Lets talk car seats...

Re: Lets talk car seats...

  • Glad it worked out for you @mandyreads.  I've been stalking some not-so-easy-to-find travel systems at the grocery store.  I might have made one or two parents uncomfortable  :-\"

  • We are going with the Orbit G3.
  • We ended up buying the Chicco KeyFit 30 - Pulse car seat @ Babies 'R' Us using the current coupon they have our right now and saved $40!  We want to get the matching stroller (Chicco Bravo Stroller - Pulse) that you can just place the car seat into while they're small and then later, when they get bigger, you can use it as a regular stroller without the car seat with the removable insert.

  • @mdogan29 that travel system looks really good!
  • I honestly haven't even begun to look at car seats yet, but I just googled the Orbit G3.  I have to admit I am impressed.  Hubby will want to do some safety and rating research, but at first glance, that thing is so neat!!! Love that one.
  • Yes @marijaa333! And the Chicco KeyFit 30 is one of the highest rated for both quality and safety. I wasn't crazy about the red, but it was either red or beige (in the store, they have a lot more colors online, but coupon was in-store only). :)

  • I like the red!
  • Chicco keyfit 30
  • i chose the britax b-agile.  it is one of the few car seats that i can use due to grip and wrist issues. it's very simple to operate and the mechanisms don't require a lot of stress on the tendons, which is perfect for me. it's also rated for small babies, and i wanted to make sure, just in case baby arrives early that the seat will be approved by the hospital to take him home.  i love the lightweight stroller too.
