Friday night! Our toddler is asleep, our newborn is asleep (for now), DH is putting together an IKEA enteratinment center, and I'm drinking a weak gin & tonic and farting around online while eating Cheez-Its. WOOHOO! :O)

Mother eff! I just went to Baskin Robins and the paid and the freaking girl just handed me my change in QUARTERS!!!! $6 in quarters!!! So pissed. What the fuck am in supposed to do with all these quarters?! She could have at least told me they had no more singles and I would have used my card!

We took a mini road trip to a friends housewarming because we thought it was only 1.5 hours away. Why are we so dumb? It took 2.5 hours and the kids screamed as kids do. Never again. Never again. Except to go home tonight. \m/

Anyways, tonight I went to a friends daughters birthday party and a random lady started questioning me about why I didn't plan my due date better so I could have had a May baby (I'm a teacher so I would have had leave then summer). Why do people think these are ok questions to ask? I really wanted to tell her that I lost my May baby due to a miscarriage just to make her feel as uncomfortable as she made me feel. I am probably just over sensitive tonight but oh well.

Also, if one more person tells me how "perfect" it is that I am having a girl since I have a boy already, I might have to come up with a snarky comment. I am obviously extremely excited, but I'm also scared shitless to have a daughter. People are just annoying me tonight, lol.

Im so tired of hearing the. "One of each. perfect family. youre done right?" I hear it abut 3-4 times a week. Its no ones business what my uterus decides to do later on.

I am slowly repainting our baseboards which sucks. I just noticed I missed a spot after I put all the stuff up and washed the brushes. Instead of fixing it I am drinking a glass of wine and watching the hallmark channel.

@bantyrooster‌ I've had irritable uterus this time so it does feel like period cramps. I even have dreams my period is starting. Now BH are a whole other level of crazy. Since 2nd tri when i get BH I feel like I can't really breath. Like it squeezes my lungs too. Annoying

Oh Emery was gifted her first Barbie today (well technically theresa) and she absolutely loved it. Would not put the doll down for hours!! I forced her to leave it at home because my aunt was taking her to a party. She was taking her shoes off and putting them back on 182783 times, making her dance, making her walk, making her fly. I'm glad someone gifted it to her because I would have never known she was ready for one.

So I sort of volunteered to host Xmas dinner for my moms side of the family. No clue why now that I think about it. And I've never made any kind of holiday meal. I was thinking roast beef or ham for the big main...any suggestions?

GMIL really like the turkey I made last year and keeps asking me how I did it? I keep giving her a vague answer of i brine it. Today she asked if I just used salt. I really contemplated telling her yes and leaving it at that. I told her no it was a mixture of stuff but I refuse to give her the real recipe because I'm an asshole like that. She's not the kind that would ever give me credit after the fact and I think it really got under her skin that everyone liked my turkey more than hers.

I visited two daycares today, and saw kids in winter jackets and hats. My older kid went to preschool in a polo shirt and a sweatshirt. Worst Mom ever

. In other news, I'm not ready to send my baby to daycare! MY LITTLE BABY! Can't I just carry him around with me forever?

Also, we are starting to think about the double daycare/preschool drop off, and I think we might have to buy car seats for our 2nd car. We have two convertible seats in the van; didn't even occur to us to do one bucket/two bases for the baby, since our 1st was born when we didn't have a car. Whomp whomp :-??

@britbratjf Our Chirstmas dinner is basically just Thanksgiving all over again, except we have ham instead of turkey. We usually have the same sides as we do on Thanksgiving.

@corgimum I hope you enjoy your quiet time. My H and I were just talking last night about LO. When I am home she is needy/clingy to me 24/7. She is always asking for things, wanting to be held, won't let me out of her sight and refuses to let my H comfort/help her. It is crazy and she is with my H. It is exhausting and by 8 pm I am done in.

Man, I don't know when things turned around for us at the super market but it has. I have a legit helper now. I have to let her put everything in and help scan, but she picks out a candy at the end of our trip and she is *almost* a joy to have at the market. She even climbs into the carseat by herself now so I just open the door and she gets in.
She still sucks at Target though. Too much distraction.
