So, we have a wedding out of town this weekend (leaving tomorrow) and I exclusively pump. This evening I washed all of my parts quickly, bathed LO, and got her to sleep... I came out to get my pump parts ready to do my night pump and realized that when I dumped the bowl of water that I clean my parts in, I dumped all 4 of my membranes down the drain... I was frantically trying to see if I could see them, when DH said, "I ran the disposal"... Ugh! Damn you, mommy brain for forgetting that I still had those membranes in the water!!! A quick trip to Target had to be made...

Please tell me your mommy brain stories to make me feel like I'm not the only one losing my mind!!!

I corked a bottle of wine, pulled the cork off the corkscrew, popped it back in the bottle, and put the bottle back in the fridge. Without putting any wine in my glass.

Put bottle in bottle warmer, turned timer on but not the warmer...multiple times...oh and I put frozen peas in the utensil drawer instead the freezer!!! Sigh...

When I finally have a chunk of time to do chores, I pop from room to room only halfway doing things because when I get to the other room I have totally forgotten what I was doing before!

Also many mornings I cannot string a sentence together and DH thinks I'm crazy. I just stare at him while I struggle to find words.

Yesterday, we opened the windows and blinds. It got chilly last night so I closed all the blinds... it never warmed up so I turned on the heat. DH came home and was like, wtf are you doing? I never shut the windows. Oops.

These are all so funny. I don't think my brain ever came back from my last baby. On Friday my 4 year old had dance class at 6pm. At 3pm I told myself to get everything ready for dance. At 7pm I realized we never went to class! I was so upset. Then I got in the shower put shampoo on my Loofa and lathered up. Didn't realize it until I went to wash my hair.
I am doing dumb things all the time. I don't know if my brain will ever return.

Yesterday I got LO all ready to go in the car for a quick trip to the mall. Went into the fridge to grab one of her bottles and got halfway out the front door before I realized I'd grabbed a beer.

Pretty sure my subconscious was to blame on that one...

Had too many things in my hands when loading up the car last week. Set my sunglasses on top of the car, but on the back so I would see them. Yep, 20 minutes later, I realized that strange sound was my shades falling off the car. Get to the sitter that evening. Load all of the baby stuff up, start walking to the stairs, grab the gate and realize, I should probably grab my baby too! (facepalm!)

I went shopping with my LO when he was 9 weeks old. We were out for a couple of hours went back home and nursed him and went to grocery store and got gas. When I was pumping gas I looked down at my feet and had on 2 completely different shoes! What's funny is that I thought one of my feet were a little swollen because my shoe felt funny..but never even thought to look at them!

My boss left a cup of coffee on my desk for me. I saw it was there, but went to pump and forgot about it. An hour later, he asked me how the coffee was. I was like "wait. what happened to that coffee?" and walked around the office looking for it, because it was not on my desk.

I finally found it later. Empty. In my garbage can. I have no recollection of drinking it.

This morning DH (who was home with LO today) called me right as I pulled into work and asked if I knew where his car keys were. I looked next to me and there they were on the passenger seat. I had taken both sets of keys. I had to turn around and drive home and ended up being late for work.

I did that while pregnant. I went to pick up pizza and thought something felt off with my shoes because the textures of the soles didn't feel the same. When I got home I realized I was wearing two different flip flops. Here's my matching picture.

I also put my items far away from a cashier who was in a wheel chair. She just stared at me until I realized it wasn't a conveyor belt.

In my defense LO was fussing up a storm both times.

I have another one that's bugging the shit out of me.

I bought lo mittens. Last night, I couldn't find one of them anywhere. It was in his closet. Fine. I SWEAR I put it with its mate, on top of the dryer. This morning, neither mitten is there and I can't find them anywhere. So annoying.

I was looking for them all day today and finally realized they were probably victims of my wine-drunk cleaning spree Saturday evening. I just assume i will forget things once a day.
Left the valves from my pump home. 2x. Had to hand pump to keep from getting engorged.
Went a whole week thinking I had my wallet in my bag, only to learn it was at home the whole time.

I am so mad at myself for this - last night when I was getting the milk ready for the babysitter who was coming today, I realized there was a bottle missing from what I had pumped at work during the day. I eventually found it in my pump bag - I had never put it into the cooler pack after I pumped or into the refridgerator when I got home. I ended up having to throw out 5oz of milk!! It was one of the saddest things ever.

I wash all my bottles and bump parts in the sink and put them on the grass drying thing next to the fridge. This morning I went to get my parts assembled so I could pump and opened the fridge and just stared into it. For like 3 solid minutes. Until my DH was like "what are you looking for" and I snapped out of my trance.

The worst part was after when I was telling my husband about it and he didn't understand why I was so upset. He was like oh it's no big deal, you have plenty if milk in the freezer. I was like omg you have NO idea how much work/time it takes to get five oz!!! Ughhhh.

The other day I had to throw out 14 oz because I never put it in the fridge when I got home from work. So LO had to have frozen milk the next day. I was so mad at myself!!
