we only had one date night and that was out to dinner. we did fondue though because that takes longer than your typical meal. We always enjoyed browsing Barnes and Noble and getting starbucks before we had dd. I think we'd still enjoy that too.
Wouldn't know We moved right before DD was born and again when she was 10 months. So I haven't found anyone I trust to watch her yet. I imagine dinner and movies though.
The rare time we get for date nights it's normally just out to dinner. My mom winds up watching him a lot on weekday afternoons so I don't like asking her to give up part of her weekend too.
We go out on date nights a couple times a month. I love the Lux Level movie theatre that has the waitress you push a button for. We also go out to nicer dinners, meet up with friends for drinks after. We sometimes go to the casino to play black jack, go to comedy shows or see a concert if theres a band playing we like.
Rock climbing at the indoor rock climbing gym and pizza, dinner at a new restaurant and walk, or out with friends. A lot of our dates before baby consisted of dinner out and a movie at home. We still do a lot of movies at home.
Usually movie and dinner! But Friday was our date night and we had to spend it shopping for birthday decorations. It was still nice to get out without the babe.
My DH plays in a band and I like to go to as many shows as I can, so I use up my evenings out for that. Only my parents and ILs watch the kids so we try not to take adnantage of them. DD is in school and my mom watches DS, so sometimes DH and I will take the day off together and have day dates. We figure mom would have the baby anyways if we were working. We go to breakfast, linger at the record store, run errands, go have lunch and a beer. It's nice to waste a day together.

A couple times a month! I think I am doing something wrong.
We have been out exactly 4 times without DS since he has been born. Twice to lunch and a movie, once to a fancy restaurant and hotel for the night, and last night we went out to see Jim Gaffigan.
We went out for our anniversary (dinner) in April, a wedding reception in June and a wedding in August. That's it. We have willing babysitters but we have no money.

My mom used to be our daycare until DS just became too much for her to handle on a regular basis. Now he is in a full-time daycare center, so my mom is more willing to watch him sometimes on the weekends or evenings just to get her Grammy time in. So for the next six months we should be able to get out more. Then there will be another newborn.
date? hah. our dates are like @breadandbutter07. when we're doing house projects..i make sure he holds my hand while we are browsing which window/door for our remodel.

I miss food shopping with my husband. I like doing everyday things together the most.

Same here! It has been a while since we had a date night. Our last one was months ago. I wish we could go a couple of times a month.

Our baby sitter is only $10 an hour. We also have BIL whos jobless so it's a good way for him to accept money when we offer.
