Update !!!! My husbands adopted mom an bio mother are throwing him a daddy to be shower .. Thank you to all who gave advise this was my first post on the boards and i haven't posted much my pregnancy has been high risk with my heart problems and having placenta previa i have been at OB more times then i ever imagined LOL thank you all an best of luck to all I have 9 weeks left before the big day !!!
LOL I'm just stating my opinion which we all entitled to. Just because I wouldn't have a second shower doesn't mean that everyone should be like me and if they're not, I'm going to call them tacky. That's all I'm saying. Try not to hate me over this, it's just thebump.com, not real life. When my husband announced that we were expecting, all his guy friends were asking if he's having a diaper party because they want in. Same thing when we bought our house, all our friends asked if we were having a stock the bar party or what we needed because they wanted to bring something. We politely replied we don't need anything, but they brought gifts anyway. Maybe we just like buying stuff for each other, and maybe we're weird and everyone else is normal LOL.
Can you read the dozens and dozens of replies in response to all of this. Because I'm so sick of all the randoms who keep coming in and stating reasons that have already been addressed as to why they think second showers or telling guests how to spend their money is okay.
Andplusalso, maybe no ones saying anything because it's been made "tradition" in your group and no one wants to make a fuss over it. But no one likes being told how to spend their money. Sf(

I've heard of a 'daddy shower' before...but i think it's supposed to by just about guys hanging out. I don't think gifts are at all part of this. Maybe you could get a friend to organize it. It could be at a restaurant/ bar, so the only organizing that needs to be done is an email or text being sent out!
