  • @flyliceandcoffee, so much agree about the know-it-alls.  I'd also like to add braggarts to the list.  I was just treated to quite a bit more than I wanted to hear about my co-worker's gifted daughter.  (Everyone's special snowflake is gifted--blerrgh) :-&

  • @URmysunshine77 I agree that seems to be on the low end of normal.  I don't understand why that would trigger a jump to clomid.  I would think the next step if one wanted to medicate would be progesterone supplementation after O.

Anyway, I agree that going to a RE is the best plan.  Good luck!

Thanks @tlc35. I totally agree. I asked about a supplement, but she was really clueless, so that is the main push for me to see an RE now.

Thanks @Davie813. It really helps to hear others' experiences.

[Deleted question on SART success. I think I've found a good RE in my area. FX they can schedule me soon.]

I agree that is weird.  My OB started me on progesterone for 3 months first. Then added Clomid after. I felt a little better when my acupuncturist thought I was a good candidate for Clomid too, since she's on the holistic side.  I know it's unpopular here, and I guess uncommon, but my OB did/does monitor- lining/follie check etc. However after 15 months I am finally ready to move forward to an RE.

I guess I didn't actually reply but that was @URMYSunshine77
  • People that are "one uppers". People that are know it alls. At work the other day a co-worker was "educating" all my other co-workers on her sister's IVF process. She had everything so backwards, including insisting they TRANSFER 15 fertilized eggs back into her! Lol I could only argue with her so much without revealing my cards. FB: The weird vague posts on FB that prompt people to ask what's wrong then they say they don't want to talk about it. Bump: The "am I pregnant posts?"

@CML11 - Oh man.. I can't STAND one uppers! So freakin' annoying!!
Also can't stand the know it alls. I work with one of those "Know It Alls" .. She is annoyingly super cocky but when it comes down to it, she doesn't know shit and then seriously cries when things go wrong. OMG .. And we work with victims of crime! HELLOOO??  LoL
I'm totally with you on your other two pet peeves too. ;)

  • @vh2014 - i just didn't tell DH that I got a thermometer and what I was doing. What he doesn't know can't hurt him ;) He did get really confused one morning when he heard the thermometer beep and thought an alarm was going off, but he went back to sleep and promptly forgot about it.

  • @flyliceandcoffee We get up together, but I decided today the stress from NOT temping was so high I'd just tell him about it... and cry if he gives me grief.(I'm not a crier so when I do you'd think he tried to kill me he's so sorry) LOL I'm not that manipulative, but I think he'll be understanding if I explain.  He didn't want to stress me out was his original reason for none of that so if I tell him it's having the opposite effect I think he'll come around. :)

Off Mirena Nov 2013, On Nuvaring end of Jan, Back off Sept 2014.  Never ending cycle starting end of Sept...
    11/14 Provera failed... cycle continues
12/14 High FSH (57 "midcycle")  OBGYN had no clue... about anything
01/15 More lab results coming back from RE. U/S showed small (1")cyst on left ovary, thin lining, and couldn't locate right ovary so  possibly straight to DE and IVF

Occassionally mess with the chart below to see "what if" and learn (not to make it pretty but because FF stays drunk with me).

  • @vh2014 @flyliceandcoffee Yeah, I got the thermometer and just started using it every morning. He obviously knows it's TTC-related, but he heasn't asked for any more details. :)

  • just out of curiosity, why didn't he want you to temp in the first place? My hubby initially didn't think we needed to keep track of all the things, but after our mc, he realized he doesn't care what i keep track of if it puts my mind at ease. He just doesn't need to know about it every step of the way haha.

  • DH at first didn't want to know anything about TTC at all (besides BDing). I think he felt it put more stress on him. Now that it's been a few months he asks questions all the time and seems more interested in knowing stuff. I don't share all my crazy but he knows how the temp stuff works in general and charting, etc.
  • It wasn't that he didn't want me to temp... he just thought we should both relax and "see what happens".   He's never tried before except when we were trying before for those couple of months before we started planning a wedding so he's still under the impression you BD a few times and presto 9 months later you have a LO.  We both discussed we wanted low pressure and if it wasn't in the cards for us we weren't going to do IVF or go through the heartache he watched his sister go through with adoption so as long as we BD'ed a lot we'd hit O day and we'd just see.  Sounded logical to me too but I never thought I'd want to know EXACTLY what was going on, but then again I've never had all the weird stuff I've had since we started trying and I when I temp'ed before I was typical and almost like clockwork.  Of course, I hadn't been on Mirena for almost10 years and wasn't AMA before either. :)

  • @lcwed‌ thanks for the shout out!

My Estrodiol numbers are on the high side, so I'm still fearful I could get cancelled for OHSS. More follicles have showed up, went from 6 to 11. They are still small so I'm worried. Going for a high protein diet for a while, maybe that will help!

So my ER(egg retrieval for those that don't know) MIGHT end up being Monday. My DH has a big job promotion interview that day!!! Oh crap! FX it's ANY other day!
  • @CML11 FX your DH gets his job promotion.
