I know people call their babies to be things like 'peanut" or "little pea" and so on. I was just curious if anyone had a nickname for their little bundle. We are trying think of something creative. Something other than "baby".

I showed DH a picture of what the baby looks like at 5-6 weeks and he started laughing about it's head shape. He said it looked like the head of a beluga whale. The nickname Beluga has stuck ever since.
We are calling our Casper. We had an ultrasound yesterday and we noticed when the picture is turned sideways it looks like the friendliest ghost. Not sure if it will stick.
My friend calls the baby whatever fruit the size of that week.
Lil Brown - SO's surename and it kinda sounds like poo which is funny to us. I'm cooking up a lil brown.... Lol - we think we're hilarious, that's all that matters right :P
I call our baby Frosty because he was frozen for six long years before we did our frozen embryo transfer. My husband calls him Cinco because this will be out fifth child.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
We usually go by the fruit it is for the week. I love nicknames though so I am going to have to think of something else. My poor dog probably doesn't even know his name because I have 27 nicknames for him.

Lucky.....for lucky number 3, in hopes that this will be an easy pregnancy, lifestyle wise. For the last two we were living in different places for big chunks of time(up to 4 months) due to job stuff. We moves within weeks of both girls' arrivals, and never new if he was going to be present for the births. It was really stressful, and it was hard sometimes to be fully joyful. Also, on a superficial note, Lucky in hopes that LO3 will be a boy. Not that we were hoping the girls would be boys, or that we won't be head over heals in love with a girl. Just light hearted hoping for a boy.
I call him/her "little baby"...not original! But I talk to my dog about the baby and I tell him he is getting "a little baby!" In an embarrassing baby-talk voice...so pretty boring but my hubby thinks it's funny!

We refer to our baby as "Fafa". My hubby is obsessed with the name Fabricia for a girl. I told him we could refer to the baby as "Fafa" for now, because that is as close to "Fabricia" as he's going to get!
Buggy. Very sentimental and meaningful to us as it was the nickname of our beloved dog, Bowser, who we lost to some very devastating circumstances. He is very missed, and calling the baby Buggy is his honor makes us feel like he is close and watching over the baby.
Ugh I HATE when people call there belly "peanut" or "little peanut" it just is so over played . Or maybe I just hate my cousins baby momma who constantly use the word lol...
I keep seeing that commercial for the new kids movie with the blow up robot thing. Well there's a part where he's petting a cat and he calls it "hairy baby". I use the same inflection and call it tiny baby.

We don't have a name for this one yet, but with my first pregnancy we called him/her Pepe' from the Muppets because at the first ultrasound it looked like a king prawn. Even though we lost that pregnancy, we still have a Pepe' figure in our house as a reminder/memory.

My best friend calls the baby "parasitic alien" and hubby calls it " the colonel" because at the first ultrasound they told him it was the size of a grain of rice which he kept accidentally calling the kernel of rice in my belly... Then when baby started dictating how I felt all day it became the colonel
Re: Nickname for your baby to be?
I would like to think of something too.
