We have rummage sales 2x a year. We use saw horses and plywood. Works excellent for table. Maybe some neighbors have some you could borrow?
They might, if we spoke to any of our neighbors. It's times like this when I wish we were more friendly.
Can I tell you guys how frustrated I am with our local Y? They offer swim lessons for littles, but only on Monday mornings from 10:15 to 10:45. I work 45 minutes to 1 hour away from home and DH can't go swimming. They won't allow her to move up to the next level until she proves herself in the mommy and me class. How am I supposed to accomplish that when they are so unfriendly to working parents?
I just want to get my kid into a few activities and get her some swimming lessons!

Hahaha well I'm in a small town where we know all of our neighbors so it's a bit different I guess. Hope he figured it out!

I've never used it, but I know some people who swear by it. Enjoy your day out!

Do they offer "Sunfish" classes? That's what we go to on Saturday mornings. It's bascially is bath toys thrown in the pool but DS loves it.
I am SO excited it's Friday. DH and I have tix to go see Jersey Boys tomorrow night. I also need to get in Halloween mode -- carve our pumpkin, find our scarecrows for out front. If we have time Sunday, I really want to take the kids apple picking too before the season is over.
Once again, I feel like this was a week of little actual cooking. I really need to buckle down and start meal planning.

No, they don't offer any weekend things. Some friends and I found our own instructor and tried to rent out their indoor pool on Saturday and they wouldn't let us rent it once they found out we were doing swim classes. We could have a party or whatever, but no swim classes. It is super frustrating!
I need to do some activities with W. Swimming or something.... I just don't know when to do it. I need to look up the schedule.
I put on a lot of weight in the last 3 weeks. Like, 7 lb. It is so hard to eat on the road, and I didn't exercise once while traveling. The elliptical is not an option when you've been on your feet standing for 8 hours.
I am wasting a plane ticket to Australia. :-S I feel beat up from traveling so much lately, and I can't do a 28 hour travel day. I think I would just be in tears, and my feet have been freaking HUGE swollen the past week. Seems like it is happening sooner than it did last time. I hope I get to go there someday I was really looking forward to it earlier this year. It's a lot of wasted money...sigh.
A customer just left me a message. "Hey X this is Y, we've been talking off and on for awhile and we met you down in Texas...."
I have been talking to them once a week for 1.5 years. I flew down and spent three days with them in Texas. Why did he explain who he was? Dude, we know each other quite well.
I think I'll leave a message for DH. "Hi this is Sam, we met in 2007 and we have a child together. If you could give me a call back..."
I want to go to the fall festival at one of the private schools I'm interested in for the kids. DH doesn't get back in town until late tonight though so not sure he will be up for heading out for a before lunch adventure. Tomorrow night is trunk or treat at our neighbor's church. I forgot to order Leo's hat! So fingers crossed my Target still has a fox hat. Can't believe I forgot to order it. DH said he will take the boys out Sunday morning so I can relax in the house by myself. Much needed after this week with the crazies, well just one crazy, Leo is still my sweet boy.

For kid stuff, throw some blankets on the grass and set it out. I have bought things I was not planning on buying because toys were set out that way and my kids started playing with them.
@indigovader happy birthday!
@loislayn I must have missed this. Why does Reid need an MRI? I will think good thoughts for him. I hope everything is okay.
LL- I'm so sorry, that has to be so hard. When Ethan was in the hospital, I hated him going through everything when he's so little and fragile. Your little guy is so tough. He will do great.
