How do I wean from pumping, so I can continue BFing?

I am a full-time working mom. I EBF and pump three times a day at work (9am, 12pm, and 3pm) for 15 minutes each session. I EBF my almost ten month old when we are together (morning, nights and weekends). I would ideally like to quit pumping on Dec. 31, 2014.

When should I start weaning from the pump and what are the best methods to wean so that my supply won't tank and I can continue BFing DD?

you could probably drop down to 2 pumps a day right now. you can either shorten the middle pump by a few minutes each day until you drop it completely, or you may be able to go cold turkey. (when i dropped down from 3 to 2, i was getting so little out of that 2nd pump that i was able to drop it cold turkey).

when your LO is getting closer to a year, you can do the same thing to go from 2 pumps to 1, and again from 1 to 0. you may need to pump for a few minutes for a couple of days if you feel uncomfortably engorged. i only had to do that for 1 day before i adjusted, but for some it takes longer.

as far as keeping your supply up after you stopped pumping, if you continue to nurse on demand when you're home, you should be fine.
