Hi folks - I was pretty regular on here until I went into labor and then kind of went dark. I had no idea how difficult it would be to do both - re: take care of a newborn and get to all the other things in life. I'm learning fast. It didn't help that we had a parade of appts after leaving the hospital as Zachary had a heart murmur (he's fine) and also has been having feeding issues that have been causing weight loss and we're still figuring that out - so been back and forth to the pediatrician. And of course having a c-section has meant I could do less. Anyways - my apologies for not keeping up with things and I want to offer a blanket congrats to all who have had their babies in the last 10-11 days. I will go in and do a more personal congrats hopefully in the next week or so and I will also go in and post my birth story. In the meantime - hope all are doing well and those who have had their Lo's are enjoying them and those who haven't are soon to give birth. More very soon. In the meantime, going to try and post some pics here - we'll see if they come through. Meet Zachary Conor! Cheers all!!

I'm with you, it is so hard to keep up! I read a lot of the birth announcements but can't usually think clearly enough to comment. Lots of love tits when I come to the board. Hope the little one gains weight quickly!

Congrats! I try to keep up while breastfeeding but I still have difficulty. Being a FTM or a mom of a newborn in general is difficult. Hopefully your LO starts gaining weight. We had to supplement at first until my milk came in and had extra appointments because my girl had lost too much weight but she has come back up which is good.

Such a sweet face. I am bumping less too. Lo needs me all the time. We too have not gained enough weight either. We are working with our pedi to figure out a good balance. Good luck to you and I'm so happy the heart murmur issues is resolved.

Congrats and I agree! I was never overly active but the last month has been crazy. I am a third timer and it's not easier!

Thanks folks for all the FX and kind words. We had good news today - our Lo finally gained some weight. We have been doing BF then alternating with supplementing a bottle of breast milk that I pumped with a bottle of formula after every BF session, the last two days after seeing the doctor on Monday. It was exhausting but resulted in a 2.5 oz gain today. That ruled out super scary stuff - and now we are just doing breast milk - BF and bottle from pumped milk and meeting with a physical therapist to have his neck and jaw looked at, which they believe some of the tightness there (he was super crunched up in me - I'm only 5ft) is the reason for the issues with BF. Also the doctor today (now our main pediatrician as he's on vacation) said to maybe space out the feeding a bit more now as she thinks maybe he needs to be more hungry to make him want to work harder to get milk from me. We tried it and I swear he was feeding better. So fingers crossed. Hope is that we'll be off bottles and just BF'ing very soon - using bottles only when DH is spelling me. @rosalie12 - I hear ya - I need to change my ticker too - will try to do that tomorrow or this weekend. @lrobi13, @keelyd - Sorry to hear that you all are dealing with similar issues - Hoping you guys figure it out too. So hard when you are doing everything you can to care for Lo, and you find out that he/she is not getting enough food. @Leysin97‌ - Glad your little lo is gaining now.

Glad to hear a positive update. We had a small weight gain but still not back to birth weight just yet so we are still working on it but we are on the right track!
